Beat EviLore at pool.
Really don't know how they will do a second season. But fuck it next episode better have a badass montage with Hood kicking ass thru the station.

If Proctor dies this soon I'm going to choke a non-descript Eastern European mobster.
Alas poor Olek.

Didn't know that the actor that played him is Greek. Dude is ripped, too.

Any competent writer would realise that Proctor needs to corrupt Rebecca to the bone* before he can pass his criminal empire to her. All in time.

*do you see what I did there? I am so ingenious.

Man, this shit will be like Romeo and Juliet, with the Banshee Sheriff Department as the Capulets and the Proctor Criminal Empire as the Montagues.

Or some shit. Eventually Hood will bring her back to the light.

With his penis.

This makes sense and see just seen her go to her first meeting.

It should be weird that Cinemax is making better action movies (this, Strike Back, etc.) on TV than most of Hollywood, but at this point, it isn't.

- TV Guide: Inside Cinemax's Bloody Hit Banshee
With its brutal violence, extreme villains and graphic sex, Banshee feels like a superior late-night exploitation flick. But, says showrunner Greg Yaitanes, "in the end, it's a love story within a candy-coated action show." The demographics bear this out. Like all of Cinemax's programming, Banshee is aimed primarily at young men, but, according to Antholis, about 35 percent of the audience is women. With an average gross audience of 2.7 million viewers, it's also the network's most popular series. (Cinemax has ordered 10 more episodes for 2014.)
Much more via the link. There are a couple vague spoilers, but nothing significant.

Whoa, I had no idea it was more popular than Strike Back! Awesome! And it's cool to see that its audience is fairly diverse. Good job Skinemax!

I hooked up my gay gim buddy and his bf and a chick from the Body Step class to SB and Banshee. They love both shows.

I'm doing my part!

Everything I see or hear about this show makes me want to watch it, but I don't get Cinemax. Ugh. Can't wait for this to come out on DVD so I can watch it.

- Charlotte Observer: 'Banshee' actor talks cross-dressing, stereotyping
“I’m not a small guy, and even if you are a small man, that kind of makes you a huge woman,” Lee says. Yet for the premiere, he basically told costume designer Patia Prouty to do whatever she wanted. “That was a mistake. That was a terrible mistake.”

“The wig (I wore) was actually a composite of like six different wigs. And it weighed a lot, it was very heavy. The corset was this custom leather corset, which I got strapped into and was very, very tight to the point where I couldn’t sit. I couldn’t even really eat, and so I was vaguely nauseous for most of the day. If I needed to rest, I just had to lean against the wall.”

He does tend to put that sad puppy face. Case in point:

What I find really amusing is his arms-half open strut. Almost as if he were this HUGE FUCKING DUDE when he's actually thin and fit.

Edit: From now on that strut should be called the Hood Strut.

Hood is probably the most badass character on TV right now. The prison episode was amazing.

Also...why does everyone have to be so stunningly buff in this?

Makes the sex scenes better I suppose!

I use a YT extension for GAF and was heavily spoilered by just the titles of the videos alone. :( You should probably not post direct links to the youtube scenes, post a link to the the youtube channel or something.

Ah, I can see how that'd be a problem. I rarely use the mobile version, so I forgot about that. I'll swap in some tinyurl links or something in the future.

Season finale tonight! *read the logline at your own risk - potentially very spoilerish*
A Mixture of Madness

Season One Finale. Recalling a series of prison therapy sessions that fueled his hatred of Rabbit, and pressed by Xavier's insistence that the FBI handle a kidnapping case, Lucas makes a decision that will change the collective fate of Carrie, her family, Sugar, Job and the entire Banshee police force. A special delivery at Alex's doorstep leads Nola to reconsider her future; Kai teaches Rebecca the power of telecommunications.

Thanks. I always avoid previews so was disappointed to be spoiled for the last episode. I'm sure there'll be lots more to the episode

- Sepinwall Re-Reviews Banshee: In the end, Cinemax's 'Banshee' a fun bit of pulp fiction
"Banshee," the Cinemax crime drama that wraps up its first season tonight at 10, is among the dumbest, most ridiculous, lurid, disgusting shows on all of television.

That is also an enormous part of its charm.

Haha, Sepinwall is spot on. I'm hyped for the finale.

Oh god that gate shot can't be part of the episode. Can it? I'll fucking die from awesomeness if this actually happens.
