Yeah, Ferris Bueller is a great film.
As much as I love Community's first 3 seasons, it's such a bummer how quickly they get away from the Hughesian nature of the show after the first season. It really did set it apart from the crowd more than Doctor Who parodies and Alison Brie's chest ever could.
I constantly fear his wrath.

Was going through - possibly - the most shittiest period of my life and Kentpaul was posting about how great Community was back during the UK/ROI era and I decided to watch the pilot that night. The second this started playing around the end of the pilot I felt so much better. One of the main reasons I fell head over heels with Community and going through S4 bummed me out because there were no "feel-good" John Hughes-esque moments. Just weak gag followed by reference to previous episode and/or Inspector Spacetime.

You're right - there's something about seasons 1 and 2 that were really...wholesome? I feel the same way about Happy Endings, but that's been cancelled after season 3

Yeah, wasn't a great film.
It fine until after the first Bane fight then just collapses it has no idea what it wants to do. The last 40 minutes is terrible climax after build up with pointless reveal which was pretty fucking obvious and lame end to Bane
The only thing I disagree with you about here is that it's fine up until the first Bane fight.
I thought it was slow and uninspired from the off.

That, said, I've always had a weird love/hate relationship with that song. I remember watching Breakfast Club, it was actually in class I think first year of high school. So I was still incredibly anxious and didn't like the world much, then hearing that I was like "fuuuck, but why should I care if people do!" That song made me think a lot about growing up and the impact we have on the world.
You grow up and yada yada but that song still takes me back to that time. So fuck that song, but it's good.

lmao, this is always on Film Four. Caught it twice. First time while blindly flicking channels while my sister was reading a magazine in the same room. "Oh look! Japanese flick! Wait, why is she wearing a catholic schoolgirl outfit? wait...wtf?!" it's a bloody (intended) long film too.
Really like the film and its soundtrack.

I stopped drinking tea and coffee everyday last summer when I was dieting, felt so much better for it that I never started again. Pretty much just limit it to weekends now, and stick to water in the week.
And yeah, I think maybe I am.
