Call me crazy, but I think it is time for us as a society to fucking move on from WWII and just stop complaining about these sort of crap because it offends NO ONE as most people who lived during that era are either dead or are 80/90/100Y olds who don't give a shit anymore.

Nope, there are pretty important lessons to learn from the historical period and the dynamics around the events (one aspect being the many very dangerous doctrines from the Marxists in Russia to the Nazis, Maoists & the Japanese on the other side of the planet)... How they all feed one another, and how Marxists and Nazis both wanted total control of the world, both pushed for identirian views of society and human relationships.

So sure, don't worship the Nazis*, punch them even... But don't act like the hammer and sickle was an acceptable alternative to the hammer and sickle of the Marxists, they're both disgusting ways to see the world and their leaders don't deserve any kind of sympathy.

*Actual Nazis, not everyone to the left of Marx.

Yeah, but when I say "we should move on" I mean moving on from whatever thing the words "blood and honor" meant back in 1940 because we are not in the 40s anymore and today those words don't carry at all the same meaning they did back then. That sort of stuff.

Blood and Honor is the name of one of the biggest international neonazi groups now. Canada recently put them on the terrorist list. Its not the household name like Bloods or Crips but still if you have some basic knowledge about gangs you probably heard that name (and slogan).
