What are people's favorite bosses. I think
is mine. Not terribly hard, died a few times. But from look, to arena, to feeling of badassery, I just loved the fight to death.

actually I liked his attitude too xD it really fitted along with his voice... sounds like a nerd guy obsesed with blood and gore but not willing to do anything regarding the matter, plus the weakling look, all that make it feel like a sadistic morbid bastard

I would add:
Certain items and armor sets will be rewarded by merchants if you spend a certain number of souls with them. Talk to them after making large purchases.
Also would add something about how poison arrows are really the best choice for melee characters for ranged combat.

* In Human form you can summon other players,but you are also subject to invasions by other players- you are subject to invasions while hollow as well.

Guys, I'm a bit of the way through NG+ and have decided I'm tired of my quality build. I'd like to get into magic, and I'd like to wreck some PVE. What are some current options that are relatively easy to get into that will satisfy this? I'm gonna respec, and I've got a lot of the hexes/sorceries/pyromancies already. I have a dark pyro glove upgraded to +10 but am not loving it so much. Thoughts?

1. You can leave and join covenants as you please but you can only be in 1 at a time.
2. Depends, are you invading or being invaded? Are you talking about the PVP arena?
I wouldn't even touch the blue sentinel covenant until you get to NG+ as there are more invasions and maybe, just maybe someone else will be in the Way of the Blue covenant that you can save, but still, it's hard to actually get summoned in that group.
For my Hexer, I've tested a Dark Caitha's Chime +10 with S scaling versus my Dark Black Witches Staff +10 with A scaling (and slightly lower base bonus), and the difference was only 40 damage for GRS. I am now using my Black Witche's staff exclusively because it can cast every spell in the game minus pyros. This is incredibly effective for PVP invasions (healing, GMB,Hexes, etc).

My mage wore the Desert Priestess Hood for the most part, since it looks cool (on a female character at least) and gives +3 int bonus. Otherwise I like to see their faces, and I decided that my mage was some sort of badass Sorceress Queen and so gave her the

For robes, the black robe is the best looking one, though the Velka/sinner black robe isn't bad either. I also dig the bone skirt, looks really good mixed with Straid's black robe. For a female the witch dress isn't bad but the bare back is kinda goofy. Looks kinda fitting on my queen though. xD
Disagree completely. No NPC in the previous games were remotely as awesome as Vengarl and Gavlan. They are the best! MAKE DEAL WITH GAVLAN! I also think Navlaan is more interesting than Yurt or Lautrec.
Also Creighton wasn't that interesting (though I like the ambiguity of him being a serial murderer or not...) but his voice... omg dat sexy voice. I let him live just for that.
Cromwell also has an incredible voice (probably a smoker, haha). So many sexy male voices in this game. <3I also have a strange fondness for Cale, because I also love maps. When he brightened so much and said "oh you like maps too??" I had a huge grin on my face. Yes sir, I do! Well met!

I got lucky and wasn't even trying to farm it. Its a rare drop from those HEX casters in the Undead Crypt.
Edit: as a Hexer who can cast anything, I was even running with the Soul Greatsword for a bit, but it only does about 750 dmg at 30FAI/INT. Another good tool for invasions though.

Wow, it took 3 tries, but I finally did it. I always do them solo and sign out because I can't be bothered with the bell tower BS, but I seriously considered summoning help if I couldn't do this after a couple more tries. I've never chugged estus and popped radiant life gems so hard my hands were shaking. Ancient Dragon felt like I was flat-lining compared to how fast my heart was pumping during this fight, lol.

Anyone know what determines a weapon's DEFENSIVE capabilities when two-handing and using it to block?
Ah, I just didn't go back and talk to him. God damnit. Now I'm at the end of NG+ and I didn't even go in the mansion this playthrough. Had all of the bonfires in NG, but not in NG+. Guess I will have to beat all the bosses I skipped this time.
Do I really need every bonfire - ie the second one in black gulch?
The weapon's physical/magic/dark/lightning defense is shown on the equip screen with all the icons, as is the stability.

All primal bonfires, some of which you have to light manually after certain bosses and some of which are simply done by defeating certain bosses. It doesn't mean all bonfires in the game.
