Always the Cowboy
As Rabbit closes in on Carrie and Lucas, Carrie flees the hospital in a desperate attempt to collect her family and get them out of town. Kai introduces Rebecca to the business world, and sends Lucas a message about fooling around with his niece. Alex Longshadow recruits a Proctor thug with gambling issues to deal with a work-stoppage problem at the casino.
You'd think that they would have exhausted their supply of action, conflict, and general pulpy awesomeness, but they keep on topping themselves every week. I skipped the logline for this week since Cinemax tends to lay out a little too much in them, but I'm excited to see where this is all going.Man, that sounds action packed even by Banshee standards.
Welp, deputy Kelly is the cutest thing.
I think Hood is going to end Rabbit next week. I don't see any other end for this
Fantastic episode. I loved Job's bit in the beginning - from his "Oh Snap!" alligator shirt to his comments about Hood's drab apartment - everything about that scene was hilarious.
I actually hope Carrie kills Rabbit instead.
Banshee = abbreviation for batshit insaneeYep. I like how they've coined the phrase "getting Banshee'd"
Alan Ball was infamous for ending every True Blood episode with a curveball and every season on a cliffhanger. This was the first Banshee episode to conclude in the middle of the action which doesn't bode well for the finale. I'm guessing Rabbit meets his demise but the FBI team pops up at the last minute, Proc and the Indians escalate from a skirmish into a standoff and no major character diesJesus Christ, the tension is rising to absolute ridiculous levels. I sure hope the season will wrap the situation, because I have troubles waiting a week for new episode, let alone 10 damn months.

That Proc vs Hood fight was the most pointless scene I've watched all year.
Wasn't pointless. They bonded there. In banshee the only way to bond is to:
-fuck (obviously not really preferrable for either Proctor or Hood)
-bury a body together
-have a fight
I expect the tribe to be the next big bad in S2, not Proctor.
Hah, that's an apt way to put it. Still one or two punches and they should have had enough, both of them had other concerns that should have taken precedence; it's the over the top nature of the characters and the show that had them punching and strangling each other for so long.
I don't see how they could position the tribe as the big bad, the new chief doesn't seem smart enough. Anyway I'm mostly just sticking along for the Rabbit, Dalton and Hannah dynamic, I don't think I'll be coming back for season 2
That Proc vs Hood fight was the most pointless scene I've watched all year. How old is Rebecca anyway? Doesn't this Amish community have Rumspringa?

You might be forgetting about what Kai did to Rebecca in the last episode after he found out she'd been sleeping around. There's no way one or two punches would quell his guilt/feelings. Once he found out about Hood boning her from Burton then fisticuffs was always going to happen when they met next. If it was anyone other that Hood then they probably would have ended up dead.

-I like how the new Chief's sister is just off to the side with no dialogue whatsoever, looking sorta creepy, smiling a bit from time to time, like she's the Chief's version of bowtie/glasses guy; and is it just me, or does that Native American necklace thing make the actress even more smoking?
"boner, stop"
This man gets it.Wasn't pointless. They bonded there. In banshee the only way to bond is to:

Paraphrasing Justified's Boyd Crowder, he's going to die from being an asshole.Rabbit looks like he's going to die from being old.

Aye, they really can't kill off characters like Sugar and Job as their stories haven't fully been explored yet. Next season with the triangle Proc vs Tribe vs hood+sugar+job's casino heist has been setup nicely.A Native American assassin using a tomahawk as their preferred weapon of choice. That feels like such a comic book-y thing to do. I love it. I wonder if she uses a bow and arrow instead of a gun?
I think it would be a huge mistake for them to kill off any major character besides Rabbit.
Why not? You seem to be enjoying it.
She'll turn bad for a bit then Hood will make her good againBTW, I'm going to enjoy watching Rebecca go bad so, so much.
Alan Ball also fooled with the first True Blood previews when they teased it as some sort of dramatic allegory of racism in the deep south...
I think Alan Ball has a lot less to do with this show than you think he does. He's an EP on it, but it's not like he's the showrunner. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if we have a cliffhanger on the finale given all the balls in the air at the moment.Alan Ball was infamous for ending every True Blood episode with a curveball and every season on a cliffhanger.
That tag past the credits was hilariously random.A Native American assassin using a tomahawk as their preferred weapon of choice. That feels like such a comic book-y thing to do. I love it. I wonder if she uses a bow and arrow instead of a gun?
Promo for the season finale (please spoiler tag any discussion)
who's the bowtie guy (I think that's him) strangling? Hood?

"guilty boner"
I bet Gordon will be the one to kill him.

This took me a second to figure out what I was looking at.
But that can't be right.
A body can't decompose that much in that short of a time period.
Agree. That said, I have to wonder if they plan to give Job a boyfriend. Maybe a hot, burly ass Amish with a ginger beard.By the way whoever chooses the females for this show deserves a medal. None of them are the "typical" hot girl, this show has good taste.
Deva is going to kill Rabbit.
So Alan Ball twist is that it isn't an Alan Ball show. Fooled me againI think Alan Ball has a lot less to do with this show than you think he does. Lol, Rabbit's death is probably going to be a bloody messy affair and Deva is the tiniest weakest character on the show (besides Max). Not going to happen. They've played with the Deva character a bit: not sure if she's a 'good girl' (teasing that boyfriend of her's without giving it up) or a 'bad girl' (trying to seduce?! that drugs guy) but she seems a softie at heartLaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
HehSo Alan Ball twist is that it isn't an Alan Ball show. Fooled me again
True Blood did keep the cliffhanger tradition after he stopped being showrunner
hah. I should be collecting more gifs from this show. Job is easily my favorite character.
I could see that happening. He keeps on threatening to do this and that, but we haven't seen much from him. Seems like everyone pops off sooner or later on this show, so maybe it's his time.Gordon might actually be the one to do it. They haven't really pushed that Gulf War hero angle yet (although 'relapsing PTSD' might explain him ransacking the house like that). Gordon dies killing Rabbit. Hood, Hannah and Deva live sadly ever after (Max doesn't make it)
