Turns out that even though the Prestige Shop is available if you have prestige tokens, you can't use tokens to unlock gear until after you have prestiged once in MW3. All that is available right now is Extra Custom Class, Double XP, Double Weapon XP and Regular Package (titles and emblems).

Has anyone managed to get a cheap Steam key yet? Site?

It seems to be a big fucking mystery as to what language the game is in and when they're getting emailed out on a few of the bigger key sites.

I would highly advise not to buy the COD series from those russian sites...Steam has removed COD:BO from peoples Steam library

Generally Release Date Delivery stuff doesn't switch to "Shipped" status till early in the evening of the day before release. I wouldn't worry about it as I've never had a problem with Amazon getting me my game on time.

It's been up and down all day. I managed to get my email verified at least for that 2 hour double xp stuff.

I am just hoping that the Mountain Dew Double XP stuff isn't tied to Elite, gonna be pissed if I can't get my double XP at midnight.

Yeah I've heard the same about MW2 keys. If you're going to buy from one of those semi-shady CD key websites, go for Skyrim, Arkham City or ACR. Those almost certainly won't be revoked by the publishers.

Nothing weird about this at all, and I've ordered probably 20 games with release date delivery from Amazon. I usually don't get a shipping email til late at night, and it always shows up the next day.

First CoD that I won't be following suite by doing SP on veteran all the way through in one sitting. Friend wants to do spec ops together, and only has one day allotted because he's super busy, so I'm forgoing that SP veteran itch to bust through spec ops with him, then it's an all nighter of MP till the sun rises. :D

Did anyone not receive their activation email ? I checked my junk mail, main mail, refreshed for messages, and searched through for messages about activision and CoD, but no trace of it.

I'm wondering if it takes a while or ?

BTW do we know if they've included matchmaking for Spec Ops this time around? I never got 1000/1000 on MW2 because there wasn't :/

Thanks for answering, is that the best choice? And when? As soon as I get the game or after doing a prestige, is there any differences?

Not sure, but you always have GAF. I get a lot of things accomplished during release weeks of games thanks to being able to play with cool people on here. :)

As for CoD Elite site I'm running into a lot of issues aside from the one I mentioned. I link my facebook account as well figuring why the hell not, but it still keeps saying I need to link it for another 20% to be at the 100% for the bar on the left. Refreshing doesn't change it, and I allowed it access to my Fbook.

Plus, I don't have black ops. I got rid of it about a month after release, so is Elite's site completely useless to me until I have MW3 tomorrow ?
