Am I crazy for still wanting to buy the PC version tomorrow? I like what I'm hearing about the MP (larges maps, more focus on gunplay over randomness).
Also it's funny hearing that PC mp is dead when it's still in the top ten on steam stats.
I dont understand how anyone can complain about "getting shot in the back" in the first few weeks of a game's launch.
NO ONE KNOWS WHERE THEY ARE GOING!
Of course everyone is running around lost, they dont know the maps. So of course you are going to die a lot, you may be standing right in the middle of the map and not even know it.
I like to camp as the day is long, but I'm dying a lot because I'm moving around too much because I dont know what trends to expect for each map.
Give the game some time and let people learn the maps, figure out paths and vantage points.
This is how I feel internally as well... "Am I camping in the middle of a mutual spawn area?" "Am I even running towards the action?"
Frustrating...
Also, I am liking some of the aspects of this, except for using points to unlock attachments on the guns... I may not like a gun right out the gate, and I have to choose to invest in the gun to see if I really like it or not with attachments. Kind of upsetting.

Couldn't be less true. Copious amounts of lag online + very little health. "Gunplay" has nothing to do with anything here. You either get the drop on someone or you dont (and you die, sometimes right after you spawn).more focus on gunplay over randomness
For people complaining about spending points to unlock something with the potential to not like it, why aren't y'all going into local squad mode and trying them all out first? Everything is unlocked there from what I've seen
I literally just bought Blops2 for PC since I already have the X360 version but not the console right now.
And immediately I'm having an immensely better time than I did with Ghosts.
Ok gents, just bought a PS3 copy last night. Really didn't like Black Ops II campaign and just barely liked the multiplayer compared to MW3 which I had a lot of fun with. Is Ghosts a disappointment or will I actually enjoy it?
You have a copy? Go play it then!
Seriously though I'd just dig on in and see what you like and dislike before someone else tells you what is bad and what isn't.
Anybody using Sub machine guns? If so how are they working? I have been sticking with the AR because the maps are so large.

These maps have too much shit going on and the spawn system is dreadful. I look at someone and I'm done. Activision has run the franchise to the ground. We've been getting nothing but subpar quality since MW2.
See you next year then? ;p
I just got it, so I'm going to keep playing it until I'm sick to my stomach.
Damn, that ending. My favorite COD campaign since MW.
I think you have a good chance of liking it. It's comparable to MW3 and fairly different from BLOPS2 (I'm the opposite, hated MW3, really liked BLOPS2, and I hate ghost with a burning fiery passion of everlasting hatred (and great contempt)).Really didn't like Black Ops II campaign and just barely liked the multiplayer compared to MW3 which I had a lot of fun with. I just want to know:
story spoiler:
does the dog die?
This game is fucking unplayable, I'm reinstalling Black Ops II.
I like it more than BOII. The BOII maps were a letdown for me. Felt it was too small and not enough diverse terrain.Ok gents, just bought a PS3 copy last night. Ghosts maps are some of the best I've played, IMO. That's because I like maps with crazy terrain and design. I prefer larger maps than smaller ones. More skill involved and and more tension rather than the smaller maps where it's designed to just rack up kills. It's not Halo where skill is required.
I think Nuketown is the worst MP map. Horrible. No skill involved.
Skill is more than just point and shoot. Every game requires skill to be good at, if every one is able to get a 5:1 KDR or more easily in the game then you have to wonder how they'd get there if everyone could get it because if someone has to compensate for all those kills by their deaths.Let's not get all crazy and start talking about skill in a modern COD game.
Why, with such large maps and so few players on them, must I be spawned at the end of another player's barrel? There are probably 20 other places I could spawn where I'd have to run for 10 seconds just to find someone, and I pop up with my back to an enemy. It's baffling.
Do dogs really have more HP than players?
What guns are you guys enjoying? I'm using Honey Badger (safe bet) and started messing with the MSBS.
Want to jump in to other weapon types but spending coins on a weapon you don't know about sucks. I pick up some great ones but never remember what they are.
The maps are larger so you better get the drop on someone with these. ARs seem to be the way to go.
Give the MSBS w/full auto mod a shot. It's been working for me and I'm terrible.
