Black Myth: Wukong is easily my fav game this gen,
scored like 70s-low 80s
cant trust these journalists, we just appreciate different aspects of a game. i dont need perfect systems and execution.
i need good immersion, high visual fidelity, dope atmosphere and exploration + great combat
This.Biggest compliment I've seen is the yellow paint crew saying it's too complicated, fuckin excited.

Dragon's Dogma was a 75 on Metacritic and there's some things in these reviews that remind me of what reviews said about DD1 at launch, so I'm in.What games?
By some ppl metrics over here DD1 is hot garbageDragon's Dogma was a 75 on Metacritic and there's some things in these reviews that remind me of what reviews said about DD1 at launch, so I'm in.

Loves Marathon hates The Joker ... Im starting to think that our tastes are different... what you think about eating shit ? Hope we find common ground on this one.Importantly, Joker was in fact a heaping pile of shit.
If that's the case, I would just safely assume the critiques of that nature are just industry people covering for other industry people who don't make games that well. Can I volunteer you to do that, I don't wanna.
In an undisclosed native ad for Ass Creed Shadows. It's not a review, just a multi paragraph glazing. https://www.eurogamer.net/the-wind-in-assassins-creed-shadows-offers-more-than-graphical-blusterThere are lots of trees in feudal Japan, towering conifers and shorter but no less beautiful deciduous varieties whose leaves oscillate between the vivid greens of spring and burned autumnal tones. But many trees lie felled on the ground, hacked to bits by rapacious warlords intent on demonstrating and protecting their power with gigantic fortifications and opulent palaces.
It's the first single player game they've made.Is this the teams first game on this scale/scope? If so, that's even more impressive.
And let's not forget a lot of the issues could probably be ironed out vis patches.
I'm not gonna throw shit at the game that looks this good and does so much. I'll get it down the road. I still need to start RE9 tonight.
Then color me impressed. It's the first single player game they've made.

Hell no, I'm not waiting either. I've no doubt there will be patches all year long. The fact that a game this big is pretty optimized and running well on release is still great, especially after all of the games of 2025 that ran like shit.He says he loves the game lol, but might be worth waiting for patches.

Whoa, speak for yourself there. Most of these guys who are awful were always awful, age not a relevant factor.Morden leagcy reviewers are old men in their 30's who are too old get good at games.
I liked Ryse Son Of Rome and is a 60 game. After watching some reviews, Crimson reminds me Shadows of Mordor and Tears of Kingdom in some parts, but looks like the game lacks of quality. 77 is ok.Some people loved it
I'll just say what I've always said. 70 is a good score. 80 is a great score. Looking forward to playing

Yeah exactly. He also mentions Dragon's Dogma a few times in the review and that's music to my ears lol. No way I miss on this one.Hell no, I'm not waiting either. The real upper 80's is the friends we made along the way.Voted upper 80s, looks like I was away off lol. After that first leaked review though I'm not surprised
Yea pretty much, nioh 3 is awesome.. Don't give two shits about what's going on lmao"The combat is a blast, the story is bullshit."
Sounds perfectly fine to me as a NiOh enjoyer![]()
Yup. Loaded YouTube and saw he had it available. His review is there? Tbh, the only one I really care about. Just got out from theater watching Iron Lung , will watch review at home.
The correct approach isn't to buy into ideology (I genuinely feel sorry for people who are stuck in this worldview), but look at the individual reviewers. IGN for instance is Travis Northrup. I know compared to me he overthinks things. He'll penalise a game where I'm just thinking is this still fun, not does it advance the gaming genre.IGN and Gamespot reviews are all over the place. It's actually retarded that Metacritic weighs them heavier than any other website writing a review. IGN gave Veilguard a 9 and Godhand a 3. If your game features leftoid politics it will 100% get favorable treatment from these outlets.
I'm excited for this game, but if he doesn't have a cousin named Dewd Mcbro I might have to refund it.Main character's name is Cliff McDuff![]()

I don't think I've ever loved or even managed to finish an open world game that scored in the 70s on MC/OC. Games that are 50+ hours long can't afford to also be average.
With that said, I'm keeping an open mind and I'm still looking forward to playing this tomorrow. Reviews don't ever tell the full story, of course.
It's apparently not very responsive, with overlapping inputs that lead to unintended actions. Are there any in depth talking points about the controls? Thats my main concern right now. If I have to use a cheat sheet just to manipulate objects in the world, I might not want to play.
Steam refund requestI'm excited for this game, but if he doesn't have a cousin named Dewd Mcbro I might have to refund it.
No!We've got a high of 100 and a low of 45 across 87 different people. Same reviewers will probably give GTA 6 scores in the 90s and I'll probably end up hating it just like I always do GTA games.
Made my choice and bought the game before the reviews and these scores don't change a thing for me. That doesn't mean I won't be disappointed. Doesn't mean I won't be happily surprised. Just gotta play and find out for myself.
