I love Xbox One as a name. I love the look of the console. Fuck me am I confused as to why MS want to sell me a TiVo box rather than a games console.
I can't really express my proper opinion on GAF as I'll be forever labelled a 'fanboy', but that was a joke. Even the Wii-U was more interesting.

- Forgot all about the MS thing, managed to catch the COD bit.
- More COD exclusive timed DLC is ugh. And I can't get all that excited for another COD game.
- The extra TV/Cable stuff sounds good but it probably wont even be half as good here as it is in the US.
- Torn on the console looks. Looks like 2 different machines stuck together, but it's clean and tidy looking.
- Not being BC was expected but I wonder if they have something planned. Sony has Gaikai which could be pretty big.
- No always on internet is good, as is allowing used games.
- Don't care about Halo TV series.

I confused why they pushing american football are they ignoring the sales in Europe which is known as Sony land. Will the xbox recognize accents like how nintendo struggled with scottish accents, what happens during a storm and signal dies.

The console looks like size of my sky box at moment from pictures.
Sony will fuck up E3 I like them and judging from comments on site's and GAF people are ready to throw money at them but I suspect they will fuck up.

One little difference between Sony and MS was Sony's decision to drop a game reveal and trailer in the middle of Cerny's tech talk. Or, hell, the very fact that the lead on their hardware team was always directing a game says all you need to know.

MS will crush Sony next gen. Sony will serve 'gamers' with the greatest entertainment they've ever seen, and MS will sell a console to everyone that has ever seen value in ESPN. End result: MS sell way, way more consoles.
It'll be a repeat of last gen. To the undeserving victor go the none gaming spoils.

Yeah, I'm under no real illusions that MS are gonna fuck up this gen and have to reinvent themselves like Sony and Nintendo eventually had to. MS will win big with this. Do I think the X1 will do as well as the 360? Not really- although the Wii factor is gone and MS can claim a significant slice of the casual pie this time, thanks to the PS4 clearly going in the opposite direction, they still have tablets, smartphones, F2P, and yes the PS4, which won't be the wreck the PS3 was at launch (hopefully not, anyway). More robust competition for MS to handle.
But they'll come out on top. Luckily, I don't think there's too much glory in that fight any more.
XBOX One looks like a no-buy for me.
It's a massive step forward for Call Of Duty - the series actually looks like a current gen title now, only on next gen!

I don't agree that sports fans will automatically flock to a $400-500 box. I think Sony can still put forward an attractive value proposition in comparison.
Also Kinect sold a shit ton early on but the attach rate was awful and no one makes game for it so that could happen as well.

We don't know much about the PS4 OS so hopefully we'll get some surprises at E3. They have a second chip for uploading/downloading/social shit, maybe they'll show some other uses too.

I think it is more up in the air than that outside the US (where MS will really rain down on Sony). Firstly they need to sort the services for the UK and EU, but more importantly appeal to the wider market through its none gaming features. When there are a plethora of other devices to do those things that it will be very difficult to get consumers to buy another device (and a pricey one at that) to perform those same tasks (especially if they don't hold gaming with much regard). But if MS gain momentum in that area, it could be very self sustaining.
Sony is going for the safer bet early on I feel.
The COD visuals are very unimpressive btw.

Forza 5. Impressive, and I really liked the paintwork on the cars, but I wasn't wowed by it. I have a feeling that's going to happen a lot at the beginning of the next gen.

They should have an app that lets you have virtual sex with someone over Skype. Kinnect picks up your motions, and transfers that to vibrations on a dildo/fleshlight for the person on the other end of the line. Console war won. You could even make POV porn videos especially for it.
