So, I'm currently playing a game and my character has gone to prison.

I would love for Rockstar to make a game similar to Bully (Canis Canem Edit) but based in a prison having to do chores and missions to survive, breakout mission fails, police treating you like crap etc etc... Might be lame, but sounds cool in my head :)

It turned out she's a crazy bitch so she's becoming irrelevant very quickly
Oh right. I didn't realise I was supposed to think her stuff is shit now because she isn't on the front page of TMZ anymore.

I'm just relieved to have someone with his finger on the pulse in here, just so we know what is cool and stuff.

Today is excellent. Summery fun is really putting me in the mood for next Friday.

Gonna miss my boys shorty and Tash though :(

afoni and Jordan are you defs coming?

Dad.. is that.. you?!!

Ninja, calm down.

You know what's great? This AlunaGeorge album. Believing the hype paid off for once.
I just love it when f0rk throws his hypocritical little posts out, it's fun to bat them back at him!

I'm totally loving that AlunaGeorge album, that cover of "This is How We Do It" at the end was a nice surprise. This is one of the best pop records of the year for me, that bassline is so infectious:

AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It

Edit: nice job No Angel. Fly kitchen too!

It's just banter. You make yourself look overly sensitive. It's not how we ever really roll here.

Just give it some back, your current responses are like you want him to be set on fire or something. It's uncomfortable to read.

I told you my new attitude... Fuck it, why not.

Sound as a round pound on the ground.

it just reads as playful banter back and forth to me. ninjas a chill guy, I can't really see him being genuinely annoyed or anything

Really? It was just meant as playful banter back man.

He's a big boy Coldman, I'm sure he took it on the chin.

"Hold on now, I'm choking
Give me a second to collect myself
You must be joking
Otherwise I'm laughing to myself

Why you here again
Hold on a minute, let me check this out
Your invitation's a fake
Must be from a ticket tout"

Cool lyrics on Attracting Flies.

Don't set me on fire please it's hot enough as is
See Coldman, just some lulz. I like f0rk man, I give Kent more grief than f0rk and Kent is top tier member status in my eyes. He's coming to the northern meet next year, he just has confirmed/even acknowledged it yet. Come on Kent, we all want to meet you fella.

I just checked the weather for London next weekend too:

Aww Yeah! said:

I like your avatar, SuperSah. A piglet in a sweater is amusing imagery to me. Don't want your future bacon to get frostbite.

Thanks! It's the Poogie from the Monster Hunter franchise. This avatar was up-res'd and edited, so if you want it, just take it from here. Won't find the same on on Google. :)

What's BritGAF up to tonight? I'm just gonna settle in, play more New Leaf and watch Casualty.

gonna do an adult thing and read an adult book

blood meridian

failing that, probably sit on a chatroom with people and talk the night away

Books? Books!

My book backlog is crazy, it makes my Steam purchases look reasonable. Got a few books on the go at the moment:

- The Ocean at the End of the Lane - Neil Gaiman: Borrowed it from the library on a whim. Just started this a few hours ago, it's my first Gaiman of any form apart from his Doctor Who episodes and the Neverwhere audio play. It's enjoyable so far, very whimsical and he has the narrator's childish voice down pat.

- Ex-Heroes - Peter Clines: Best described as The Avengers vs. The Walking Dead (or if you're into your comics, a less cynical version of the Marvel Universe Versus trilogy). I like the pulpy tone although the heroes seem a bit X plus Y i.e Batman plus Psylocke, Wolverine plus Harry Dresden, etc.

- Marvel Comics The Untold Story - Sean Howe - This is absolutely brilliant for anyone that loves comics or good non-fiction. I'm just up to the late seventies when it all started to come crashing down (before the buyout and the movie business obviously) and it's fascinating.

- Salt, Sugar, Fat: How the Food Industry Giants Hooked Us - Michael Moss - Just finished the section on sugar. As a recovering fattie, this is bloody terrifying stuff. In the future, I get the feeling we'll talk of sugar the same way we do tobacco.

Sorry if this post bored you, I never know what to contribute during all the music talk, which is great and interesting and everything, I'm just not musically inclined.

not boring at all, I think I'll give a couple of these a go!

when I get home I'll do a book post too - nice to have a fresh thing to nerd about in here!

I'm currently reading Catching Fire. I really enjoyed Hunger Games.

Also reading How to Kill a Mockingbird and scanning my Law AS books every now and then.

Literature contributions are great, Tetrax. I have a similarly heavy backlog I need to get through currently piled up on the side of my bed.

-Still need to finish American Gods, got halfway through before putting it down. Probably just have to re-read the whole thing at this point.

-Halfway through A Wizard of Earthsea, one of my classic favourites I re-read every few years along with The Hatchet and others. Also one of my favourite descriptions of a magical system, way more interesting and less heavy handed than Tolkein or Rowling.

-Seventh Scroll by Wilbur Smith. River God was the best historical fiction book I have ever read so I'm looking forward to the next in the series to learn more of Taita's story.

- Got a 'Creative Writing - For Dummies' book I want to start before this fall, maybe participate in some writingGAF eventually. I know Jedeye is our resdient brilliant BritGAF scribe.

- Did recently read an unauthorised Biography of Thom Yorke's life, from his early beginnings to Radiohead's OK Computer. Was interesting to read about things ranging from his personality and band mates as well as quirky stuff about his dance style and lazy eye.

I thought the hunger games books were supposed to be really shit and girly but I really enjoyed them too actually. there's a bit too much "ooh which boy do I loooooove?" for my tastes but other than that its a really enjoyable read

Yeah, it's a little more "lovey-dovey" than I'd of hoped with Peter and that other bloke, but the action and mystery does entertain me. It kinda feels as if quality slumps in the second book though.
