Nice! Good luck with it! I'm going to start applying to some work placements for my placement year soon. My second year hasn't started yet but it's good to apply early.

I'm not sure many places will take 2014 application until Julyish. But doing a placement is definitely worth it, the experience is great for both your CV and just your own skills.

dang. did you just graduate or are you experienced?

I'm graduating this year.

Do some casual workplace flirting, man. You're the best hope for BritGAF mum's transformation into BritGAF grandma.

Plus he's working around beds all day how could something not happen.

In the job department, I've got myself a little gig sorted now. It's not paid work, but it's an opportunity I couldn't really turn down due to the value it poses for me personally.

keeping it on da down low tho cos its not sorted completely yet

Unless you have done this before, you probably are underestimating how much of a job that is

A friend actually mentioned this...I had a dream about it and it was just your average porn dream except I turned a woman down because I was A: Scared of losing my job and B:Still had a tonne of work left

Tragic.

The past week has taught me not to give a fuck about 'leagues' and just go for people you think are attractive.

Charisma shines over all else.
That doesnt stop me, I just have no desire to do anything relationship wise atm, im totally off the grid yo'

Whilst i try to become less fat
There's a courage wolf meme for this.

I have done this before, and while it was in a different environment (office janitor), 5 rooms really isn't a big deal. But hey, it's your first big boy job in a while and 1st days are always exhausting so I'll cut you some slack. Just sounded a bit amusing in context.

Good look bruv

Should be fine...just hope I don't get someone that hates Americans.

Cambridge-GAF represent! I see from your avatar that you're probably a fan of fine beers? You should check out The Elm Tree pub in Cambridge which has a selection of over 50 different Belgian beers available.

Great! Will definitively check it out! Love beer...mmmmm. If you know any good restaurants or must dos please let me know. Will probably just make a day trip out of it.

I think she's okay, I know many russian girls and she doesnt give off that vibe

Yeah, I bet you would seeing as there are usually more Russian girls than English ones when you walk through a major city.

Good luck with the job Tash, should be fine once you get the routine down. Going through the same sort of thing here as my boy's just landed his first job, starting 6th May. Yay, at long last that's all three of them in work!

Taking abit of time off doorwork for a bit. Picking up more hours on the day job. Need my social life back.

Celebrating by... Well, sitting in my room eating marshmallows watching The Masters.

Are you looking forward to the day that you can boot the last of them out of the door?

Man, work's really, really hard.

Been mainly publishing medical journal news stories/drilling reports from FTSEs.

45 hour weeks are tough mang. Especially after not really ever doing anything like an 8-5. It's a huge culture shock.

I'm sure you'd be a hot grandma. If that makes it any better...?

Al Casbah is good if you like meat and fire in proximity and combination.

It was the Starsalior song Way To Fall over end credits that gave me most feels. How many you got left MGS4 and Peace Walker ?

The song choice at the end had me scratching my head a bit tbh. It was nice but it didn't really fit. I guess a five minute respite from all the JAPAN is nice though :p I thought the Boss was one of the more interesting characters in the series so far. There was something serious about her, she wasn't the usual cartoonish MGS character she was just this grounded, scary force of nature. The fight with her was brutal too, it took me at least 4 goes and then I only won because I got lucky with some sniper noscopes and managed to beat her final, fatal CQC attack on me.

Definitely cooking up a proper LTTP for the series when I'm done. There's a few about on GAF but they're fairly lightweight, I feel like I have a lot to say about these games.

I'm a couple hours into MGS4 right now and tbh it feels much improved other than the bastard dickhead checkpoints being so far apart. The combat is actually fun, it looks fantastic and it's chock fulla mgs1 fanservice. Plus stupid sexy snake.

Sure I am!!

Look, I love 'em to bits and all that and despite all my early worries about being a father they seem to have turned out OK - all three of them are good company, nice, compassionate, fun-loving, smart, laid-back and gain respect from their peers without even having to try too hard. They are good kids, sociable and friendly and would be a credit to any parent.

But my god, the time they take up! I married Mrs P because I like Mrs P, but we've had in the last 26 years - what - 4 days without at least one of the kids around? And kids, however nice they are, are inhibiting. I'm kind of looking forward to picking up again on the child-free bit of marriage that we had for all of 10 months way back when.

Why haven't you gone on holiday on your own? Or do my parents just not love me

I'd say that is a life to be fully proud of so far Phisheep. My mum has both me and my sister (her being older) and I left my old house at 19 when they were selling it to move away to Egypt and enjoy themselves since I was old enough to look after myself and be independent, but she bought me up great (just like the sound of your kids) and I know it takes away a lot of your life for them to grow since a kid and then become their own person. Just think that you've got a great legacy to be proud off and all that sweet time you now get to enjoy!

My sister moved abroad when she was 19 and now I'm away from home for university. My Dad doesn't seem to show much care towards the fact that his two kids are independent enough to not really need him. My sister's coming back for 2 weeks in July though, so that's nice. Me and her never got on before she moved away. When she came back a couple of years ago for a visit, we got on like we'd never had a fight before. It was really weird.

My family is really unconventional and I think that was a bit damaging to me. I'm just lucky I didn't have two dads, because that would have really fucked me up haha.

That was a joke.

To be honest, I think that's pretty normal. Me and my sister are fairly similar, I'd end up basically screaming at her quite a lot, but now that we don't see each other that much any more when we do we get on really well. Though the tension can rise if there's too much interaction, but it's never like it was. It might just be that we're more mature now, but I think that it's the not being around each other pretty much all the time. Or a combination of the two. This isn't to say that we never got along, we did quite a lot, but there were still the fits of rage pretty often.

I dunno.

What I'm saying is that I think it's weird to call the community/clique mother figure hot.

I think you just need to separate the objective (i.e. aesthetically pleasing) from the subjective (i.e. would want to sleep with). Or something.

My sister used to draw blood, frequently.

Memories~

I'm guessing you haven't met her then?

Nope. Probably will at the next meet though, so let's hope this conversation never gets brought up again.

Getting Monster hunter is gonna skin me something awful. It'd be cool if I wasn't being taxed £220, but I guess that's how it's gonna go.
