Charlie Kirk assassinated at Utah campus event

This is the ultimate goal of all the "institutional erosion of trust" we have been undergoing for the past 20 years or so. We are at a point where we no longer trust the government, police, academia, or journalism for ANYTHING.

So instead we just listen to the most charismatic puppet master we can find, which ultimately will turn out to be an AI with an avatar of a big breasted anime girl.
Except when it comes to Charlie Kirk's assassin. Everyone believes the government's official story and if you dare disagree, you'll lose your broadcast license.

It's not on the bullets, it's on the casings. They usually expect the casings will be found and analyzed. Their message can get out via the media even if they get killed by law enforcement. It's the same reason some shooters leave a manifesto or long letter explaining their thoughts, feelings, motives, goals, etc.
Well yes I know it is the casing part of the bullet, but for the layman just saying bullet means the whole enclosure.

He died shooting the people he was trying to support. Darwin award.
I didn't read the details what happened. Just read the headlines. I'll read up more later today. He shot up a van!? That's crazy people for ya.

I assumed a guy maybe got into the building and started shooting anyone he saw roaming around. Didn't think it would be a van.

I'm hearing Leo's movie releasing in a day or two involves off-brand Antifa attacking an ICE facility :pie_thinking:
Can't wait for this movie. Surprised the movie Eddington didn't explode after the CK assassination. It should be mandatory viewing for all Americans; It is prophetic, down to the very end

Investigators appear to be focused on a car that's parked outside a building next door to the Dallas ICE facility. It's believed to be the suspect's car.

A sign on the car reads: "Radioactive fallout from nuclear formations that've passed over these areas more than 2x since 1951."

Plot reads like a leftist daydream totally detached from reality, like most Western media in the last decade.

Savant is presumably a total inverse of reality too.

Dude was even using (most probably) a K98k bolt action. Hitting and killing 3 people with a 5 round clip is quite the achievement.
well, if we are gonna word police cartridge versus bullet, I now feel compelled to tell you that it's a "magazine", the clip the little metal strip that holds the cartridges before they are pushed into the magazine (or in the case of the M1 Garand, continues to hold the cartridges and then gets ejected after the last round).

If that's his car, political crackpot confirmed.

All you got to see is weird stickers on someone's car to know if they are looney bin worthy.

And here I am wanting my car as dirt free as possible. That reminds me, I got to wash my car in the driveway one of these days!

Frankly, shooting at an ICE facility isn't going to solve anything. You have to be either dumb or insane to believe otherwise. You need to change the leadership's policies (and that's what elections are for).

As for the casings and bullets with messages, I realize that is a trend...but it also opens the door for authorities to plant evidence. Which is rare, but it can and does happen on occasion (even when the guy is guilty).

All politically motivated shootings do is strengthen the side who got shot. And which we side the shooter is on make them look worse where people just go…. There you go. Another wacko from that side.

Even if the shooting is not political (hey you never know, maybe he just shut up a van because he was so pissed he lost all his money at the casino), it doesn't matter because since this event involved ICE somehow, it will be seen as a leftie attacking authority.

Who knows, maybe he even meant to kill the detainees so he's a hardcore right wing nut.

Shootings anywhere are not going to solve anything. Obviously these shooters are indeed "dumb or insane" regardless of the target.

Planting evidence? More than likely the "insane" guy wrote the messages rather than some officer risking his job and freedom to contaminate a crime scene.

That's your inability to read between the lines talking :pie_savoring:

Sure, the show was cancelled for being too subtle and smart, not because it was a most unfortunate piece of gastlighting propaganda.

This is the same shit as that despicable Netflix show about a preteen who kills a schoolmate presented as "real life case" without telling the audience that they race swapped the characters. Absolutely disgusting stuff, borderline evil.

But thats what you get in partial part due to big extremes in political views and easy access to guns. That's a bad combo. You dont see too many crazy people trying to kill as many people as possible with a knife or baseball bat. But a gun will do that in record time.
Yet the cumilative gun restrictions in Canada are an over-correction, and just punish law-abiding owners. The criminals can still get guns if they really want.

Curious to see if this leads to policy changes at ICE facilities.
Just give ICE more military grade equipment. And seriously go after ANTIFA and co. Trump Administration has been too easy on democrats and the left. Years of Biden Administration did not teach anything.

Granted it seems like they are doing more important activities like streamlining and consolidating the executive branch.

It is both really. It is basic terrorism and it is never smart. It is more about "I am doing something".

You are more likely to see more of these shootings for a while just because one of the biggest measured motivations for people doing them is the copycat effect. The sort of oddball who is prone to doing them gets really worked up by the media frenzy around the event, and all the intense focus on the shooter, and starts to envy all that attention. All for doing something they could do just as easily.

Lol. Was never a SW fan or anything. I never even saw the 2000 movies except for Samuel Jackson getting blown through a skyscraper.

But in those old movies, there's three things I wanted, more by AT AT fights, more boba fett, and Darth vader to win. Lol
The reference here, since I had assumed everyone would be familiar with the dialogue, paraphrased "You may strike me down, but I will become even more powerful." It's a good reminder of martyrdom. We won't know the downstream paths of Kirk's influence had he lived but I suspect his death will eclipse it.

Kash released the actual picture of the clip.

It seems bizarre to me that we have the world's largest military but they do virtually NOTHING to actually enforce our borders. The US ought to be one of the hardest countries to sneak into because you either gotta come in by water (and few places are that close), cross desert, or come down through remote frozen forests. Urban crossings are pretty rare compared to a lot of places. The crazy fentanyl OD crisis alone should have prompted mobilization of mechanized infantry units to secure the borders.

Sure, but you wouldn't (technically) say "shot with a rifle with a 5 round clip" because those cartridges are only stored on the stripper clips, the rounds are then "stripped" off the clip to be placed into the magazine, or in lots of military designs the clip is inserted into a divot on top of the receiver and all the rounds are pressed down into the magazine at once. So a rifle can have a "detachable box fed magazine" (the usual 'clip' put into an AK or AR-type rifle) that itself is loaded using cartridges shipped on 5-10 round clips or an "internal magazine" that holds anywhere from 3-10+ cartridges. The clips are typically used for easy shipping, loading, and counting 'bullets', not for actual operation of the firearm itself. The M1 Garand being a notable exception with it's 8 round clamp style clip that is necessary for proper functioning of the Garands internal magazine.

These days "clips" usually refer to filled box magazines because only old military bolt action rifles have the capability to be loaded via stripper clips and you rarely, if ever, see target or hunting ammunition loaded that way. So clip migrated to mean "box magazine" and it stuck. Just like "Bullet" can refer to the entire loaded cartridge even though technically the bullet is just the part being fired. Back when more folks loaded their own ammo this distinction was more widespread, but these days it's irrelevant.

So that pic of the 5 rounds on a stripper clip wasn't removed from the rifle, it was extra ammunition.

that never happened btw. that whole netflix stuff was made up by right wingers. that show isn't based on a true story.

The government cannot use military like this. Well, at least it is not that easy. Granted I doubt that many National Guard officers will go against the president and side with the governor. I don't see that much "love" from them to the governors. I do feel like eventually some governors will go against the federal government. Too much build up there. The reason for open borders is basically a deliberate sabotage to get something like the Amnesty Act again sooner or later + suppress the wages, have a lot of dependent people on the government etc.

Considering the "fixes" of the executive branch (basically dismantling FDR legacy who created all those agencies to avoid the Congress), by and large, we are witnessing the transformation from the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire (with Byzantine flavour). Just like in Rome, people will eventually get tired of political violence, constant "civil war", radicalization and will ask for a crackdown by someone. There will be elections, but the "president" will become an emperor. Congress will be there, SCOTUS etc. But the real power will be with the president. It does not help that the Congress is dysfunctional too so people want something to work at least. And thus EO are basically the "laws" as long as there is the consistent line of emperors, as they can just keep them without going through the congress, thus turning them into "laws" everybody used to eventually. Same happened in the Roman Republic.

I do feel that in the current environment, FBI is useless and has to be dismantled and some new forces should be formed instead.

Not me. Those YouTube videos were a dude is talking over the top of an animated anime girl are fucking disgusting. I turn that shit off immediately, I don't care what they have to say lol.

Stop watching/reading CNN, MSNBC, ABC news. Those other groups have not been active for a while.

Antifa groups in the meantime are well funded by rich left-wing activists like George Soros and Pritzker family

BLM riots in 2020-2021, Tesla showrooms looting/burning, violent protests against ICE early this year are done by groups self-proclaimed as antifa, antifa-affiliated, antifa-adjacent

….and violent pro-palestine protests like this

I am a bit confused. Non-binary means you don't feel like a man or a woman. So why would you be Trans? Was he transitioning to become a Ken doll?

Yeah, you'd have to alter posse comitatus but really, if you consider illegal immigration with drug smuggling, human trafficking, and gun running (well, maybe north to south on that one :P as an "invasion" then having active duty patrol the 1 mile of US border facing mexico and canada seems like a reasonable accommodation that wouldn't lead to active duty cracking down on rebellious students or shooting striking truck drivers. After all, if China were to deploy a massive airborne assault of California, would the US military be unable to respond once they got into US airspace or territory? Surely they could! Patrolling and enforcing borders is like the one (and often ONLY) reason most countries have ANY military, they certainly have little to no capacity to project power against a far, or even near, adversary.

After Jahn was identified as the alleged shooter, his brother Noah told NBC News that he did not believe his brother was especially interested in politics and had not voiced his opinions on immigration before.

'He didn't have strong feelings about ICE as far as I knew,' his brother said.

Noah said his brother was unemployed but had previously worked as a coder

So true. I bet most people never even heard of Kirk until he got shot.

JD tries so hard to be like Trump, but he just comes off looking like such a poser and weak bitch. Maybe if we didn't know his history ( ͡°ᴥ ͡° ʋ). Can't say his supporters care much about having integrity so I guess we can't blame him

Didn't SCOTUS strike down the "invasion" argument? I recall Trump was not allowed to use it for alien deportations or something. In case of invasion, we will Rand Paul talking about the due process for chinese invaders.

Except he is not trying to be like Trump. Nuisance is trying though (I am still wondering in what reality he is living).

VP calling people "dipshit" is not going to get old
It's part of the reason no one outside the US takes us seriously, if that mattered to you :messenger_confounded:

Like Trump crying and lashing out at the UN fucking w/ his escalator when actually his videographer triggered the safety mech --Now Kash Patel who is using the FBI as right arm of the white house to immediately post pictures of shell casings and determining ideological motives before any kind of formal investigation? It's embarrassing.
