My dad is fine with me and rarely talks about it but my mum talks about it all the time and it makes me cringe sooo bad sometimes. id feel bad if she knew that though as I understand people need hope.


I respect religion, i understand the concept, I do not shit on people who chose to follow such things and I think anyone who shits on it can go get fucked

But yeah. cold calling in the name of religion is so annoying, keep to yourselves, stop trying to recruit people whilst theyre trying to relax at home

You're not alone in feeling that way. I grew up in a non-religious household, and I still found it hard to say it out loud to other people when I was younger. I feel totally comfortable saying it now though, hopefully one day you can get to that stage too.

I think other than saying the A word, you could just politely say "sorry, I'm not interested". Works for me, I'm just not interested in talking about it with people on the street, no biggie.

Someone I know once told a charity mugger from the Red Cross to fuck off because he mistook them for a member of the God squad (loads of those in Liverpool with microphones). I could never tell if he felt bad or not.

So I just watched that film "Fargo" (been meaning to for ages) and was like, wow that's amazing that it was a true story.

Then I checked the wikipedia page and found out the Coen brothers just made it up
except that someone once disposed of a body in a wood chipper.

Was tempted to go out tonight but decided to have a quiet night in and just play some Ballad of Gay Tony instead. Early wake up tomorrow for free comics and checking out this new store/cafe that's opening. Sunday night I'll be taking part in a SF4 tournament. Might be tempted to pick up that Tomb Raider Collection deal on steam.

How's everyone's Friday night?

Huh you just reminded me I downloaded GTA4 Episodes today, I was going to keep plugging away at my dissertation but guess I'll play that tonight instead. You bastard look what you've done

haha yeah I remember being pretty pissed after reading that. I mean why would you do that? Maybe it lets people get more immersed into the story or something.

They're quoted as saying "it gives you permission to do things [the audience] might otherwise not accept". I'm not sure if I buy that to be honest. I mean, I'll watch all kinds of crazy films and still buy into them and suspend my disbelief.

It definitely had some kind of effect. Maybe I cared more about the characters because I thought they were based on real people (and they were all well written anyway)? Now I feel a bit cheated though. Hmph.
