Also thanks gdt!!! For basically telling me about this show. I'm just on S1 but it's definitely one of my favorite shows now! LOST is still my fav or course ,but this is for sure in my top 5!

"I Think We Should Have Sex" is one of the best episodes of the entire show.

<3 Matt and Julie. Mulie.

Or Jatt.

man i completely fell off the rewatch train. got caught up with my own Entourage rewatch since the show is coming back in a few months. ill have to continue this too

Just finished episode 15, watching 16 now. I really dig the racism plot, if only for the great Coach and Mack scenes.

Everyone is flat out amazing in this episode.

Special props go to Connie Briton.

"Don't! Don't you smirk at me right now, I am very upset! You are not allowed to have sex! You're 15 years old!"

I can't believe she (and Chandler) doesn't have an Emmy yet.

Lol @ Matt's

"But don't touch me right now, just give me a minute."

*awkward silence*

Looks like someone had a boner :lol .

Edit: I'd like to see a (S4 stuff)
Buddy Garrity
romance in S4.

Edit2: Watching episode 18.

yeah I wasn't liking it until the end, and that was a very great scene!

*shakes head up and down furiously*
:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol What I would have given for a girl that beautiful to say that to me in high school!:lol But truthfully Matt handled it the right way! It would have been awesome for him, but he seen that she was just pressuring herself to do it! He obviously loves her and it showed in the following scenes!

:lol ROTF at the Indian leg wrestling! Damn good episode

I sooo don't want to stop damn this show is crack, I've watched 18 episodes in like 3 days! Episode 18 was great as well! But WTF at Jule getting in trouble all the time, I don't understand why they couldn't have just left the party without going to the hospital and her calling her mom! I love the Jason/Lyla story line, and Lyla is soo goddamn hot, but damn see is soo annoying sometimes! Will she ever start trusting her relationships. I guess it was because she was drunk but damn! Can't wait for the last 4 episodes!!!!!!!

Because
Tyra's Mom
was on the floor bleeding?

Or am I reading this wrong...

Edit: The Buddy/Eric confrontation in this episode is amazing.

Reveals alot about Buddy...

Boom! Casting error! Kinda.

The guy in episode 18 who won't sell Jason the beer is the
weird drug dealer from S2
.

Now, you can always say that they're the same character seeing as he wasn't named in E18, but they're not.

Well, just finished season 1.......... wow. Seriously one of the best Season of any show I've seen! Last episode was great! Loved Tim with that Hot ass Milf and that kid,:lol and Taylor's wife awesome news. Coach had it right, there is more important things than football! I'm taking a few days before I start season 2, can't wait to see if he does go the to the other school, but I can pretty much guess, damn what a great season! Shame that the show is only an hour long though, I actually wanted them to focus on the state game more. I think I'll rent FNL the movie too, I saw it about 4 years ago, and loved it but forgot most of it! Hope season 2 doesn't sucks as much as everyone says. (goddam writers strike, it sucks seasons 2, and 3 are only 15, and 13 episodes long. Are the story lines at least more focused, with so little episodes? Nonetheless I can't wait!!

Pretty much what Costanza said.

I'll just add that S3 is like a laser.

I'll also add that S2 is definitely weaker, but it's still good and gets better as the season goes along.

Just make sure to roll with the first two episodes. They'll crush your soul. Just keep on keeping on.

:( Damn that bad, but will do!!

Just finished S01.21. I'll watch the finale tomorrow.

Regarding Jason/Lila (don't read unless you've seen everything)

I kind of feel we never got real closure for the Jason and Lila relationship. (On a side note, theres a deleted scene from the finale where Lila calls Jason when her car is stuck, he basically tries to stay on the phone with her and wait with her but she gets angry and throws the phone away) They took that trip in S2, but they never really had any related dialog during that. And of course the worst scene in the entire show (where Jason and Lila kiss, then immediately after Tim and Lila kiss) doesn't really lend any conclusion. They had that beautiful scene in S3, where we see that they still have that connection, but that was more of an epilogue than closure/a conclusion.

Oh well.

I wish I could just hang around making out with Julie.
Me too!

I think I should just go ahead and get s2 started already I was going to wait for few days but if it's as bad as they say, I just want to get to S3 as soon as possible!
I know I shouldn't have but I did read the Wiki summary on S2. All I had was a
16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Also WTF at
most of the regulars not being on the show anymore, I may just stop after season 3. Unless Matt, and Julie are in the show still, but damn, Smash, and Jason getting written off! :(

Just finished the finale :D .

"I was liiiivinnnn a Devil Townnnnn, diiidn't knowww it was a Devvvil Townnn..."

Perfect song for the series.

Edit: Awww, Matt was the one that started the clap for the Coach at the end.

It's gonna be tough getting through the start of this season
Yeah, just watched it, :/ to say the least. WTF at most everything in this episode! Not sure why but everything seems different but the coach! He's definitely the best actor on the show! Loved the scene at the end with his baby in his hands!
OMFG at Julie..... did the show have different writers or something, it just seemed like the heart from season 1 wasn't there! I did love the Tim and Lyla scene, :lol :lol :lol at his three-way comment. Still like the show just for the coach and his wife, but damn. :(( Also poor Matt!

I am convinced S2 of FNL is the Sci-Fi season (at least for the first couple of episodes).

You see, aliens came and replaced our lovable Julie Taylor with some alien being designed to break Matt's and her parent's hearts. It was a scheme hatched by the Laribee team to disrupt the quaterback (and eventually coach) of the Dillon Panthers.

Thats the only way I can explain how S3 Julie is back to being her lovable self.

Aliens.

Julie didn't bother me too much. Seemed like a typical teenager change, growing pains, shit like that. We, the audience, are just watching like concerned parents who can't do anything to help her. Just gotta let her make her own mistakes, broski.

The only thing I hate about this show is that every Hispanic character this show focuses on is either going into, coming out of, or doing something that should put them in jail.

That and the plot holes, unfinished arcs and missing characters from season 2, while horrible kind of led to a WTF sort of retcon start to season 3, with inconsistencies like Street's best friend senior year being a sophmore?

and

That touching scene where the D-II HBC coach introduces Smash to his new 'brothers', and they end up pulling his scholarship after his injury, even though after rehab he'd still probably be the best athlete on the (again D-II) team?

Also did Coach Taylor end killing up that Science teacher for hanging around his wife?

Either way, if the show is coming back, I can't wait to see Coach Taylor get some revenge on Dillon High.

I think you're caring over the small details a bit too much.

Though I can see your Hispanic characters complaint, though we should
see some more next year seeing as how Coach is in the poorer side of town, as per Kyle Chandler
.

True, but I experienced the series for the first time on a marathon watching session of season 1 and 2 on Hulu. So that stuff just really seemed to stick out once season 3 started.

Well, just watched ep's 2 through 5, it's not that bad, but it does feel all over the place, it's like there forcing conflict. The heart that season 1 had is seriously gone though! The Julie and Matt think is soo fucking stupid, and in episode 5 when Matt didn't play the bitch I liked it and hated it, Julie did deserve it a little bit, but the hole thing is stupid! The Landry story line isn't as bad as I was thinking, it definitely is bad, just not as bad as everyone was saying! Lyla and the religious thing is ridiculous, I like her and the other two together though, Tim is fucking hilarious!:lol Over all so far it's definitely not good, I still love the coach though, he is fucking awesome, poor guy just wanted some from the wife:lol

Come on, Julie deserved it. And she will keep deserving for doing that to my boy :(.

If you're referring to the scene I think you are, it's the worst scene in the entire show. I actively cringe and shudder when I think about it. It shits on that whole storyline in S1.

:lol :lol :lol " I have to go pray now" No that terrible shit! No, I just mean all three of them together, Tim and Lyla definitely love street, and Tim and J love Lyla. I like the scenes they share, when they're just friends that care about one another. but the scene with above quote was terrible writing and no amount of being drunk in Mexico would condone it

So apparently I finished Season 2. Hadn't realized it ended early (was this the writers' strike?), so it was kinda a surprise.

I wasn't a huge fan of the second half, either. It got better than the first, but I didn't like
Riggins falling apart over Lilah, Matt falling apart over Carlota, Landry choosing Tyra over Daphne, Julie emoing out about the volleyball stuff (although the DMV thing was Mrs. Coach's bad, no question), Smash still being hotheaded and getting owned over it, etc.
Maybe if they'd resolved stuff it would've been more palatable.

So now I've gotta go buy the DVD's for season 3 (unless I want to wait for Netflix to ship the discs to me independently). I've heard that they
Cycle the graduating seniors out and bring in new characters
? Should be nice. Although I'd imagine it'll give
Landry a bigger role on the team
, which I never approved of in the first place...

Ugh, THAT SCENE. THAT FUCKING SCENE.

Good episode (it can only be so good with the storylines already in place) besides that.

I stopped at ep 5, but I haven't had much time to watch anything, this weekend, I'll try to put this season behind me!

I'm finishing up S2.08, and the last couple of episodes have been good. Except for a couple of storylines introduced, that is. But definitely a step up from the beginning.

Glad to see
Julie getting her heart broken by Matt's awesome new girlfriend :)
.

S3 Spoiler
Wow, Buddy just wrecked the strip mall investor guy at the Land Strip. :O

Oh the noes, Matt and Julie just busted by coach sleeping together.

The scene where

I think it's by FAR the worst scene in the entire show, and it shits on soooo much of what went on in S1.

In regards to your second spoilered line:

I loved loved loved the morning drive after they had sex for the first time by the lake. Such a sweet and quiet scene.

The episode you're talking about is really great as well.

"[deep breath] That...That...is my daughter!"

So awesome.

Didn't really bother me that much.
Just some crazy kids being stupid in Mexico.

Yeah, that was great.

The whole episode is excellent.
The fallout from Matt&Julie was good, Lyla vs Buddy played out well and Riggins stepped up, coach getting ejected was epic, Landry stood up to Tyra, and even JD grew a pair. One of my favorite episodes of S3 thus far.

Finished 2.09, finally that
murder
plot is done.

On to There Goes The Neighborhood; my second (ish) favorite of the season.
