Batman v Superman Extended Edition trailer + details

I hope they've made the editing better. It was clear to me in the theatrical edition that shit was cut out.

And I liked the movie a great deal, so I'm definitely grabbing this Ultimate Cut.

What's the final track that plays in the trailer? The heroic one?

Edit: I hope Jena Malone is Carrie Kelly and she calls Bruce 'boss' throughout. Then in the Batman solo, she takes on the Robin identity for reals.

Even more of the atrocious Lois.

It will probably fix a bunch of stuff, but can't fix this Lois being a shit character forced into plot relevance for some dumb reason.

Nobody ruins my family vacation but me...and maybe the boy!
I have serious doubts that the extended edition will fix any of the movie's problems. The film is rotten to the core IMO

not tag worthy
What if Snyder only works best in a 18 /R rated setting ?

Haven't seen the theatrical cut. So going into it for the R rated.

If they cut all the justice league stuff out, and minimized lex's presence, the movie is already better.

Is this purely an extended edition for fans of the original or a true reworking of the film like Blade Runner?
I can see myself being interested in the latter if it manages to fundamentally alter aspects of the theatrical cut that only did a disservice to the film as a whole (I'm thinking the shoehorned JL elements).

I quite enjoyed the film despite its obvious flaws. Looking forward d to watching this on my friend's projector.

Best trailer by far, they definitely felt that reaction.

I feel like the best possible cut would dump like forty five minutes from the theatrical cut and then add this new half hour (assuming it isn't also rubbish). So many subplots in the theatrical cut just do not need to be there. I mean, it's always going to lead to Martha, but I'm sure you could cut together a decent two hours somewhere in there.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
The movie is fundamentally flawed. Extended cut isnt going to save it at all

If you can't tell a good story in two and a half hours, another 30 minutes isn't going to make a difference.

whether or not the movie is an improvement i think eisenberg will get some retroactive praise for his lex luthor one day.

it was jarring for me seeing lex as some neurotic mad scientist but he really sold the character on the rooftop scene as he blackmailed superman. seeing this shrimpy guy hold so much power and control over the supergod (with the glowing red eyes too) was a cool contrast. and that line he has in this trailer is great (best trailer for the movie too)

zack snyder/terrio need to chill with the god and biblical analogies though. overkill in the film.

This movie was doomed from the beginning when they skipped Man of Steel 2 (and the Batman Solo movie) and jumped right into BvS, this is 3 or 4 movies in one, way too cramped.

My favorite part of the whole movie was when Justice League was introduced through YouTube videos.

And the Aqua Man one had him floating awkwardly there for 2 hours before he did anything. There was actually someone who screamed at the screen, GOOOO, because he just awkwardly floated there for an unnecessary amount of time before he did something.

i think the extended cut shows wonder woman hitting the dislike button on the aquaman and cyborg videos.

The entire Africa subplot is a major misstep in the theatrical cut. A majorly re-edited sequence could really help, even if the movie's other flaws are still present.

eh nah

Eisenberg as Lex was just straight-up annoying to watch on-screen and pissed me off to no end whenever he said his lines. Personally, I don't think any amount of contrast or would be enough to stop me from rolling my eyes at his cringeworthy performance. Maybe by a better actor or a better casting decision.

They'll need to come with something for Aqua Man which isn't Momoa clearly holding his breath, it looks as goofy as fuck, certainly doesn't look like someone at home underneath the waves.

eh, to each their own. i think over time some people will like him more though. i've enjoyed all 3 performances of lex. hackman was pompous. spacey was like a sarcastic genius.

eisenberg was perverse and got off on controlling people. that scene when he puts the jolly rancher in the senator's mouth was awkward and almost homoerotic lol. i think there's merit to all of the luthors we've seen on screen. it put me off for a bit but the rooftop scene swayed my opinion of him.

Still haven't seen this movie.

All I know is something about their mothers being named Martha comes up and Jesse Eisenberg is profoundly irritating.

Except they didn't just slap 30 minutes of footage in random parts of the movie and called it a job well done.

I'm in the supreme minority that actually enjoyed his Lex. I have major issues with the film. He wasn't one of them. His motives and knowledge without the film really telling you why or how.... that's another story.

Wait, so they try to make the movie better (it wasnt bad in my eyes, yet it was far from perfect) by making it longer? It was already really long...even too long...

Why didn't we get this version of the movie? Somehow, in the history of film (omitting Kingdom of Heaven because if you haven't seen the directors cut, drop your shit and go watch it now) has there ever been a directors cut of any super hero movie to date? Sub-comment, and it was better than the theatrical cut?

Because WB wanted a cut less than two-and-a-half hours so theatres can show it more times a day. It's standard practice. (The last major director's cut of a superhero film, if you count it, would probably be Watchmen)

I think the movie had bits (20 mins apparently) shot in IMAX too, right? And 70mm theatres have limitations on how long the movie can be.

Daredevil. It becomes a Blade tier movie in its DC.

Watchmen's director's cut is pretty famous too, I mean, it's a masterpiece.

Can't wait, I loved the theatrical cut. Here's hoping the extra time adds to the film rather than detracts from it.

It was supposed to be like this but WB supposedly wanted it shorter to have more screenings so they cut it down.

Besides the extended editions of lord of the rings and the hobbit are better than the theatrical versions.
