What do the lines on the performance graph mean again?

See at the bottom, avg/min fps.

Damn, Ultra and 1920x1080 put it at around 30fps for 560 Ti. Guess I better stick with High for now.

Try lowering only shadows, blur, effects (high) and HBAO (to SSAO), helped me a lot during beta.

I should dl and check lol

The beta has closed! (but maybe I miss the irony? :p )

I did a lot of testing on the beta. The following will imporove performance dramatically:

Turn Off MSAA
Turn Off HBAO/SSAO
Turn DOWN shadows to Medium
Turn DOWN/OFF Motion Blur

The biggest offenders are MSAA and HBAO/SSAO. Disable those if you want higher FPS.

Personally I think MSAA is vital, does a lot to the image. Rather lower something else.

5850 am cry. I guess it´ll have to do for co-op.

But better performance than beta would be awesome, my brother´s 2 6950s run the beta pretty well even without the preview drivers from Ati. If the retail version eliminates the sub-60 instances in 64 player large maps, that´d be great.

Really hoping retail improves performance when scoping. Playing as a sniper absolutely murdered framerate on caspian border with my 1gb 6950/i5 2500k with 8gb of ram.

Worth mentioning: pcgh.de is reporting stuttering on Geforce 8, 9 und 200 cards. The new driver didn't alleviate this problem.

All you need is 2xMSAA (1920x1080), 16xAF, highest object detail (if it affects draw distance), then put everything on low/lowest. After that, simply enjoy the ride! It'll still look alright judging by the lowest screen in the OP.

lol no I mean the in-game BF3 performance graph. I should have been more clear.

No SLI or CF benchmarks yet for retail with the newest drivers? I need to know which way to go already damnit! lol.

I have a desktop with a ATI 5770 radeon HD. 5 gigs of ram.

I have work computer with a Nvidia Geforce GTX460m with 8 gigs of ram. I7

Go with the laptop?

I feel like reducing aliasing is way too important in a long range game such as this to sacrifice.

Ultra settings hoooooo!

Any intel on how a 6970 will handle this?

The first page and OP is full of benchmarks!

I'm really interested in the 360 controller, as this is how I plan on playing the game

According to a reviewer in the old thread, the X360 controller works well except in QTE events.

Ok that's good. In the beta I don't even think they wanted anyone to use it. Although you could, but it was basically broken

May be i have serious eye defects! i cannot see 6790 in the charts.
but thanks.it is good news for me

No, I meant a 6790 is comparable to a 460 1GB. The 460 1GB is included in the charts.

Tempted to buy a GTX 560 Ti for this game which is weird since I hate playing games on a PC. Hopefully the X360 version will satisfy me.

I'm getting a LOT of microstutter.

I'm running
i7 920 stock
Crossfire 5870s
6GB Ram

It's seriously making this game unplayable right now.

It's also stuttering on my GTX 590. :( Argh!
Okay, it's the new drivers. Reverted back to the Beta BF3 drivers from last month and it's now running at a smooth 60 maxed out @ 1080p. Good job on those WHQL drivers, Nvidia! lol

Fucking nice. Doesn't even seem like they improved shit according to the benchmarks in the OP.

Looks like my 6850 will just sputter along....lol

I think youll be surprised. My slightly overclockered 6870 is running this singleplayer very nicely.
Never dips below 30 really, mostly 40-50 in the action.
Everything on Ultra, except shadows down and motion blur off.

I have some stuttering though, not low fps mind you. But Im also certain (I hope) thats because my q8300 quad isnt too good along with my slow ddr2 ram. Its like 'loading' sort of lag as it tries to load in something new.

Overall quite impressed, for SP though. I'm sure a 64 man battle on MP is gonna crush my PC.

Seems like promised, 6-10%.

Unless my math is off (which is possible as I fucking suck at math) 560ti @1080p is the only one that saw even a 6% increase.

Any way. Time to jump in and see how it goes for me with 560ti's in sli.

SP runs well on high on my 4870, 8gigs of ram and Q9650 core 2 quad. Gonna try MP

Self quote. Only played a quick, nto too hectic round of Conquest before being disconnected from server and didn't really have any issues performance wise.

GTX 580 Ultra @ 1080p on Ultra

Campaign: 40-50FPS
Multiplayer: 60-80FPS

Never seen a drop below 30 for campaign, 40 for multiplayer.

Extremely impressed.

Go go go on the 560ti's. Report how it runs for you!

I can not see any differences between High and Ultra. Somebody point'em out for me, plz.

Well, for one, it uses 'proper' anti-aliasing opposed to the shader based thing they use on medium and high (I think), this shader anti-aliasing thing is less demanding than full anti-aliasing but it has problems with alpha textures which gives some objects (like fences) a weird shimmer as you move towards/away from them. This was the case in the beta so I don't know if it's changed much for full retail.

I'm getting a lot of stuttering with my 5870s and I can't get CF to work regardless of what I do. It seemed like CF was working when I first started the game, but then my FPS halved for no reason when I changed a control setting and it won't work again.

I've tried both the 11.10 P3 with CAP 3 and 11.9 drivers.

I guess it depends how you count it, average would be the logical. Minimum framerate gets 10% (30->33). Might be a weird chosen map too.
