Holy shit!

10/10, except that Rabbit got away (which is good for next season.) Edit: Unless they're just leaving it as-is.

That was fucking good. Can't wait till next year sucks it is over for the time being.

Holy shit at that fucking ending credit scene. Now I really can't wait a year.

Best piano wire kill I've ever seen

Lol at Sugar instantly getting shot going into the building. The inside of the metalworks looked like a counter-strike level.

My reply from the thread over on AVSForum. I started the official thread (for the life of the show) figured I'd make my long reply there.

'Banshee on Cinemax'
http://www.avsforum.com/t/1448137/banshee-on-cinemax/60

So I guess Gordan and family moved out since Carrie sided to free Hood.

The scene where Burton was strangling Mr. Longshadow's henchman was intense. I briefly looked away as I thought the dude's neck was going to be sliced open

I guess Kai really got revenge on Mr. Longshadow by blowing up the progress work on their new casino/hotel. I did not know who that single man was. The guy making the phone call to his girlfriend/wife, then getting blown up when Deva made the phone call triggering the explosives.

Really wish Rabbit was killed by his daughter, Anastasia (Carrie.) I think she shot him? Guess it wasn't a "shoot to kill" as she could have shot him in the head or what not. Then again, she shot him twice in the stomach.

I'm glad that none of the "good guys" died during the rescuing operation. Job, Sugar, Brock, Emmett, Siobhan, Carrie, and Hood all made it out a live.

When the hunters found the dead body in the fields I figured it was Rabbit. It was the guys that Hood killed in the original bar fight in the beginning!

Not to mention, Hood's son researching where he was, and finding the Youtube video clip. It took like 8 episodes for the story to do something with the Youtube fight scene

Looking forward to next season for sure. 2014 is so far away, but glad we have Strike Back coming shortly.

PS, wrote this reply after 3 high alcohol beers

Banshee Graphic Novel Vol. 1

*closes book*

*looks out the window, longingly for vol. 2*

See you guys this summer for Strike Back season 3

Should also add, they always nail these ending credits songs.

Never watched Strike Back is it anything like Banshee?

Not really. It's like the very best of action movies but every week. It's really good though. If you're into the action stuff in Banshee, definitely give it a shot. It's quality and doesn't have any of the suspect cgi in Banshee. A lot of action and globetrotting (most of the cast is british).

S3 teaser actually gives a good indication of the kinda show Strike Back is imo:

If you've ever watched a 90s action movie and thought "man, if they could make this into a series, I would love it" you will probably really enjoy Strike Back.

Alright then. Gotta give it a shot at least once. Banshee actions scenes are great reminds me of a 80s flick.

Another thing I like about SB is the format. Ten ep seasons like Banshee but they have two episode arcs that tie into an overarching plot that gets settled in the final two episodes. It works well. So now you're getting into it 2 seasons behind you can kinda treat each 2 ep arc as little movies, watching them in 2 ep bursts like that.

So it's like a serious A-Team?

haha not so much a random merc team, they're part of a secret british military op but its good, you should all watch it. Quality stuff (you could argue it's better than Banshee as far as cinemax shows go). Higher budget definitely but I know its partly funded by some EU production companies so they can afford to shoot on location in places like South Africa etc. Mostly real explosions etc etc

Episode 1 is on YT (censored) but still:

Gonna watch Strike Back after I'm finish with American Horror Story! I know nothing about it other than the background ad on Banshee's pilot episode.

Banshee is Roadhouse
Strike Back is Die Hard

This is good. Maybe less Die Hard more a less whiney (Scott and Stonebridge pretty much fuck, drink or kill their existential anguish away...especially Scott) Rambo thats team oriented? I can't find it but there was a good article on it last year that kinda does it better about why it's a good show. As much as it's call of duty, its not as shallow as it appears to be because of lot of these characters are kinda broke yada yada but yea. End of the day it's a great cinemax show, and imo their best that they have right now. Action, drama, sex its all there and none of those things get shortchanged to service the others.

Just be sure to maybe skip the first season. Er. The real first season. It used to pretty much be a different show, then they completely changed the cast and it got a lot better.

Cinemax kinda pretends the real first season doesn't exist so don't skip over the first season of the better version, which is really season 2. Yeah, it's confusing.

Yeah the real first season is when it was primarily just a UK/EU production right? Then Cinemax got involved and its all fuck yea bro time and aweomse haha. Strike Back Project Dawn and Strike Back Vengeance are what you want. As long as Scott and Stonebridge are main characters you got the right one.

Again, first ep of the "right" season is on Cinemax's yt:

Man fuck y'all. I just blew through this series and now I hear about some show called strike back which is even more entertaining? You guys are killing my free time

Is the first season of strike back bad? I like thorin oakenshield but I'll skip to season 2 if I should

I think that's my favorite ep. The whole hotel part feels so much like Die Hard.

I wouldn't say it's bad. It's just kinda boring and humorless in comparison to what the show becomes. I couldn't make it through the whole season.

Great finale, though it irks me that Rabbit got away. It seemed to me like his story was built as a one season arc and I thought that it felt totally wrapped up by the end. I don't see the need to stretch it out across multiple seasons when they have so many other things on their plate. I trust the writers to do something cool with him in season 2, I guess, but I still think that he should have died.

Job and Sugar were on a roll tonight. I love their banter. :D

I was wondering when the Youtube video from episode 3 was going to pop up again. Makes sense that OG Hood's son would come across it. With the son discovering the video and the bodies in the forest being uncovered, looks like Hood's going to have a world of shit coming his way.

I lol'd so hard at the corny ass mayor getting blown up

Ah, so that was the mayor. I didn't recognize him at all.

Just be sure to maybe skip the first season. Er. The real first season. It used to pretty much be a different show, then they completely changed the cast and it got a lot better.

Do NOT skip the first season of Strike Back. It's just as good, if not better in some ways, than the more recent seasons.

Man fuck y'all. I just blew through this series and now I hear about some show called strike back which is even more entertaining?

Strike Back is a pretty fun show, but Banshee is more entertaining, IMO.

The first season of Strike Back is amazing, but it's a completely different show than the follow-up seasons. Season 1 is like...a serious, well-done thriller that isn't campy and is well acted. It's less like Die Hard and True Lies and The Rock, and more like...Blood Diamond or Skyfall or a serious action thriller. It's good, but good for a completely different reason.

That's how you fucking end a season.

The RPG scene was "stand up and cheer" worthy. And so was Ana turning Terminator.

I should've known we had a thread about this awesome work of art. Whole season has been great and I'm so glad my brother recommended it to me early on.

Season 2 is going to be insane. So many questions to answer.

SUCK! MY! TIT!

haha i can't believe they made that a catchphrase for job.

P.S. Job > Lafayette.

I have to admit that the little we've seen of Job compared to how much we've seen Lafayette grow as a character has me at a point where I won't choose sides quite yet but Job is a straight beast on all fronts so far. If we get more Job in Season 2 and it resembles anything close to what we got from this season then I'll gladly hand the crown to him.

Clicked this thread.

Saw a thumbnail for Rebecca.

Kept clicking through to see more pics.

Started googling her.

Going to get the series on iTunes (BUT CAN'T FIND IT).

Banshee is a graphic novel whereas Strike Back is a 90's buddy-cop action flick if they were special ops guys instead of cops. It's certainly not as pulpy as Banshee, but Strike Back thrives on the chemistry & charisma of the two leads. It's a good show worth checking out, and I hope people from this thread give it a look if they haven't already. It'd be great to bump up the number of people in the GAF thread because it's such a fun show.

I lol'd so hard at the corny ass mayor getting blown up
I think they realized that they didn't know what to do with the young mayor plotline, so they decided to just blow him up. It's a very Banshee-esque solution. There are plenty of more interesting cast members, so I don't mind much.

Awesome! Thanks for proving links. I'll be sure to check them out when I have more time. (I also need to get around to watching those prequel videos...)
