Can someone tell me more about this Max Landis? The Kinda Funny podcast is the only exposure I've had of him, but he seems like a chicken dick.
He wrote one of the best Superman comics in ages, American Alien

I gave up on 33 so I'll stick with that.Ok, it seems like the score is going to keep fluctuating between 32 and 33
Let's go all out
It's 32 v 33: Dawn of Rotten Scores
Which team are you in? #32 or #33
Ten years from now, I wonder if we'll get an interview like we had with Joel Schumacher...

"If I disappointed any one of you, I want to apologize. That wasn't my intention. My intention was to entertain..."
I can't be hard on Schumacher. In that case, the studio absolutely pushed him into making a glorified campy toy commercial.
But Zack Snyder made a film that definitely feels like he had control and this was just what he wanted to do, for better or worse.
I've experienced the exact opposite, the only acclaim I've seen for the show is in GAF... And of course friends' girlfriends, but they don't count cause they watch horrible shows like real housewives of basketball players or sumtin.

Vox review said:Perhaps the biggest problem is that all three had to share the movie with Eisenberg, who is turning in his best impression of an unfunny Michael Cera as Lex Luthor.
So, which stage of grief are we at, currently? Denial?
But Snyder is a true comic book fan, we just don't get his take on the characters.

It's ultimately the response from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice audience that will determine the film's success, according to Superman actor Henry Cavill.
Following lukewarm reception from movie critics, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice team is encouraging moviegoers to put aside the critical response and to see the film for themselves before dismissing it.
"What is really going to matter, I believe, is what the audience says," Cavill told Yahoo! Movies. "Because they're the ones who are buying tickets, they're the ones who want to see more of this kind of story or not and so the audience's voice is the loudest and after this weekend, the audience, at least partly, will have spoken."
Amy Adams, who plays Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane in the film, agreed with Cavill. "I know that Zack [Snyder] doesn't make the movies—or none of us—are making the movies for the critics."
"You can't go into it with that perspective. I know we really hope the fans like it and so far the reaction has been really positive on that front," the actress added.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is certainly on-track to make a whole lot of money on its opening weekend. Sources have been reporting Batman v Superman will open to $159 million in the United States, and to $390 million worldwide.
Director Zack Snyder—who will soon begin filming Justice League—doesn't seem worried about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's success. "I'm a comic book guy and I made the movie based as much as I could on that aesthetic," Snyder said. "And so I don't know how else to do it 100%, so it is what it is."
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuts tomorrow, March 25. Curious what we thought? Head over to IGN's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice review to find out.
Holy shit this is so perfect.
ThanksTwitter meltdown last summer
Complains on Twitter that Red Letter Media didn't like his movie
He's very, very opinionated and thinks his shit doesn't stink. Which is fine, whatever.
Is that true? I'll check it out right now then.He wrote one of the best Superman comics in ages, American Alien
You're reading one man's observation that is based off of an opinion... But you seem familiar with opinions since you linked to metacritic. What the fuck am I reading?
I mean - not like it matters to you - but metacritic has JJ at 81% and Daredevil at 75%. Their IMDBs are almost the same (JJ 8.3 to DD 8.8) too.
no agenda here tho
And I hated Terminator Salvation, fuck.

Schumacher directed some mediocre Batman films but that's hardly anything to apologize for. Poor guy.Ten years from now, I wonder if we'll get an interview like we had with Joel Schumacher...

I love American Alien. It's like a breath of fresh air but also a familiar comfort at the same time. The Anti-Snyder.
But where would you find actors without feet?Snyder is a big comic fan if that comic fan grew up reading them in the 90s as a teenager and they never grew up to understand that there was more to comics than what a 90s teenager reading 90s comics got out of them.
He's like the perfect director for a liefeld comic
Just tell the production designer to put a lot of large rocks on the ground. But where would you find actors without feet?
LOL. Post of the year. But where would you find actors without feet?
Honestly, it's almost as good as your Fan4stic thread..which I like to revisit for laughs. Title changes definitely can't be beat tho..This thread is killing me.
That webm needs the song over it.
So as of today, and according to RT, Deadpool is a far better movie than Batman v Superman.
Go back six years and tell me that. I'd think you were nuts.
Thank you... It's always weird when you find yourself agreeing with a pretentious asshole, right?Screenwriter/director, who got famous on Youtube doing critiques of comic stories (i.e. The Death and Return of Superman). Has made a few movies, some of which have done well (Chronicle) and others that have bombed (American Ultra).
For what it's worth, I like the guy's output, even if he tends to be an overexaggerated jackass. I think that's part of his schtick.
just read first 5 issues. I really dig it. Issue 2 feels more like a Supernan Prime story, and Edwards knocks it out of the park. There's also a really interesting Nerdist podcast with him from a few years ago. Co-Host Jonah Rey called him out for being a giant tool at a comic con party and he came and to, hypothetically, defend himself. He just seemed like an even bigger tool based on his reasoning, but went on to show how good he is at pitching and why he sells so much stuff.
And American Alien is a metric ton better than I thought it would be. I just find it impossible to like Landis because he's such a giant cock goblin.
Superman: "The only way for me to solve this crisis is to be Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice"Lex Luthor: "At last, Batman vs Superman! The dawn of justice is upon us!"
who is this, dear?![]()
Eagerly awaiting his review.
