Jesus Christ, no wonder the VRAM requirements are so low. The pop-in is so aggressive and distracting. For fuck's sake Pearl Abyss, was it too much to ask for you to use the VRAM of GPUs with more than 8GB?

Some of my favorite games scored 70-something. I really don't care that much about woke/retarded journos.

Yeah. I think it's a tad bit sad that we're in an age where numbered scores overrule one's own feelings about a game.

If you have been eyeing a spaghetti dish that you can't wait to try out and and a food critic comes along reviewing said spaghetti dish and hated it, you would suddenly hate it too? C'mon lol. And then they say wait for a deep sale. Buying it at a lower price point ain't gonna fix the review though, nor the game. So why are you going to suddenly invest in a game at that point?

Still ready for launch. I followed the game for 6 years. I'll be damned if someone else's opinion is gonna sway me from that.

At the end of the day, whether you intend to play the game or not, remember that your enjoyment of the game is what ultimately matters and not a numeric score attached to the game.

Just enjoy what you like. 😎

Well said! On the other hand...

Some of you are pathetic. The games getting great reviews.

It has a few bugs, like every modern game ever released.

HARD PASS. I guess...

It's called making an informed decision on a purchase. Not everyone has money to burn. Passing on Crimson Desert doesn't mean passing on it forever. Maybe just not at full price. Some people like it, other don't. If I'm not confident I'll like the game, then I don't want to spend $70 just to "try it, you might like it." No thank you, I'll try it when it's on sale.

It's not being pathetic, it's being smart with your money.

People just focus way too much on scores. If you aren't actually engaging with reviews to find the details of why they liked/disliked something, you aren't doing it right.

The things that are brought up as negatives in many reviews are things that do kinda grate on me, buuut I did enjoy Rage 2 which was rated pretty low iirc. Will definitely pick it up down the line on a decent sale but I worry about getting open world fatigue and end up never finishing it.

Looks like we can safely throw out the comparisons to RDR2 though, lol, people bringing that up always sounded like they were talking complete BS. Nobody does open worlds with the crazy amount of detail like Rockstar does.

EDIT: Seems like a good first attempt though, I think the sequel will have a lot more potential. The tech here looks great at least.

I've never said marathon is successful(I assume you mean player count or financially). I am having fun with it- just passed 100 hours with it.

I even said in the CCU thread the other day I thought it would lose 10k-20k CCU when Crimson releases. Maybe not now.

Oh God, I am definitely out.

Any unskippable cutscenes at all totally kills it for me, let alone ones that repeat like that.

People who were rly hoping this would score 9 when it was obvious its story and map were underwhelming(big does not equal better), are now coping hard. It's a decent game, always looked like it, too ambitious for mmo devs, but not bad. I dont have anything else to play I think, so might bite day one.

I am starting to believe that gamers love the negativity… Hard to believe that gaming is the passion of some people here, looks like some people just want to see this industry dies… is a 77/100 well above average not a 20/100 game.
