BTW, I've kind of been planning to hold off on GotG stuff till the Annihilation Conquest Omnibus comes out, at which point I would grab that, the Annihilation Omnibus, and the two Complete Collections, since people said they all go together waaaaay back when I asked, IIRC. Tokyo Ghost won't have a bunch of variant covers, good on Remender and Murphy.

After a few conversations today with Image and Sean Murphy (Gordon if you’re nasty) we’ve decided to not artificially bump the orders on TOKYO GHOST #1 with a bunch of variants. The general consensus is that we’re doing harm to the industry with this tactic. A tactic we’ve all used on many other books and always felt a bit off about. Sean has already done a number of covers, so we’ll be offering an “A” cover and “B” cover, both by Sean, and that’s it. TOKYO GHOST #1 is a double-sized first issue and ships in September.

I like a good variant thrown in every now and then, but I hate it when there are 60000 covers to choose from. Here is one of my favorite of the past few years that I own:

The only part of Ultimatum that I like is the Spider-Man arc. The rest is pretty terrible, including the X-Men and FF minis.

They really should've let Bendis or Millar write the event. I'm not saying it would've been good, but if they wanted to do it they would've made more sense.

The post-Ultimatum Spider-Man relauch is really good too. I like Johnny and Bobby joining the cast.

How would you guys rank the regular USM artists? Would it be correct to say that Bagley is the worst (least good) out of all of them?

That post ultimatum era of USM is fucking gold. Johnny, Bobby, Gwen, and Pete in the same house was an amazing idea. I love stories that have Peter with superpowered roomates.

Even cheesecake artists do a better job than Land. This cover doesn't look drawn, it looks like he just photoshopped a bunch of stuff he did, put them all together, and called it a day.
