I'm guessing Morgan is gonna bring back Jeff and Lester.

I'd assume that as well. I wonder how they'd work Big Mike into this though without him knowing about the CIA stuff as "manager" if they want him back.

That whole scene with Jeff and Lester was money.

The ace of base reference, the obi reference, the tranq darts, the cars following them, the hiding in the wild 7 mins from the Buy More.... lol :lol :lol :lol

I don't watch this show but I just tuned if for "The Event" and liked the song they were just playing. I looked it up and it's called "A Girl, A Boy, and a Graveyard" by Jeremy Messersmith :D

ps: I am gonna buy any CD he had just off that song...

Holy fucking shiiiiiit!!! I LOVED this episode. It felt like something straight out of the front end of S2, and was better than S3 in its entirety for me. Hilarious, sexy, great character interactions, tons of awesome action – just classic Chuck up and down, backwards and forwards. Probably a top 5 episode for the entire series for me right there. Goddamn. The only thing that I'm worried about is commitment issues becoming the new relationship angst. Other than that, (Captain) awesome! Also, in case anyone still doesn't realize it, Jeff and Lester are the comedic glue of the whole show. The episode got 10x funnier the second they reappaered.

- Morgan to Old Spice: “have you looked at yourself in a mirror lately? You’re…quite impressive, actually” :lol
- Sarah: “you still love me?” :lol
- Yvonne in that black dress – yowza, best shes looked in a while
- loved the Ferrigno confession of love and Sarah’s reaction
- more terrible greenscreen work :lol
- the sequence with Morgan showing Beckman that the Buy More is too efficient was very slick
- Lester’s Jedi mind trick :lol
- Lester: “yeah, we’ve had people following us for months” Casey “did you ever consider that they might be driving behind you?” *bewilderment on Lester’s face* :lol :lol :lol
- the whole scene with Jeff taking like 10 tranqs before going down had me in stitches
- okay, so Yvonne got even hotter when she stripped down to her black lingerie – sheeeiiiiiiiiiit
- Jeff: “Rumor has it you’re pregnant. Is there room in that womb for two?” :lol

The relationship stuff was kind of intolerable, and I kind of hate how often Chuck alternates between helpless and badass (he could have flashed at about eight points in this episode, but instead we got squeaky-voice helpless Chuck).

Still, I loved parts of it. The Jeffster parts were gold, and Old Spice guy was amazing.

"30 feet." :lol

Fucking fantastic episode. I feel there are good things ahead if we get an episode of this caliber this early in the season.

The comedy was great (loved Mustafa picking up the TV with one hand), and damn did Sarah look better than usual in this episode. The lingerie was hot, but that shot near the end of her in the panties and the button up shirt was OMFG.

At least my wife doesn't mind that I just sit there with rapt attention anytime Yvonne is showing off.

I was just lukewarm on the premiere, but this was straight dope into my veins. Shit was bananas. Like you said PB, an episode this good this early should bode well. It did in S2!

I agree, this was like late season 2 quality, but now early in the season.

Perhaps they took the negative criticism of season 3 personally. Now they are like "We will show you what happens when you doubt us!" I hope.

Disagree.

Chuck and Sarah's team dynamic adds a new comedic edge for me. :lol
I just liked how upset and jealous she was during the episode.

I hope they make a call back about the runway fight later. Like someone recognizes her and wants to make her model.

And Chuck having a slap fight with Lou Ferrigno. :lol

You can also put me in the camp that loved the episode. I think just about everything was hitting its stride. I could see the commitment becoming annoying, but I as long as it isn't every single episode it will be a lot better then last year (although $10 says it ends with them being engaged by the end of the season). Anyway, my highlights were...

- Old Spice Guy was pretty damn good for the limited part he got. "You're a tiny man aren't you." Also, we need a gif of his smile.

- And yeah, as I posted about a few days ago, I have no doubt the Buy More is back to allow in-show advertising. iRobot Roomba anyone?

- Morgan and the General work pretty good together. And good for Morgan for becoming store manager.

- Speaking of which, my favorite line from the General was, "Hopefully your wooly friend will come through."

- The entire Jeffester scene was fantastic, from Ace to Base to the Jedi Mind trick to the fact that they were only hidden 7 minutes away from the Buy More with traffic. And Jeff takes more tranq darts then Casey did. :lol

- Awesome: "But I was in the Buy More. Everyone there was super attractive and highly skilled. It was like I worked there. But why would I work in a Buy More?"

- Sarah was amazingly hot in this episode. From the dresses to the lingerie. Wow.

- Jeff also had the creepiest line I have heard in this show. "Rumor is you're pregnant. Is there room in that womb for two?"

Still trying to reconcile that they actually paid Bronson Pinchot for a 5 second cameo :lol
I know. Perhaps that was a one off thing, and he will be in another episode with a larger role.

Unless they make him like The Observer on Fringe. He is everywhere.

I actually like that she was on the fashion magazine cover. I was afraid they were going to ignore the fact that she just had a very hot fight in front of a ton of media.

I also can't believe I forgot to mention the slap fight. Hilarious. :lol

This would be a perfect episode for indoctrinating someone into the show. Pretty much a perfect cocktail of what makes Chuck work when it is firing on all cylinders.

Alan Sepinwall's blog post on it.

And this week for music.
"Flaunt It" - TV Rock (Chuck and Sarah at the fashion show party)
"I Like That" - Richard Vission & Static Revenger Starring Luciana (Fight with Sofia and Gerard)
"Feed My Frankenstein" - Alice Cooper (Return to the Buy More)
"A Girl, A Boy, and A Graveyard" by Jeremy Messersmith (the final montage)
The music when Chuck was breaking into the safe sounded like it was using part of "Run Through the Jungle" by CCR

Probably one of my all time favorite episodes, with the sole reason being:

"Jeff, do you ever miss Ace of Base?"

"Always"

I've had an unnatural appreciation of Ace of Base since I can remember. I almost died when I heard that line. Absolutely fantastic and the only thing that would've made it better is if they'd have come into the Buy More with an Ace of Base song.

Also, holy holy shit and Sarah tonight. Absolutely smoking.
