We've seen in previous trailers lots of unique abilities which make the combat varied. I think they purposely chose to keep it simple so the focus would be on enemies and the spectacle. That looks awesome!
Fighting gameplay looks kinda repetitive though, and not sure I want to play a game like that with a big stick.
They said they want to bring it to consoles but who knows at this pointLooks really good! Hopefully it comes to Ps5
Maybe game development is super cheap over there?. It could also be a team of 300 people for all we know.Good lord this looks next gen as fuck.
It's insane that a no name chinese studio is delivering next gen while pretty much every single western and japanese dev is sitting on their ass making mediocre cross gen games. No idea wtf is going on in this industry anymore.
What's crazier is that they have so many different systems in the game. It's no just chinese dark souls. lots and lots of combat variety. Pretty spectacular stuff.
I'm not sure it's about large teams, that bright memory game originally started as a 1 man outfit. It's more than that now but still relatively small. I wonder if it's more because their devs seem to be more like western devs from 15 years ago. Enjoying what they are doing, maybe some competitiveness with other chinese devs (maybe even western devs) to push some boundaries and the largest difference, no publishers pushing to make a game built around extracting as much money for our bank accounts as possible.Maybe game development is super cheap over there?. Its def pushing graphics though. In fact i think it looks just as good as the UE5 demo IMO, or at least not far off it, and i really thought that would be the limit for this gen.
Screams alpha build.Looks nice, but combat feels floaty and movement is kinda stiff. Screams indie.
The thing with Bright Memory though, at least with the old version of the game, the game used a lot of store bought assets. High quality and expensive assets that were touch up a bit, but still bought assets.I'm not sure it's about large teams, that bright memory game originally started as a 1 man outfit. I agree. Though they still have 1.5 years to polish it. Everything else is stunningLooks nice, but combat feels floaty and movement is kinda stiff. Screams indie.
Very true. It's fascinating, would be interesting to read or watch some interviews with some of the teams there doing these things to contrast with western developers. The thing with Bright Memory though, at least with the old version of the game, the game used a lot of store bought assets. With this game it seems like everything pretty much is made aseets. I certainly dont recognize anything from any of the asset stores.
Do you know who Sun Wukong is bro? The stick is literally half the legend. That looks awesome!

Yes it was, but it was Unreal 4. They switched to Unreal 5.First trailer was not real gameplay, confirmed.
Every nextgen console game looks like mediocre shit infront of this game.
China already beating America in other fronts, so it will beat in games too
yeah the hitboxes seemed strange like that hit wasnt suposed to land but the graphics and enemy variety looks goodCombat looked off to me, and i don´t see the appeal. Looks better than the last build, trailer ... but the game leaves me cold.
