I do want to play it though and see it for myself even if I don't buy it right away.

The only Review that matters is mine, wont decide if a Game is good or not based on other peoples thoughts. The Game looks great and has a lot of gameplay mechanics, far better than any RPG released this year or 2025.

Its a new IP Will have flaws but its a solid one to jump and explore the vast world it has.

LOL. I'm often critical about gaming, but I admit I fell for the hype too thinking it'd be an 85-89 rated game. I didnt follow the game closely, but it seemed like a slam how it was promoted. lol

Lack of problem-solving freedom... I find that particularly interesting because during the DF First Look, John Linneman was glazing the absolute hell out of the fact that the game supposedly didn't hold your hand and let you choose multiple ways to figure out puzzles. IIRC he was gushing about using fire in various ways to clear off vines in what he played. But reading the reviews, including the post by Lex above, it would seem that was mostly superficial bullshit?

Skill issue ?

This was a comment in one of the many preview videos. One I watched might have been the only one or of a select few that could kill one of the bosses in the video. He said the most of the people could not beat that boss.

That game was already gorgeous on PS5, I can only imagine how much better it looks on a high end PC with guerilla's engine with RT effects. I think like the first one it will be a sleeper hit on PC. Like seriously, if you want to make your GPU work for that money you spent on it, Death Stranding 2 is the way, the detail here is great. It's also bat shit insane and the actual gameplay is better than the first.

Luca Marinelli as Neil Vana is one of the best performances I've seen in a video game and I'm not one to simp on real life actors in games.

I have no interest in picking this up right now…but this is some shit post right here…and the whole fucking problem with gaming right now.

I would reccomend watching ACG's review. He gives it a 'wait for sale', but overall his review is pretty positive, and he actually gushes over the exploration, which was always the main thing i wanted from this.

His reasosn to wait for sale are mostly bugs and a lack of guidance, plus a few rather annoying things like unskippable cutscenes before boss fights etc. Hopefully a lot of those problems can be fixed with patches though.
