I'll keep saying it, as graphics become insanely more demanding, it's no longer feasible for raster graphics to rely on raw power.
Nobody is going to buy a $7,000 graphics card that requires a fucking quasar as a source of energy.
Engineers realize that it's far more important for cards to work smarter, not harder.
Lots of smart pc guys here but when i ask for a pod for a portable pc in shop with baterry pack and what not i get answers to use a cyber truck and run it of that.I guess it just blows my mind how many people care about what others spend their money on
Those who come in and say something like "Its not for me" type of thing I respect
Those who somehow try to shame others by spending the money come off as very Jr High, last kid picked in gym sitting in their moms basement crying type of juveniles
I don't get kid's brains today and yeah even if you're 30 you are a kid to me
My record is five loads in one session. You can have 3 chicks on your bed but without any help of pills enhancers your dick will be limp after the first load.
Life only has tough me two lessons:My record is five loads in one session.
Must be because I play mostly on PC. Prostate of steel as a result of years sitting on a chair playing Half-Life and Age of Empires. You console guys with your couches and your weak prostates know no shit.
$1,100? Damn bro that sucks I imagine a big chunk of that is taxes but over here taxes are only 6% for me so even if included in price it still wouldn't be so high.I bought my 4070 Ti Super about 2 months ago for basically 1.100K euro in Greece, which was more or less the average price in the market for non-used cards.
With my income, giving 3K every two years for a GPU is WAY too much money. I could never have my PC have the most powerful GPU every two years.

YesThat is the dumbest shit I have ever heard. Only a very small minority will buy a new gpu every 2 years, people who can afford to waste money. Everyone else will get one at every 5 years or so and the rest of their pc parts every 6+ years which is pretty much the same length as each console upgrade from base to pro to new gen. The same people who buy a gpu every 2 years would buy a new console if it released with an upgrade every 2 year as well. Logic is hard to find on these forums these days.
This is actually false the more women you have the shorter the refractory period this behavior is found in many great apes including us. Most people don't know shit about biology so who can blame statements like yours. When you strip away all the crutches and any additiinal help and run things raw , your investment is a joke and has no real life value.
You can have 3 chicks on your bed but without any help of pills enhancers your dick will be limp after the first load.
Pc gaming is a scam. 2000 plus dollar cards are a scam.
And to change them every 2 years....i bet you they resel you the same shit in different package for years before you actually see a significant jump .
Nvidia is the new apple when it comes to bullshit you .
@Zathalus I tested my 4090 in that exact area. 21fps. So 29 basically means a ~40% performance uplift. Not terrible, but not exactly that great either.
GeForce RTX 5090 is $1,999 5080 $999 5070 Ti $749 5070 $549 (Availability Starting Jan 30 for RTX 5090 and 5080)
Sure and what about the stutter on PC? Did they fix it? With a highend PC there is no stutter in Wukong for example? Normal UE5 stutter is in almost all UE5 games. On consoles as well. Shader stutter is gone in most new games.www.neogaf.com
DLSS quality? I may buy but wondering if my 4070 can handle it.Game destroys my 4070. I have to turn everything down to console level visuals to get 60fps.
I never bought the game just downloaded the benchmark thingy.

All this tells me is that we've reached the limit of Moore's Law for chips. And without DLSS software, you're never gonna get the results required from just raw power alone if you want to make the best looking games in the market.
The problem is the GPU is $2000.
Down load the benchmark it’s free.DLSS quality? I may buy but wondering if my 4070 can handle it.

Looks like it's a 35% raster uplift across Blackwell which isn't bad at all considering the fact that they're on the same node, 5080 is at 4090 performance if this video's to be believed & base 5070's at 4070 Ti Super perf, but 4090 -> 5090 price/perf ratio ain't looking too hot.
Get ready for fake frames, PC players. The game might say its running at 127 FPS, but it will feel like its running at 24-29 fps....
Classic sour grapes behavior.Nobody cries over fake pixels (DLSS) but fake frames is where the line gets drawn?
Stop the crying
There is no magic, Nvidia always shows DLSS in 4K Performence modeNvidia would need to create some magic tech where a 28FPS games responds like a minimum 60FPS game and then frame gen it.
If they unlock this magical tech then im all in on it.
I am deffo waiting on benchmarks before buying the 5090 though.
Welcome to a new era! The era of the FPS, Fakes per Second. And the most impressive things is that PCMR girls are happy to get it all in the @$$ with the sand.
Show me where the PCMR touch u.Welcome to a new era! The era of the FPS, Fakes per Second. And the most impressive things is that PCMR girls are happy to get it all in the @$$ with the sand.
I am pretty sure you don't want to see that trust me.Show me where the PCMR touch u.

No PCMR will ever touch me. I have a gaming PC too, but i'm smart enough to understand that all this AI / ML technology will just allow developers to release even more unoptimized content, at the same overpriced value.Show me where the PCMR touch u.

Look what it did to ps5 base.No PCMR will ever touch me. I have a gaming PC too, but i'm smart enough to understand that all this AI / ML technology will just allow developers to release even more unoptimized content, at the same overpriced value.
Devs are going to dev, not buying GPUs is not going to make devs decide to make better optimized gamesNo PCMR will ever touch me. Not true. If their games run sh!t even on powerfull hardware (without crappy fake FPS generator and ultra super duper resolution upscaler) peoeple WILL NOT buy them. (well except stupid people). But all these AI / ML tricks are 'masking' that.Devs are going to dev, not buying GPUs is not going to make devs decide to make better optimized games
My point, people can make a difference by not buying unoptimized games, hurt their bottom lineNot true. If their games run sh!t even on powerfull hardware (without crappy fake FPS generator and ultra super duper resolution upscaler) peoeple WILL NOT buy them. (well except stupid people)
How can you tell if a game is not optimized if AI / ML tricks are showing you 200 / 300 fps? Average user is ignorant and think that these are just some kind of filter / optimizer (just like an AA an MLAA etc), while in reality, they are not!My point, people can make a difference by not buying unoptimized games, hurt their bottom line
maybe? but 5090 and 4090 are both tsmc 5nmRaster gain performance from node shrinkage is disappearing
As the third major enhancement of TSMC’s 5nm family, N4P will deliver an 11% performance boost over the original N5 technology and a 6% boost over N4.
Show me where the PCMR touch u.
Yeah no there was a time when we played games at 15fps.Not true. If their games run sh!t even on powerfull hardware (without crappy fake FPS generator and ultra super duper resolution upscaler) peoeple WILL NOT buy them. (well except stupid people). But all these AI / ML tricks are 'masking' that.
imagine spending 2000 on a gpu and not even being able to max out a soulslikeand anyone playing that game maxed out at 4k is fucking retarded...
it's a terribly optimised game
Cost of a high end gaming PC back when Crysis was new: 700-1200 dollars. You know, in the old days a game like WuKong would be legendary for being built to be futureproof and be used as proof that your new gaming PC is truly Elite.
All the talk about "bad optimization" is just blaming the victim. Your hardware is crap.
You know what game this reminds me of? "Crysis".
There was a time when "can it run Crysis in max settings" was a meme. No one complained that the devs made a game that has max settings that was physically beyond the capability of the hardware available. That is not an optimization problem, that is just because the game needed a more powerful hardware.
We are so used to everything being cross-gen that new gamers are now thinking it is strange that their console might struggle with something that was ambitious and cutting edge.
I mean... a higher resolution is literally inefficient in all categories besides clarity. You're sacrificing more power and more performance to get a clearer and sharper image. There's no major effect on the game.Nobody cries over fake pixels (DLSS) but fake frames is where the line gets drawn?
Stop the crying

Gee i wonder why people now are mad about poorly optimized games as opposed to people memeing about it 15+ years ago...
