There is no way they can make any huge changes/reboot at this point. SS is fine. WW and JL1 are in production. Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg and Black Adam have all been cast and some presumably have solo films in some level of production. I could see a lot of behind the scenes changes in terms of producers and writers if BvS has a lukewarm box office reception but I doubt they just start the whole thing over.

Yep, there's no way.

No way at all.

Which one Synder has his hands on?

Ain't happening. It's still gonna make a good amount of money this weekend. We'll see where the dust settles.

I hope Warner Bros realize that Batman, Superman, and maybe Wonder Woman were the draw of Batman v Superman.

And that they'll still have been the draw for a Justice League movie.

Dawn of Justice is probably as good as it'll get for this cinematic universe.

I want Snyder out, but I doubt they will kick when JL P1 starts shooting in 2-3 weeks...
I'm with you man. I haven't even seen the movie but 30 something % on a Batman Superman movie? GTFO here bruh. WB, take an L for 6 months and give this to someone capable of directing and someone else (not Goyer) of writing it. Honestly seems like Goyer got big as some super writer thanks to the NolanBros's cocktails. Both of them need to be removed from the DC running team.

DC needs to find their Russo brothers. Not Christopher Nolan, let that man do his own IPs. I would pay a ton of money for Jonathan Nolan to be DC's Fiege. He's a brilliant writer and director, I'd imagine he'd love that opportunity. Don't overwork him with all the movie, but have him in charge of the plans on how to move forward. Other than that, find Russo Bros version somewhere and pay them a shit ton of money. Jonathan Nolan to single superhero movie, Battfleck to direct Batman movies, and new guys to hand JL and Superman movies with other talented directed to handle the rest.

EDIT: Forgot about George Miller. He would be another good shout.

None of those movies are really anywhere yet. The furtherest ones along are Aquaman and Flash, which have directors/writers and lead actors, but the scripts aren't even finished yet.

I agree but I also never expected it to review this bad. So my read on this kinda stuff is totally throw off.

Pretty big difference in canning a movie that hadn't starting shooting, versus canning an entire movie universe that is already 2 films deep, with 3 more in production.

But I think assuming they'll just stay the course, where Warner Bros. has scraped budding superhero film franchises at the first sign of it not going according to plan, is equally unlikely.

Said it once and I'll say it again, current DC films need to realize grim dark doesn't work for every character. Especially Superman.

Will they learn this lesson? Probably not.

They've got a lot more invested in this, but you are right when you consider that we still haven't even hit the box office numbers yet. I think WB might be hoping that the numbers are tepid but something they can spin as a stepping stone of some kind, but if this movie somehow does the unthinkable and outright tanks, they have to consider how much of a stink that will leave on any figure DCEU films and take drastic measures.

This is basically Snyders MGSV.
Hey, I hated MGSV too but this is essentially the opposite (especially if the audience reaction remains favourable). It was noted that the story was weak, but even then MGSV was overwhelmed with praise and glowing reviews, perfect scores etc. It's when hardcore fans invested hours in the game and formed their own opinion that they died inside.

There isn't a sequel to MoS. BvS isn't a proper sequel to that movie, and that's one of the main issues. WB didn't want to wait and spend time expanding their cinematic universe.

Going by the trailers it does seem to be a direct sequel to the events of Man of Steel, it even shows Metropolis being blown up from a different perspective.

But yes, I agree it was too soon for a movie like this.
