People are trying to make it a discussion about race/racism, when it isn't. It's just about two crazy guys on a bus getting into a fight. situations like these happen all the time, it doesn't matter the race. The black guy acted like a dumbass and got beat the shit out of. If you really want to use this guy of all people to represent your race, then I honestly don't know what to tell you.

The only racist on the bus - based on the video - is the girl filming. Everything else is too ambiguous to call as we don't have the dialogue that took place before hand. Frankly, it was probably a misunderstanding on both of their parts.

The video does bring an enormous smile to my face, though. At the risk of alienating myself from "young Turks" girl, dude is a hero.

That interview with EBG is hilarious and sad at the same time. The part where he's describing himself as Ali, saying that he knocked the guy out for 22 minutes, etc, had me cracking up. But when he starts crying and talks about coming back from Vietnam and being crazy I just feel sorry for him. Vietnam fucked up alot of people.

The most credible person in this whole situation has to be the girl that recorded everything, unless someone can somehow get hold of that girl who was wearing the headphones. EBG clearly has some serious PTS issues, and you know the guy that got beat up would be pulling shit out of his ass if he got interviewed as well.

No, the girl that recorded it is not the most credible. If you watch her interview she says a few things that aren't true (that don't mesh with her own video she took) plus she fucking stole the man's bag!

She also has a racist friend and doesn't even apologize for her racist remarks or even mentions them as far as I know.

Just by watching the original movie I had already come to the conclusion by how and what things were said that the old guy was talking to someone else (or even just talking to himself - he does seem a bit off after all...) and the black guy jumped in on a conversation already in progress.

I would even venture to guess that he jumped in on the shining shoes part to make fun of a person who wants their shoes shined. (And this does not necessarily mean going to get your shoes shined but maybe even shining them yourself)

You're entitled to your opinion on the matter but please be consistent. Why should the camerawoman apologize for the remarks of a 3rd party yet you don't hold EBM accountable for the racist remark(s) that he himself said? I mean calling dude a "cotton picking motherfucker" is a tad racist, no? Why the double standard?

when I was in the states on the NYC subway there was this crazy old vet on the train with a walking stick with a hooked end, he kept rambling and swinging his stick and then he hooked the stick on the overhead pole and lent forward on his stick, hanging from the roof of the train. very awkward train ride. Vietnam fucked a lot of people up.

I feel kind of sorry for EBG. Dude is obviously fucked up for a variety of reasons. That being said, if I saw him on the bus I'd sit somewhere else. EBG is nuts and the young guy is a moron. Anyone who rides public transportation in a major US city has probably seen similar altercations at some point, the only surprise is that the old dude whooped the shit out of the young guy. The moral of the story is mind your own business when you ride the bus and don't start fights with people wearing t-shirts that say "I am a mother fucker."

Epic Bear Guy is straight-up crazy. His account doesn't jive with what went down on the video.

Anyways, hard to say that there's a "right" here. The 50-year-old guy's an idiot for continuing the incident and instigating the physical violence against a clearly insane and belligerent old man. EBG clearly has problems and apparently is sort of infamous in the Oakland area.

I'm just amused that he actually used the term "chinaman." :lol

Going by the youtube comments EBG represents disenfranchised whites desires to fight back against the minorities, they have to put up with. He's an innocent white guy who had defend himself against an uppity black guy. He's their great white hope.
