With a lot more coming in soon, I am going to build a new PC but I haven't really been keeping up to date with what's around.
What are the high end graphics cards at the moment?
Are i7's still the best out there?
Any recommendation on cases?

Edit: Just so I don't double post, is there anywhere I can watch the first episodes of Arrow, I saw it advertised on Sky 1 last week and was like I must watch it and then realised it was a carry on and they're like over 10 episodes in. It's not available on Netflix or anything that I've looked on

Doesn't Sky have an on demand thing?
I don't think all episodes are on demand just last 3, it a dumb stupid show but enjoyable

How much are you looking to spend? You might want to wait for Haswell, but it's still a couple of months away yet.
It will be a high end project, so probably between £1000-£1500 - might pick up some new peripherals as well. The plan won't start kicking in till around June/July time anyways, was just trying to catch up on hardware updates really
Hey now, let's not say things we'll later regret. As talented as Damon Albarn is I don't think Blur's output is comparable to Pulp.
On my phone so can't price anything up, but for that you would be looking at something like:
i5 3570K, 16GB RAM, Nvidia 670 / 680 or an AMD 7970 and a good SSD.
Really depends if you've got an parts you can re use and whether it will be just for gaming.

I do have parts I could re-use, I have some old Hard Drives that I'm gonna whack in, and potentially a case already. I am quite shocked that you've suggested an i5, any certain reason behind this or just a price thing?
I have sat around doing pretty much fuck all, all day. I am extremely bored and although I'm not being challenged in this job any more (yay, no job in 9 more working days) I am seriously bored at home, and can't bring myself to play through any of the games I have at the moment. I actually wanted to go out and socialise today, but all plans fell through so it was a bit boring today.

Such a beautiful and clear evening in London. I'm on a train to Victoria going past battersea power station, and the shard and even canary wharf are totally clear. Not a hint of haze.
Overclock the 3570K with a good aftermarket cooler and you won't get anything better for the money. Might as well spend the saved money on other components that will give you greater performance gains for the cost. Especially if you're wanting a new monitor and mouse / keyboard.
Looking to get the Oculus Rift?
I have never overclocked (shocking considering of how many PCs I have built)

So, it's not like I need a new monitor or mouse, I'm just thinking to replace the left monitor to get something that doesn't have a massive scratch down the middle of it (it drives me insane)
The keyboard needs to go, I have had it since I built the machine roughly 4 years ago, the mouse is brand new as of Christmas (Roccat Kone+) and I love it. I was looking at mechanical keyboards, and not quite sure on what to choose - but that's only sub £100?
I'm not gonna lie, I haven't even heard of Oculus Rift until now, and just looking up I'm not entirely sure. I think I would have to try out first.

I used them a few years ago. Expensive but decent hardware. That said, the casing was low quality though I can't recall if I skimped (or had the option to skimp) on that element.
It's not out yet is it? Rotten Tomatoes says it's surprisingly good though.

So what was so terrible about the Walking Dead finale? I mean, apart from the whole show being a disgrace. Spoiler tag it, I'm not bothered about finding out through multiple painstaking hours of terribly written characters.
the whole build up from this season ended up for nothing, pointless andrea death and cheap cop out for the Prison assault. Instead of comic attack where group fights for there lives and some die they just ambush them by luring zombies then run away. Even the villain walks away instead of dying by a loyal followers hand after seeing how bat shit crazy he was

My local indie cinema is claiming that its out this Friday. Hearing so much buzz about it too. And as much as I advocate to Britgaf declaring that going to the cinema alone is perfectly OK so long as it's a.) during the morning/afternoon and b.) not a kids flick, I don't think I can pull off seeing this flick on my own regardless of which part of the day I see it in.

Worth noting that TWD finale was heavily re-shot, also Lennie James (Morgan) did have the finale on his IMDB until recently so he was supposed to show up. Word is they re-shot due to someone dying that the new show runner wants to keep around. The cast were talking about some shock ending that would leave you open mouthed when it fades to black, you can be damn skippy they weren't referring to this one.
