Why is it that when someone posts something on GAF that other people don't want to see they have to keep quoting it and asking 'why would you post this?' and complain that it adds nothing to the thread?
If you don't want to see it stop quoting that shit and bringing it up, your complaints don't add anything either.

Some of the images are genuinely unsettling. The power of social media has hit pretty hard tonight with the amount of stuff that's appearing online about it.

are there any apps or whatever i can do to make windows 8 more like windows 7. like getting back start button, disabling gesture bullshit and booting into desktop ??

bitch I'm taking calls.
No one knows yet, authorities are just trying to contain and clean up the situation to make it safe. Anyone claiming to know who, how or why this early in the game is full of it.

Lift broke, so I chat up this Scouse bird who lives on the fourth floor while we walked up the stairs.

It was kinda cool.

I'll probably be alone forever, etc.

I did that thing on the BT website where they upgrade your Infinity upload and download speeds if you renew your contract. They saids I'd get 33down/5up but still getting the same speeds as usual. I really don't want to call them.

Ever since I made a LinkedIn last week, I've been taking everything really seriously.

It's the kick up the arse I've always needed.

What's LinkedIn etiquette for accepting people? I get requests from random 'entrepreneurs' with 500+ connections, not sure if it's considered good networking to accept or if I should limit my connections to people I actually know. I've stuck with the latter so far.

I'm pretty sure higher quality connections is more desirable. People will judge you by who you wish to be associated with; having knowledgeable, important contacts will make you more valuable.

Greetings BritGAF, perhaps this is common knowledge in Britain, and in the BBC syndication area, but is it normal that the BBC videos online can be turned up to 11? lol

Morning BritGAF, got a tough decision to make today. Do I report my neighbour for benefit fraud and potentially seriously fuck his life up or do I hope that the DWP find out by other means.

What's not making it easier is that he is genuinely a nice guy, he cuts my grass and he's never been any trouble but I know that he's getting a certain benefit allowance when he shouldn't be.

Speaking of which, the Carry On series...were any of them actually good? Those films gave off a 70s soft porno vibe.

If you're 12 they're hilarious, and there's an opportunity to see a breast if you're lucky. Otherwise they're mostly farcical catchphrase vehicles, I seem to remember some of the monochrome ones were quite entertaining but that was a while ago.

I dunno man, live your own life. If he was a dickhead then you might be morally justified, but if you get on well then let him be. He'll get caught eventually if he's scamming them, and if he doesn't then fair play to him.

It's difficult. I mean part of me says report him, but on the other hand, I dunno, it just doesn't seem to serve much purpose. I would personally hope the DWP find out by other means. From a good citizen perspective, thats a pretty shit move to take, but like, he hasn't done anything to you, he sounds like a nice guy...it's like having to take your favourite dog out back and shoot it or sometihng. If he gets caught he gets caught I guess, you reporting him does nothing for you, makes an incredibly minute difference to the bottom line of the government, and potentially fucks his life up.

That's kind of what I'm thinking, the trouble is he's not been shy about telling me what he's doing.

In London now waiting for my interview in the coming hour,I am both excited and confident for this. I hope all my preparation pays off!

You have summed it up perfectly.

Also I don't get LinkedIn. I really have no incentive to visit the site so my profile just sits there. And my habit of only accepting those I know means I've only got connections to old uni friends.

If he's not shy about it, he'll get caught. That would be the best outcome here to be honest. Him just getting caught of his own accord. As long as you're not covering for him or anything (don't ask, very little sleep atm, but yeah covering for him would be daft and stupid) you're fine.

I think that's because he image quoted some pretty gory pictures of the bombing in the boston thread.

I always thought my Dad was doing some dodgy shit with the benefits system for a while. Turns out he was just really fucking good at finding loopholes to keep it legal. I guess he did have a lot of time on his hands.

I wouldn't report it if I were you though.

Thanks guys, I'll let him get caught of his own accord. I'll sleep easier at night knowing that I'm not responsible.

In an odd way, I think at this stage I personally WOULD report him, but I'm literally going back and forth in my head. lol

I guess part of me also thinks that, well, law is law. Can be tough on the informant I guess, and it doesn't gain anyone anything here really, but at the same time, its...fuck, its the letter of the law I guess. I dunno, I would probably dwell on this for a while, ask a few opinions from close mates etc.

Anyway, as long as you're happy with you're decision.

Plus you get your grass cut a couple more times at the very least.

EDIT: Awww yiss, good luck with the interview ZombieFred! If things start to falter, give them some of the numbers you got from the other night!
