Timeskip yada yada, but a few guys were patrolling the outer area's of Rick's/Maggie's peaceful community when they encounter a zombie herde. While running away they hear the walkers "talk". One of the patrolmen (one is left behind because he broke his leg) reaches Rick and tells him the dead could talk. At first you think it's a red herring, but in #132 a searchparty (with someone called Dante) looking for the patrolman with the broken leg encounter a zombie group. A few of them start to talk and use knifes in combat. Dante freaks out and manages to kill a few. He examines one of the heads he severed and discovers stiches. It's a zombies face and the girl he killed was wearing it like a mask. The other "zombie" he killed is the same. He's shocked and behind him a man wearing a zombie's entire skin points a shotgun at him. "Don't move". End issue.

The nice thing about this style is it would be waaay quicker to draw. Also, more cartoony = less need to be anatomically correct. Which is good because I'm awful with anatomy.
Oh most definitely. I actually have a few from reviewing a while back. I believe it was DMP or someone who used to send a ton of them and they'd just pile up because only one person ever picked them up, so I tried grabbing a few. Nothing smutty, but if you get yourself out of the mindset that you have to place yourself in the relationships, then there's some decent romance stuff. I actually had the first two volumes (never got the third, always halfhearted glance at the yaoi sections at anime conventions for the hell of it though) of Kurashina Sensei's Passion sitting on my most visible shelf for a while since they were the right size to go with Viz's Sig line and stuff, but nobody ever commented on them. My personal favorite moment (and what I think stopped me grabbing them) was when I got a title that wasn't denoted as pornographic, was perfectly normal romance stuff otherwise, and then BAM, one big panel of clearly visible buttsex. It's like... why? If you're going to go dirty go all the way, if you're keeping it clean then keep it that way, but just a single page? I ended up pawning it off on a Yaoi fangirl I knew.
Oh, and regardless of how you feel about the stuff What Did You Eat Yesterday? from Vertical is a really neat little title if you're looking for a really chill manga about cooking and gay middle aged men that's super relaxed. Just something really different.

just finished reading Punish Max: The Slavers. That got pretty depressing towards the end
Everyone at the end pretty much admits that even though Punisher killed all those dudes it pretty much won't do anything to stop human trafficing. Also sad to see that the girls did not have happy endings and the rest of their lives were pretty much ruined.

I'm fucking French and I fucking sighed at the villains in the epilogue going "Sam Wilson is a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER who has NO EXPERIENCE" because it's literally the least subtle thing ever. Like the only thing it was missing was a vignette of Rick Remender in the corner shouting "GET IT???? I'M TALKING 'BOUT OBAMA HERE. LIKE, THE PRESIDENT? THE PRESIDENT OBAMA OF THE UNITED STATES? THIS IS A METAPHOR FOR THAT Y'ALL".
It's like somehow Slott can be good when he can just think up a crazy concept and then have said crazy concept mean nothing and be of no consequence at all because we'll go to another wacky planet next issue, which means no followthrough, which means no chance to fuck it up, unlike pretty much all of his Spider-Man run.

IMO, best Punisher-story by far. Very coherent in its telling, pulls no punches and extremely bleak. I love how its effects can be seen in the next arc, The Widowmaker - the extreme violence and nihilism contained in The Slavers casts ripples into Frank's already fractured psyche. I especially liked
the "opening case", in which Frank disposes of the parents manufacturing child porn.

The disconnect between how good Surfer is and how bad his Spider-Man run has been is kind of amazing. You're right though, I think it's because he can use all these goofy throwaway ideas, have Allred make them visualize them in totally awesome ways, and then be one and done with them.

It happens occasionally. They'll ship it once it gets restocked. Usually they'll wait a few days, but if the restock takes too long, they'll just ship a partial order, which is what they did here.

I was a little scared of reading the interview because the intro talked about "how it reveals a huge key to the mystery leading to the Hellboy endgame" and I didn't want to get spoiled.
Does this mean Frankenstein is going to tie in heavily to the Hellboy universe? Or is it going to be a standalone thing that just has a few little things that are nice little easter eggs for the people who read Frankenstein and Hellboy/BPRD?
I was sort of hoping it would be a standalone Frankenstein story.
