Guys, sorry about the non comics post. Pls don't be angry. But, I made it onto the TV.
I'm in the yellow :)
Messi on Messi action.

My view
Other than that I read the two most recent Batman Eternal issues and I think I've come back around on Eternal. It's an enjoyable read right now but it seems slightly pointless with other books skipping to the future.
Target Acquired.

I've been lazy on the uploads but here's a collection of the last couple month IST orders

That's a lot of things to put on the shelf and never read. I'm still on page 5 of Hellboy Library vol 1, bought all six volumes.

I don't think I seen this posted. Anyone interested? I think Hickmans work is a bit too dense and confusing for me. But I know some people here really love him.

New York Times bestselling and award-winning writer Jonathan Hickman (EAST OF WEST, THE AVENGERS) teams up with explosive artist Ryan Bodenheim (RED MASS FOR MARS, SECRET) for an all-new adventure series fraught with mystery, intrigue, and exotic end-of life care in THE DYING AND THE DEAD, coming from Image Comics on January 28.
The adventures begins in THE DYING AND THE DEAD #1 when a murder at a wedding sets off a series of reactions, unraveling secrets hundreds of years old. At great cost, a man with a dying wife is given the opportunity to save her. A lost tribe is reborn in another time. Seemingly unconnected events that force relics from the Greatest Generation to come together for one last hurrah.
“It’s not often that you work on something that feels almost perfect from day one, but working with Ryan again and how we’re both so in sync regarding the story, it really does feel like it could be something special,” said co-creator Hickman.
THE DYING AND THE DEAD (Diamond Code NOV140534) is a massive, over-sized, 60-page Indiana Jones-style high adventure that arrives in stores this 1/28 and will be available for $4.50.

I really don't know what words to use to express how great Robinson's Starman is...

"It makes his current work all the more depressing"?
"I wish Tony Harris would do more stuff like this instead of making women hating statements on Twitter"?
"I need a staff like Starman"?

"I hope they catch the bastard that kidnapped the real Robinson back in 2001."

Looking to get some books for a friend, can anyone recommend some modern Hulk graphic novels / trade paper backs for someone that was a fan during the golden age?

They have trades collecting the older stuff if that's what your friend is into, or are you looking for something newer?

I can never recommend Planet Hulk enough for any Hulk fan.

Anything that seems to be a collection of the early stuff is way outside my price range unless I'm not looking for the right editions, so I was thinking a few from the more modern time. Someone else recommended Hulk Visionaries and there seems to be a view versions of it around.

Dear DC,

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

It appears they're switching trade format mid-series, those twats. Batwoman Vol.5 comes out this week, and it's a TPB. Vol.4 was a hardcover. God dammit. Assssssholes.

About what are you looking to spend here? The Marvel MasterWorks collections are only about $75 list-price, but they can be had for significantly less if you buy from InStockTrades.

Starman is so amazing. Even with the big backlog this Christmas break I'm looking to reread one of my all time runs.

Right now I've got the following series that are up for consideration
Planetary
Starman
Gotham Central
Transmet
Top 10
Preacher
Sandman
JSA
Johns flash
Whedons astonishing xmen

Thinking at most 100$ shipping included, best bang for the buck. Haven't heard of instocktrades, I'll check them out.

Well, IST takes about 40% off list price for most Marvel books, and their shipping is a flat $4 fee. Unless you spend over $50, then shipping is free (so long as you live in the US).

They originally listed Batwoman Vol 4 as only TPB then there was an outrage over the very thing you are complaining about and they buckled and released a hardcover. Its bullshit if they don't

As far as I know, the complaints happened before the book came out, because it was originally solicited as a tpb as well. But seeing as this one comes out this week, I think they might have actually pulled the trigger on the format-change.

This is now my favorite final page. If you know what he's staring at, you understand. But the facial expression... damn

I've read up to vol. 6 (Barracuda) and MAX is incredible. Mother Russia was my favorite before, but the Slavers arc was even better.

Ah that is complete horseshit. I have 1-4 in Hardcover. I wont support this change.

Hey DC...don't do this to Batgirl. please.

Sorry man, that shit enrages me when it happens. Even something as simple as changing the way the spine looks on a run before it finishes (like updating the DC logo to its current iteration) makes me want to sell the whole thing.

Real talk, I got Volume 4 of Morrison's JLA Deluxe Editions, thinking the fourth one was gonna complete the cover spine they were going for, with all Wally West Flash on the right side there

They are renumbering the Batgirl trades, so the next one will be Volume 1 again. I think it's still a hardcover, that's what Amazon have listed anyway.

Kinda makes sense, I guess.

I'd rather forget about Simone's lackluster run on N52 Batgirl. I know it's not her fault and DC editorial was swinging their dicks around telling her what to write about. You could tell she wasn't enjoying herself with this run.

And now Marts is over at Marvel! Whoever made that hiring decision made a mistake, imo... but maybe it was above even him?

I'm also like this -_-

I can't stand things to be mismatched when I'm collecting trades, I always make sure a run is completely available before I start collecting. Like, I won't collect Starman or Ex Machina until they have Hardcover reprint.

Edit: Did not mean to be on top of the page...
