Only one man can save the DCCU now
I mean his movies are okay movies, but they were awful super hero movies.
I guess it is impossible to do both at the same time.
Guys I've seen it and guarantee it is way way better than the horrible man of steel.
In fact I'd put it just below Dark Knight and Winter Soldier. Some of these reviews are quite surprising.
Then again the contents of the film and that ending was always going to split audiences again.

I like the two reviews that try to give it "praise" by saying that at least it's better than Man of Steel.
I will be honest here, I have yet to truely enjoy any of Zack Snyder's film. Yes, that includes Watchmen. He does some nice cinematography, he uses special effects well, but he fails in the one thing that matters, making a movie enjoyable from start to end. And if the reviews in the OP are any indication, he continues that trend here.

DC should just use Snyder to direct fight scenes.
Given that the Dark Knight was pretty close to being the best reviewed comic film of all time (going by average review scores rather than less meaningful RT scores), and the fact that TDKR actually reviewed better than most of what Marvel has put out, I don't think there is some grand critic conspiracy against serious superhero films. They just don't like Snyder's take on dark/serious.
Saw it 3 times already
I don't mind sitting through BvS tho, especially on a non-LieMax screen

It's a big superhero movie, it should be fun for christ sake. DC's comics aren't this dull and uninspired so why should their movies be?

I dont have a hate bonber for Snyder but I have no idea how he kept getting all that work for these movies. All his stuff was pretty average. I wouldnt call anything he has touched great.

I'm sure us optimists will be eating crow soon in that prediction thread, but wow. I'm going to wait for the other reviews to start trickling in, but holy shit WB must be waiting for the good reviews now. I'd imagine Kevin Tsujihara is pissed at Zack Snyder now.
- Spent $250 million dollars on a movie with the three biggest heroes in all of comics and ended up slightly fucking it up.
- Jeopardized 6 movies slated for the future, 1 of which is being helmed by the man who may have fucked up.
- Jeopardized what could have been (and very likely still be) billions in dollars of revenue, year by year and lifetime for WB.
- Snyder may have fucked up yet another big budget blockbuster.
It should be worrying now that the entire basis for the DCCU is one solidly mediocre movie, that gets action and scale right and everything else pretty wrong, and another prospective mediocrity that looks to do the same thing.
Save us, Ben Affleck and Chris Terrio!
