Eh. Probably not the first time he's taken a load in the face. His fans ought to be used to it by now.
I mean from all the ones I have seen, not one incarnation of live-action Jimmy has even been a red-head.

Should of just had that female reporter who was in MOS and this be a gender flipped version of him.

Whoa, one of the scenes is Security Footage of Batman at Lexcorp when he stole the Kryptonite

Can I ask why people are excited about this? How would seeing security camera footage of Batman breaking into Lexcorp improve that particular part of the film?

Because that scene wasn't in the movie at all, all we got was Lex arriving at the aftermath.

I always figured that was the intention anyway.

Seems a bit sloppy for the urban legend Batman to show up on a security camera.

I know but perhaps that scene was removed to improve the pacing? The aftermath gives the audience enough visual information to know what happened.

I agree with Blader, the edit does feel intentional. It's actually one of the better editing choices in the film in my opinion.

Because lots of people complained the movie didn't show any of it.

Larry Fong just nipped any semblance of morbid curiosity I had for this. Thanks, Larry.

I will say though, I kinda liked the trailer.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
I hope there is a version of the movie where the Sound of Silence is the entire soundtrack.

The movie's framework and plot are beyond salvaging. Getting a bonus fight scene isn't a bad compensation if it's on the level of that warehouse scene.

We don't know how extensive the footage is in that sequence though. Could be a very quick glimpse and nothing more.

Should go without saying but it's not going to drastically change the story. What the Ultimate Edition should do is flesh out stories, make things clearer, perhaps provide better editing, etc. So if you're issues were with those things then your opinion on the film very likely will improve.

If you hate the idea of the story, the tone, etc then I doubt this version will change you mind. If you hate the film then you'll keep hating it. If you simply were okay with the film and had issues with certain things then things should improve and you might end up liking it or more. I think that is where the majority of people might be. If you liked it might make you love it. If you loved it then you might love it even more.

This is the same Batman who leaves batarangs at his crime scenes.

He wants people to know he's coming after them.

Sure, I don't disagree with that per se, but I'm always down for more Batman action.

Is all you need to know about what this cut really is. It's the same movie, but it makes sense now.

How does this shot make that scene make more sense than the theatrical? Is it because we will no longer just see Superman close his eyes in sullen defeat, but instead take stock of the toll on civilian life? I can see that ....

He's not an urban legend. How can he be if the batsignal and batmobile exist? Is just that nobody has photographed him or exactly know what he is.

He's saving people after the bombing and puts his face on the front. In the UC it seemed like he flew off cowardly and let thos people dying.

All releases of the UC on Blu-ray/4K include the theatrical cut.
Yeah, of course. I guess I missed an "only".

Looks decent actually.

Also, they added more shirtless scenes so I'm obligated to check out the new cut now.

Making it longer won't fix the tone issues I had with the movie.

I can't judge it solely based off of this trailer, but it still looks like Superman is a mopey sadsack. The length of the movie wasn't the only problem with it. The editing of the movie wasn't the only problem with it. Some things can definitely be fixed with smoother editing, but characterization, and whole swaths of story beats, scenes, and actor performances just won't be fixed by an additional 30+ minutes of footage.

With that said, I'll surely watch this version when its made available. I liked the theatrical release of Watchmen, but own the Director's Cut, and think it's a much better movie. I'm not sure this DC will improve BvS, but I never thought the movie was garbage to begin with (just mediocre), so maybe this extended edition may clean up a few things, although my issues with performances will no doubt remain (Cavill was still flat and uninteresting as both Clark and Supes, and Eisenberg's Lex Luthor was just bad. Like, really bad. There was literally nothing redeeming about a single scene he was in. The film equivalent of nails on a chalkboard for me). I'm interested in seeing more Affleck and Gadot, however. They were definitely highlights of the movie for me.

Trailer does nothing to convince me to sit though this film for another 3 hours, the extended/added scenes may make the scene transitions and some of the plot points a bit clearer but that won't suddenly make the awful plot great.

Will buy.

Movie had some obvious problems, but it wasn't nonredeemable garbage like it was painted as. Hoping that its improved with this cut

Can I have a shortened version instead?

Will pick up out of the supermarket bargain bin when it gets there just to re-watch the Batman action scenes and check out some of the additions, but I genuinely can't face the thought of sitting through a longer version of the film. Lois and Clark are just too insufferable in this universe.

If we get to see Batman breaking into Lexcorp, I hope that we actually see him kick the shit out of Lex's basketball.

Can't imagine what they'll include in only 30 mins that could completely redeem the movie, but I enjoyed it in theaters so I'm looking forward to this.
