Aw, poor Stevie didn't get to announce the TPP corporate welfare deal yesterday
He just looks more incompetent now :lol Also, no election call yet... Personally, I'm thinking that it was a trial balloon and that the PMO has backed off on their plans after noticing the backlash.
All indicators show him calling the election tomorrow. I think it was the CBC that originally reported that Harper would drop the writ on Sunday.

Elections are almost always called on Sundays. If it's not happening tomorrow, it would be pretty shocking, since they announced over $1B in funding yesterday, and a lot of those announcements were pushed up from later dates (because they can't make new funding announcements during an election period). They'll probably send out the press release to journalists tomorrow morning, inviting them to Rideau Hall.
RE: the debates...as Paul Wells pointed out, Mulcair is only skipping debates because his party is leading in most polls, and he wants to avoid risk. I personally think it's pretty cowardly on his part -- and, moreover, I think it further highlights that he and Harper aren't all that different as leaders or people -- but it's not the craziest move on his part. That said, the broadcast consortium have said they're having the debates no matter what..if it ends up being Trudeau and May (and Duceppe in the French debates) beating up on Harper for a few hours, I'm not going to complain.

Eh, I do not see it that way.
I mean, Harper not going to some debates is a crafty tactic as Trudeau and Mulcair will then have to tear into one another or focus fire on CPC, either or. And Harper could use either option in marketing (capitalizing on whatever blunders any of them made during said debate or just labelling NPD/Liberals are the same).
So Mulcair saw that the only winning move would be not to play. And I feel he is right in that regard.

I speak from a position of frightening authority on this. It's why I've been abused into silence, and when I tried to speak to a local Military Police officer on the phone, he was in tears and gave me the number to a human rights line. He was one of the good ones and it upset him to realize the high level corruption he worked and stood for. That is why Justin Trudeau and Stephen Harper both want to approve it- to sweep the problem under the rug from both sides.

It is why I am in the process of defecting from my country as soon as it is viable. I was abused and tortured into silence and had people that the government would consider criminals be ten times better people and less of pedo/ebophiles than exist within their own highest echelons. They purposefully abuse, discredit, bully or force anyone who stands their ground and fights this legalized system of corruption into sexual slavery/escortion/prostitution anyone who won't go along with these things or turn the other way. The exact type of people who are immune to corruption. I don't find this cute at all. A sad day for our country when the Hell's Angels and other "criminal groups" would do a better job or running our country then our own RCMP, OPP, DND, House of Commons, etc, etc. And the fact that this legalization is being pushed through under the Catholic church dollar/system that perpetuates these things is all the more an example of how Canada has become nothing but a PR prop show smokescreen/joke in terms of it's governance. Homeland security? What is that? So called "criminals/bad people" would do a 1000x better job at running our country.

For reasons of personal safety, preventing identity theft, and ensuring users don't do things they regret, we tend to delete posts that contain large amounts of personal information and may have been posted unknowingly or inadvertently. About a dozen moderators from different countries reviewed the posts in this thread over a two day period and no one can understand what is going on. As a result, we deleted a series of Iph's posts in this thread in order to protect her.
For reasons of transparency, we felt it appropriate to make it clear what was deleted: Iph appears to be alleging some sort of child sex slavery ring involving Canadian police, military, health officials, and politicians, but it is difficult to tell since she is speaking in cryptic riddles and largely just posting her own personal information over and over. The contents of the posts include various screen captures of her Facebook account with comments to the effect of the story we just described, a picture of what looks like bandaged fingers or arms, and a series of photos of her driver's licenses, health cards, passports, and past passport stamps including her name and address. She has made other posts to this effect throughout GAF over the last month or so. The linked Facebook account has other comments posted to the same effect. We left the first post she posted, because it had no personally identifying information. This is not us attempting to silence anyone, just avoid a user from harming herself and avoid potential spam issues or libel issues.

Please, take care of yourself. Without passing judgment on whether or not the things you are saying are true or not, please get help. Whether that's healthcare, assistance with your story, or whatever else you might need. Again, without passing judgment, the posts do not seem to tell a story that anyone else can make sense of--they seem disjointed, hard to understand, and in metaphor.
We don't and we can't allow people to post potentially libelous stuff here. If anyone is going to post allegations that have potential legal or libel ramifications, please be clear, literal, and factual. Don't speak in metaphor or post clues. Avoid libel. And don't post large quantities of personal information that can get yourself in trouble with identity theft or other risks. The safest way to share a story like this contact medical or legal authorities, not post it on a gaming forum.
Needless to say if this is some kind of Metal Gear Solid-related story or art performance, that would be grounds for an immediate permanent ban. This is way past a joke. These kinds of things can cause real trouble and real danger for real people.

Hey if anybody's on BELL Internet, you may be able to get unlimited for cheap. My friend went over his cap for a couple months, spoke to Bell to see what they could work out, and he ended up getting unlimited for $10 extra per month. They might be getting desperate.
