This was already reported a few pages ago. Elfman just says he's using Silvestri's themes for AoU.

OK I abonded the thread, but wanted to share this with you guys

Not to sound like a downer, but did people really think Elfman's Spidey theme would show up in Age of Ultron? If anything, maybe a new theme for Spidey, but no way would pre-MCU movie content seep through into the MCU. Sorry Maguire/Raimi webheads.

Pie on my face, though, if it does happen and that's Elfman pulling some smoke and mirrors trickery.

Nope. I haven't really been in to any of the Marvel stuff (only one I've seen is Iron Man), but the trailer for this looked cool.

I'd suggest watching The Avengers at least. But to get a real scope of it all, you should watch all of them.

If you've seen iron man, you can get away with watching the first avengers movie, and captain America winter soldier.

But if you really don't want to, you can go to this cold, you just won't follow some of the motivations, so the movie will feel a lot shallower

You'll be able to understand a good 85% of what's going on - these films don't have particularly deep or complex stories - but you'd definitely have a much stronger understanding of it if you watch the rest of the MCU films beforehand.

Welp. No Spidey tunes by Danny Elfman in Age of Ultron.
But the return of the Avengers theme ks kinda confirmed...

It doesn't necessarily mean no spidey theme though....

I'm a manager at a Regal Cinemas, and I can confirm that the current runtime is 150 minutes. Thats the runtime that we have gotten from Disney ATM. I believe the 160 minute runtime is the theatre adding in the 10 minutes of trailers before the show.

Joss said that he directed both Avengers films for people who haven't seen previous MCU films in mind as well as fans. It would still help to watch them though.

I'm sure you'll be able to follow the plot quite easily, but you'll have a better understanding of the characters(the best part of these Marvel films) if you've seen some of the other movies.

I don't understand the "why no twins" on the promo stuff. The trailers show them as villians. Most casual people may not know they become avengers at some point in the movie. So it makes sense they wouldn't be put in the spotlight.
