I was going to get this, but I only have 1.5 GBs or RAM.
How well will a PC with a 970GTX, i5 2500K (OC to 4.5 GHZ), and 8GB of RAM be able to run games?
Pretty darn well. The games play-ability is primarily bottle-necked by the CPU so at 4.5, it'll be quite fine (overall).
60fps in 720p? 1080p? For say Xenoblade X.
I'd be incredibly surprised if 1080p wasn't very playable (if not perfect).60fps in 720p? 1080p? For say Xenoblade X.
I keep reading about this stuff on how "creating emulators" is not really illegal and etc, but really, when someone or a group of people are actually getting paid, directly reporting to their backers and working specifically on the playable status of a very specific, newly released and critically praised game like BotW, I don't know if this "emulators are not evil" concept can't be legally questioned when there's a clear intention of bypassing the purchase of Nintendo's own hardware (Wii U) that is, in fact, still being sold in a lot of places, and specially when their new hardware's flagship game is exactly the same one being worked on.
Not saying that I'm against CEMU, I'm actually a backer, but CEMU's team is clearly prioritizing Zelda compatibility to attract more Patreon backers, not because they're simply good people. And that's basically making money off a Nintendo IP that is more relevant than ever, selling like hotcakes and driving a new system forward.
Does anyone know how to take screenshots of the native frame buffer? I hooked it up to steam to use the steam screenshot feature and that just takes screenshots at whatever resolution the window is set to.

you will be doing 4K without issuesXenoblade is locked to 30fps though.

"Mainstream" gaming media getting wind of this is going to make things very awkward for Nintendo.
Maybe one day Nintendo will actually upgrade the power of their hardware so it can't be so easily emulated. In GameCube units, Ninty has been stuck around 4 GC's for over a decade now. The GTX 1080 Ti is 1,350 GC's by comparisn.
Yes, the GC is now the official computing performance measurement unit. Teraflops is obsolete.
edit: If you want to convert FLOPS to GC's, 1 GC = 9.4 Gigaflops or 0.0094 Teraflops
Because when the patreon funds dry up, which will probably happen not too long from now, it being closed-source means that it will not be maintained anymore. So it always comes do this argument eventually, doesn't it? How would a well maintained closed source distribution not help with game preservation?

Meaning that once a new version of Windows comes out which breaks compatibility with Win10, the only way to use the emulator on a modern system will be through an emulator. Not good. Eventually, it will be completely useless, and someone will have to start over from scratch on an open source emu.

The only assumption I see is that Windows will eventually lose backwards compatibility. Which they've done multiple times, and is pretty much unavoidable. This is so many assumptions![]()
I wonder if they could just sell it to Nintendo for crazy money. Plot twist!

Is an i7 3770k @3.4ghz enough? I just realized my machine might be too old for this.
I have no issues with an oc-ed 3570k.
Btw OC your proc, if you're getting a K no point in paying extra if you don't OC imo.
Companies are not actually people with feelings. They are entities controlled, in the end, by interests to investors and focussing on hitting economic targets and, therefore, making profit.Did Dolphin make it awkward for them?
Not to mention that the expensive, powerful PC solution will need to wait for a mature emulator and even then you get a buggy experience if there's not enough accuracy, while the soft-modded console can play everything with no bugs (with rare exceptions of early softmodes breaking some games). If people wanted to pirate stuff, they'd just do it on the actual console, not on a emulator that requires an often high-end PC that could easily cost many times the price of a X-year-old console.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. Finished it completly on Cemu with barely any hiccups (outside of one door glitch which resolved itself)I became a Patreon subscriber to support the work and try the latest on friday. For people already using CEMU, what's a good single player WiiU game that runs well on the emulator?

The Breath of the Wild bump continues. The Cemu Patreon has now hit $8000 for the first time. How high will it go?
