How will ZeniMax/Bethesda's conference go?

Todd Howard knows exactly what he's doing

I'm a believer now. He and his team are pros.

They may have cut corners with their engine (them faces), but the content looks AMAZING. I'm so much more excited for this game than I ever would have been had I not seen this conference.

I think I'll spend almost all my time making towns, connecting them together, and then restarting the apocalypse by luring in every possible enemy after they're fully equipped (I hope that's possible).

CARAVANS. Customizable mechs. JESUS

Great show and a strong start for E3. Looking forward to see what everyone else brings to the table.

5 in the morning here now so time to sleep. Absolute pleasure sharing the hype with Gaf though.

Bethesda's first E3 conference was stellar. 30 minutes of Fallout 4 didn't even feel like 30 minutes. Doom footage was amazing. Dishonored 2 footage was amazing. This is totally the best way to start E3. Well done, Bethesda.

Looking forward to Fallout 4 this year and Dishonored 2.

Still disappointed that in this sea of last gen remasters, the one game that needs a remaster, doesn't get a remaster.

Solid show. Fallout looks to really go out their and try some news stuff for them. My hope is they come through! Also Snapmap is lovely I love that kind of stuff

Best conference easily. No bullshit (except for the free swag for those in attendance) and just games.

really impressed with their first go at it

This was the greatest E3 presser I've ever witnessed. So glad I stayed up for this.

That Fallout 4 stuff just kept coming, sheesh. I'm still shaken.

well bethesda has laid down the gauntlet for this e3 really strong opening

So unbelievably excited we're getting Fallout 4 this year. I really hope I can get my hands on that collectors edition. It looks great!

I can't say I like the two main character idea in dishonored 2. I also thought the new character was just flat. Otherwise it wasn't bad.

Doom 4 was a bit mixed for me. I like the fast pace but I hope they can jam enough enemies on screen without any slowdown. I'm not impressed with the artstyle being so similar to Doom 3. Artwise, it's Doom 3 only more well lit. I would like to see something less dark.

Fallout 4 looked better than the trailer we saw previously. I suspect we saw the PC version. They seemed to have added a bit more color this time around although not as much as I would have liked. It seems like Bethesda creates color hotspots but leaves the variety out of the nature landscapes- likely a drawback of trying to create such large environments. The option to play a woman is nice but I wonder how many players will actually do it.

Other than my usual criticism about art in Bethesda games, I'm stoked. Fallout 4 looks solid while everything else is more wait and see. I could see myself buying their other games but that depends on Dooms gameplay adjustments and just how much they deemphasize Corso. Hopefully the two characters play the same levels and it doesn't affect things too much. I can't see myself even bothering with Emily.

YES! YES! YES! I don't know how I feel about the dialogue setup since having it in list form allows for a lot more responses unless there's a "click here for more responses" response. They also fixed the gunplay and took a lot of what Obsidian did with crafting, mods, etc. and really turned it up a notch. I hope the quest lines are as deep and engaging as New Vegas's with factions and the like as well, but there wasn't any talk of it. Holding out hope!

And November 10th of this year! HOLY CRAP! I need to build my PC by then.

Not a great first half, and Dishonored 2 being a pre-rendered video was a bit of a downer, but Todd was gold.

I dunno, he seems a little Ratchet.
Seriously, he has the same exact voice as James Arnold Taylor. He should've left the stage doing a Tidus laugh or something.

FO4 crafting seems cool, world looks fairly good, but characters and combat still look sub-par. Could be redeemed for me by interesting story telling, but kind of seems they're doubling down on fiddly open systems. But... I guess that's just their thing, so more power to them.

This conference made me wanna start up Dishonored. And I never thought I would be hyped about a Fallout title, but Fallout 4 looks all kinds of amazing. Love the base building and weapon customization.

I'm not buying it unless I manage to snag one of the PipBoy editions.

Yes, I know I sound like a spoiled child, but I wasn't happy with the game and then they showed an actual PipBoy and now that's all I can think of.
