People think of fundamentalism as being religious but in reality it is about being so attached to a belief that you ignore all facts and reason. The extreme left are just as fundamentalist as religoous extremists.

When you look at the world this way murder becomes justified because to them it is about good vs evil or oppressed vs oppressor. The ends justify the means in their eyes. That is why they can't even be friends with somebody who does see the world the way they do.

Truth be told I would rather deal with a criminal than them because most criminals can at least reasoned with. They cheat out of self interest which is wrong but wokies act out of some moral duty to the social justice cause and the worst atrocities are by people who claim to have the moral upper hand.

I remember the abortion clinic bombings and killings. Fundamentalism is a rot on humanity.

I hope they have that bulletproof glass on stage.

An armed man who claimed to be connected to law enforcement was detained Friday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the Secret Service told Fox News Digital.

[...]

"This guy is a former deputy sheriff out of Idaho. He came and identified himself with expired credentials. They are going through his background and trying to figure out what he was up to there," a federal source familiar with the investigation told Fox News.

This is precisely why I've always argued against an atheist society. Without religion people find far dumber causes to dedicate their lives to and radicalise themselves.

Every religion has some barriers and lines that you must not cross, political and ideological extremists simply do not.

You don't have to believe in any made up boogeyman to be a decent human.
There are tons of shitty people being shitty for religion and for not. Most often they look for reasons to justify their ill actions, religious or not.

I personally think that this is linked to intelligence. If you have average (or more) IQ then you can totally be a great person without believing in any made up bullshit.

But like G. Carlin said, half of people are on the dumb side - they need organised religion to function in society properly (moral code etc.). I think that's one of the reasons why organised religion was invented (control).

Many leftists treat all this woke shit as their religion, they act like religious fundamentalists (you can't change their opinions with facts).

Personally I've never met a great person that is not religious. I've met good people that are not religious but not great.

It's almost like humans need that extra spiritual push to completely bypass their selfishness which is one of our strongest primal instincts.

But from what religion? Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism? Or it doesn't matter?

I met some great non religious people and some great religious people as well. It's more about contents of character than believing or not believing in any higher power.

Any belief can be twisted like a pretzel so that it is facing the opposite direction. I can't think of a single abhorrent thing that Christianity, for example, hasn't condoned tacitly or outright at some point - slavery, murder, torture, child molestation, war, rape. And that is 'mainstream' Christianity.

Defining someone as great is a very subjective matter and of course not all religions are alike but I won't get into that, way out of topic.

Agree with Shapiro here....

I would agree if all he did was put out a shitty opinion or even if he reveled in Charlie's death, but here he flat out lied by saying the shooter was MAGA and plenty of his audience believed him, I'm not sure deceiving the public like that should be allowed.

There are just as many religious fanatics. Look at Islamic fundamentalism which encourages suicide bombings in order to kill the Infidels.
You also had the abortion bombings in the 90s plus the many Religion based cults such as Jonestown.

In many ways wokism operates like that. You can even say that privilege is the original sin for which you must constantly atone and flagelate yourself if you are a member of the so called oppressor class.

They have little if anything in common with live and let live kind of liberals.

Richard Dawkins came into hot water recently when he stated that the modern woke movement is very religion-esque. as it operates like one, with unscientific believes that, if questioned, will get you ousted by the collective.

Been thinking a lot about the Asch Conformity Tests lately. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asch_conformity_experiments

I'm sure lots of you are familiar, but if you're not, a brief summary would be that, when embedded with a majority that gives an incorrect answer to an objective truth, people are willing to go along with the incorrect answer. E.g., stating that the line on the left is equal length to "A" or "B" in the image below:

gFto9lFwrMm5YObM.png

While the above example is black-and-white, I bet social pressure & conformity is even more prevalent when things are grey or ambiguous.

You could probably see where this can play into how media & media personalities (mainstream/indie/left/right/center/whatever) "frames" a narrative or posits a "truth" before presenting you with objective facts.

I don't have a solution for this, since it seems hard-wired into being human. But it's food for thought, I think.

This is because you are an anti-christian fanatic. There is no other way to understand the bolded. The Western society is based on Christian values, whether you like it or not. The atrocities you mention have been perpetrated by twisted individuals.

And before you even mention it, I don't believe in any god, but I won't be the one going against faith, a basic trait of human race even BEFORE existing any kind of society. Without religion, people will find a substituve product. The woke have found lots of them, to great results, as we can see.

I think it should have to be something more egregious for the government to get involved.

a) he is correct in that pedantic lawyer talk bullshit as the kid was raised in a right wing household.
b) if everyone who spoke a mistruth, half truth, or lie was cancelled we would have no government, no TV and no Xbox.

Agree. It's a really a bad look.

Hell, I'm happy he's gone but he should of been gone when ABC deemed it was necessary , not hiding behind the FCC comments to make it more a "well FCC didn't like it" excuse instead of reality about his poor ratings, horrible skits etc.

This moment should make leftists look in the mirror and realize what they have been doing for the past decade but I guess not.

In an ideal world I want to end cancel culture for all but until that happens then those who were the biggest supporters of it should taste their own medicine.

The assassin's current political affiliation isn't necessarily going to align with how he was raised. It was a false statement to suggest he was MAGA which is what Kimmel said.

I said twisted in the opening paragraph. I am not going against religion - I'm arguing against religion being some panacea to humans doing evil shit - because religious people have done all types of evil shit and have also used religion to justify why doing that evil shit isn't evil.

More so if he was gay. He would develop a natural resistance or opposition against everything he was taught at home. It's nonsensical to suggest that in the West a teenager, let alone a 22-year-old, is going to follow whatever his parents say. This was bollocks in 1950, and pure fantasy in 2025.

You and your parents are different people who can have different political opinions, there's no amount of lawyer BS that could spin the fact that Kimmel said the shooter himself, not his parents, was MAGA.

They are so in their bubble. At the end of the day the people who pay you can tell you what to say.

Several people on the political right, thus outside of the so-called bubble, have acknowledged that the FCC should not be making threats about this matter.

If he was fired exclusively due to internal discussions then that would be "fine" in theory, but that doesn't change what the FCC did. Which was to publicly pressure them.

People might think it's normal for that to happen, since we live in an era where even the president himself can threaten anyone about anything and that's no longer considered news, but it's not standard procedure.

Incidentally:

The federal investigation into the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has yet to find a link between the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, and left-wing groups on which President Donald Trump and his administration have pledged to crack down after the killing, three sources familiar with the probe told NBC News.

One person familiar with the federal investigation said that "thus far, there is no evidence connecting the suspect with any left-wing groups."

"Every indication so far is that this was one guy who did one really bad thing because he found Kirk's ideology personally offensive," this person continued.

In addition, two of the people familiar with the probe said it may be difficult to charge Robinson at the federal level for Kirk's killing, while the third source said there is still an expectation that some kind of federal charge is filed against Robinson.

Factors that have complicated the effort to bring charges at the federal level include that Robinson, a Utah resident, did not travel from out of state; Kirk was shot during an open campus debate at Utah Valley University. Additionally, Kirk himself is not a federal officer or elected official.

A Justice Department spokesperson said, "The investigation is ongoing and beyond that we decline to comment."

I've been 'boycotting' Disney
I still trying to understand leftists right now. The current narrative is that "Trump is a fascist trying to remove freedom of speech by using government as tool", but I wonder why they are canceling their Disney+ subscriptions instead of (street) protesting against the government's actions? 🤔 Do they really think a that multi-billion dollar company would act as a justice warrior on their behalf?

Makes perfect sense for ABC to tell Kimmel to tone down the bullshit he spews after Kirk's death. Entirely believable that he refused and got canned for it. Really see no need for the government to get involved at all.

I read this, too. If this is true, then it is not a bad reason to pull the plug. He was going to double down so they crushed him before he went ahead and did it.
And he can still double down. He'll just have to do it on his own without the network's platform. Everyone is making this out to be a first amendment thing but last I checked Kimmel hasn't been arrested, so first amendment is all good.

the lefties are ready to kill again :messenger_pouting: :messenger_pouting: :messenger_pouting:
It's suspicious but we need more info. Could just be a tryhard trying to help.

He was a former Sheriff's deputy out of Idaho with expired credentials.

Edit: he's out on bond too, so probably not a credible threat

If this is true, I'm not surprised.

You can tell by what he says politically for years, he's not the type to apologize. But instead, double down. You can often tell who are the combative type and who will man up and let cooler heads prevail. I said days ago he wouldnt apologize and so far I'm right.

It's not different than work. If someone made a big mistake, you can already picture in your head who would come out and admit their mistake, who wont say a thing hoping nobody finds out it's him, and if confronted with the mistake, who will be combative and stick to his guns it wasnt him when it was.

Where was this concern from the left for the first amendment when the Biden regime had its hand up the ass of every social media platform to coordinate censorship? It's almost like they really only care when it affects them.

Holy crap, that's so tone-deaf of whoever runs that account. 🫣

Yeah, he might be an over-excited cowboyish old man who wanted to offer his services or something. Probably didn't expect to be viewed as a threat.

This is nuts.

I clicked the link thinking maybe that's a parody account. Gavin Newson has his own official site, but this Press Office one looks official.

Crazy. The tweet is still up too.

I dont have a twitter account so I cant see the comments. What are the comments like? They enjoying it? Or condemning it?

This is the harsh reality, evidently the left won't stop wishing their opponents harm, even death in some cases. They are more than ready to dance over the grave of an innocent person only to sperg over a corporate suspension the day after.
Muscling up creates victims (and injustices), doesn't make sense, the only solution is what this administration is doing, and europe needs to do it as fast as possible too. Dismantling the system they created (they pretty much took over almost every industry), close borders, deport undocumented/criminals, etc. Slowly you will regain confidence in public institutions and western youth will take care of the rest.

Not surprising at all, like I said in my previous post here, the cult is collapsing and the schizos that populate it were so spoiled by no one daring to oppose them for years because of mass internet censorship that they're now losing their minds

Look at this shit and tell me it's not a cult in distress, they want to target their own families now

I know it's been said again and again already, but I am really tired of the misuse of words like "fascist". Then we have the same people who can't understand the definition of a word they regularly use talking about lists (of who to target) and their family members who have the audacity to not be in lockstep with their extremist and deluded opinions.

The amount of rot that is coming to light is truly eye-opening. I saw that Reddit has been invited to speak about the fomentation of radicalization on their platform. I hope they accept and some kind of positive change comes out of it.
