Days Gone Remastered - Horde Assault Trailer | PS5 Games

Confused Curb Your Enthusiasm GIF

Good about the horde, but would be better showing the difference between the remaster and the original... just to be sure this is a remastered indeed.

I'm ashamed to say this is still sitting in my backlog. It came out just as I was fed up with the open world game design. But it's on top of my to-play list for whenever I get an itch for that kind of game again.

OMG. I'm glad I waited to replay this. $10 for a proper PS5 Pro revamp is reasonable and I hope they do this with all their games that deserve the treatment.going forward.

Loved the game until I got to the cave with the horde. Spent weeks trying to figure it out. Gave up.

There are a couple of guns you can get that kill the zombies with one bullet. One of them is an LMG. Makes the hordes cakewalks.

I thought the hordes were pretty lame outside of the 2-3 you have to take on during missions, those were more challenging and took terrain into account.

I had fun with all the hords. It's just fun to mass kill all those zombies...

My funds are already allotted for three games, but I might get this Ps5 version later this year if the upgrade is substantial compared to the Ps4 version. So many very good games this year, and that is great times for gamers.

I'm on my 4th attempt at playing this. Always kind of just stop playing. Atmosphere is insane though. So much rainy weather and the graphics are great.

Looks like PC version IS the remastered version already? As this is just a paid dlc for PC. No longer has a remastered tag, just listed as Broken Road DLC.

I will waiting this update just for the loading times. Quite annoying. I'm not sure what else they can improve graphically because it's still quite impressive for a ps4 game.

Oooooh! The mini-gun is back and the cut-content flamethrower is added! NIIICEEE!

I can imagine I will keep playing this for a looong time!

And Hulst & Co are hopefully going to get all the obvious data which tells them that a Days Gone 2 with added co-op/multiplayer arcade modes is a no-brainer!

I mean, imagine if you could play multiplayer and in the same vein as Resident Evil 6 (it sold megazillions huh!) you could be able to play as strong enemies such as Rager Bear, Breaker or Reacher OR control a massive HORDE! That would be awesome right?!

One of my biggest complaints about the Day's Gone campaign was how little they used the horde mechanic. I think I ran into three hordes total before I put the game down and I made it to the military camp which is a shame as the hordes were the most interesting aspect of the game for me.

The best thing was horde idd....remembering when I was exploring the first map around the camp at beginning of the game, gathering resources & scrap, looking for new weapon & discovered the cave.
I was thinking damn....this must be well hidden cave with some grate loot........big mistake....

The main game had 3 hordes or so, but those were also the biggest hordes.

The rest was optional. It felt good, beating your first one. Because at the start you aren't strong enough. Your speed, stamina and firepower is lacking. Once you can lay mines, throw bombs, have rifles, can outrun them you essentially become the hunter. I believe hordes were out at night, you could fill the cave with traps, and then return when they are sleeping there to bomb the shit out of them before engaging.

You could also throw these lures into enemy camps, which would then let a horde enter it and slaughter everyone while you are chillin outside.

I really liked this game.

Man, after that ending, I want need a sequel...

Anyway, back in 2023 i made the mistake of playing TLOU2 before Days Gone and I just couldn't get into it - the graphics, animations, sound production etc were so beneath TLOU2 that it made it look like a B-tier product in comparison...
...that obviously changed when I actually spent some quality time with the game - yes, it's a slog for the first 2-3 hours but as soon as you lvl up your bike a bit and get some decent weapons the game really gets going, plus, the atmosphere is also preeettty friggin' good.

What initially seemed like yet another zombie game it's now one of my favorite PS exclusives, I actually enjoyed this way, way more than, say, Ghost of Tsushima.

Hope this sells so we can finally get Days gone 2

Days Gone starts as a survival game, you're not strong enough to take them on at first, but later in the game after getting many upgrades and some new guns you practically become rambo.

There's 40 hordes in the game, near the end you unlock a guide showing where each are so you can hunt them all down.

Yes, I know. The point I was trying to make is that they should have incorporated them more throughout the campaign.
True, agree with that. I dodged most because they weren't required to fight, but they probably should have made more missions forcing you to fight them along the way.

Looking back it's practically the last gasp of a "man's man" type action adventure game. With Deacon, Boozer, Kouri, The Colonel and Big Mike and Fucking Skizzo being guys and doing down and dirty post apocalyptic guy shit, but with some real heart to it.

Yea I got deep into 2nd half from what I understood. That cave tho. Couldn't see around, tried running out, bombs, just couldn't do it. Sadly I gave up after weeks as I couldn't change the difficulty level. Might try again later.

Hence, days gone. Those were good days.

The cave hordes are nothin!

Eventually you have no choice but to take one on anyway. You HAVE to take out the horde at the sawmill and there's gotta be hundreds of them there. It's an awesome battle if you know what you're doing.

I can't remember such a mission. There was one in a town and another in a lumber mill.

There was a mission where you had to get something from a cave where a horde was in, but it was enough to come at a different time of day for the horde to be somewhere else.
