Guys, let's at least congratulate WB with their marketing campaign. They were honest with their trailers. They were accurately representing the movie's shit-tier.

Guys superhero films need to make me laugh and not think

I can't look up wikipedia for what "disenfranchisement of the proletariats within this dystopic meandering world" means while eating popcorn

RT scores fluctuate like crazy, especially this early.

Obviously at this point it isn't going to hit 90%+ but it likely won't stay this low either.
Yeah its likely going down. LOL

I'm just optimistic that this is the end of Hack Snyder's career. Dude just sucks ass so much. Hides bad direction with editing. Clear as a day to anyone with active braincells.

and after this, get your hype trains ready for Badguy Patrol, the unbelievably fricked up film where Jared Leto is a real "basket case"... have you even seen what his forehead tat says? scary

Forbes reviewer says "Not helping is a terribly written Bruce Wayne/Batman. Ben Affleck is a fine actor, but his Batman/Bruce Wayne is the least appealing cinematic incarnation you've ever seen."

That seems to go against what most people say.

People remember Batman and Robin.

oh god is this even worse than that?

Well IMO the movie felt kinda bloated.. but this is outright harsh I thought it was pretty good, but yeah... Batman carries the movie. batfleck is really good

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is not a good movie. It offers a truly unengaging Batman and then allows that character to dominate the proceedings while providing a painfully mopey and grim Superman-and-Friends narrative where the only ray of light comes from its homicidal arch-villain.
.

Several reviews knock it for not being a Marvel joyfest. I don't think that's fair. It's its own thing.

If they want to dislike it for other reasons, great. But to dock it points for not aping its nearest competitor closely enough is just dumb.

Go spend your money on 10 Cloverfield Lane instead . I have screening passes to this tonight, not sure if I even wanna go now.
Why would I not go see a movie I'm excited to see because people on the Internet said something bad? That's like saying I won't dare eat beef because vegans tell me it's bad.

Bad revie s always come out quickly because they're mostly written to get out their first. The good reviews will come, and most importantly, it's the moviegoers who decide. I'm there regardless of 5% or 95%. If it sucks, I won't see it again or buy the blu-ray. I like all of Snyders films so far

humorless, not fun.

Well fuck, seems like critics really don't want variety.

Eh. Daredevil's first two seasons have neither been lighthearted, nor particularly funny. That said, they're also restrained, focused, and (most importantly) enjoyable. Same goes for Nolan's first couple of Bat-flicks.

Not to shit on a film I haven't seen, but critical bias is probably not the leading factor here.

Goddamn man. I've already bought the tickets.

This will be the lowest rated movie I've ever paid to see haha.

Goddamn. It's time to take Snyder off these movies. Give it to Affleck.

How do you go from such positive first impressions from Grace and such to this? I'm honestly confused here.

Because fanboys are just excited to see their fav characters on screen. Things like plot dialogue, and story cohesion don't matter to them on the first viewing. Its only on repeat viewings that they allow themselves to see the flaws.

Well according to the reviews the story doesn't make sense and will "make your brain hurt" so...

News within a week from today:

Production of Justice League film postponed.

Count on it.

You don't postpone a $250 million dollar production 19 days before principle photography starts. Might see a panicked revisions of dialogue and some smaller scenes in the script, but it would cost too much money to delay, let alone delay it before you see how the general public responds to it.

No it isn't, it's like saying you won't eat beef because beef critics say it's bad

You know, makes sense.

If the reviews are this negative right now I dread to see how absolutely scathing MovieBob is going to be to this movie considering Man of Steel was a movie he didn't want to admit he disliked so much lmao

I don't think you'd see any movement on Justice League until April 4-8th. WB will probably wait to see how it does at the box office opening weekend and then see how WOM affects the second weekend drop.

Remember, Transformers movies get ripped apart in reviews, but they make money. That's all WB cares about at this point.

Probably because despite its quality it made them money. This one will too. The brand is bigger than everything else in this case.

Still, you'd think they wouldn't be blind enough to know it was the brand that pulled in those numbers, cus it certainly wasn't by word of mouth. And the only way to pull in more punters would be to make the next film critically acclaimed. Which so far ain't happening, not nearly.

The opposite happened to me with MOS. I hated it at first and grew to love it.
