Yeah, and it's odd all of this is happening with pretty much no advertising.

Imagine the ratings if Chuck had just a couple million more for advertising. The show would skyrocket in ratings, imo.

I dont know if it would skyrocket, but it would go up some. It has an extremely loyal audience, but at this point I dont know how much larger the audience would get with ads. If only they had the post super bowl spot the other year.

House was in reruns last week, so that might have helped Chuck out a little bit. Still, there is a very loyal base (unfortunately not a huge one) that tunes in every week.

What would be great to see is if they shot a Chuck cover for the magazine, but had the cast dressed as hunters from Supernatural. Then do a Supernatural cover with them dressed as Nerd Herders.

I'm not certain that Josh Schwartz's best = Solo's best, but I guess I'll know tomorrow. Schwartz is all about relationship drama and stuff, so...

I don't consider any Chuck episode to be the best when it has
conflict that jepordizes Chuck and Sarah's relationship
in any way. :p :(

We get Dalton tomorrow. I am excited.

Also, most of the early reviews for this episode are glowing. We shall see. I for one will be at work when it airs, but will catch it on Hulu Tuesday morning.

In general I agree with your bolded, but it seems all of the other early reviews are pretty glowing as Phonciple said, so I am optimistic.

*If* that's what he means by "best episode in 2 years", I'm excited. Versus the Ring was my personal favorite from S2. Unfortunately, I'm going to be away from my TV again tonight :(

Ok, just did a double feature of Colonel and Ring. Damn, those are still the best two episodes. Whatever happened to the Orion Gauntlet? I want to know.

Good news. I feared we'd be a weak first today and Supernatural would beat us at the eleventh-hour (since the second place is always more motivated than the first place, which feels secure). I feel being a close second in the last update actually improves Chuck's chances of making the cover.

I see your point about the voting, Revo, but we'll have to wait and see. This thing has gone on for so long that I feel like a lot of people are getting apathetic at this point.

Yeah, it's definitely gone on too long. It's been what, 2-3 weeks? TV Guide loves boasting that they got over 4 million votes (most of which being repeated Chuck/Supernatural votes by the same fans, but they'll never admit that)...

Still, no matter how badly it's been handled, TV Guide is still a major magazine, and Chuck needs every bit of promotion it can get. Things like this poll, demonstrations of fan dedication are also a major reason why the show is still on the air right now. Nobody in this thread can say these never work.

just watched Chuck vs The best friend and omg it was just awesome, every second of it.
Lester&Jeff singing Africa at the end..icing on the cake :lol
