You are reading a very different B&R: E than I am.

I just assume Superwoman is going to be about, you know, Superwoman from the Crime Syndicate. She's still alive and kicking and that'd make more sense then a weird Lois Lane story.

Yes I know Superwoman is Lois from Earth 3

I must be the only one confused
1) Is this a complete reboot like new 52 or is it continuing? I just find it dumb that they're putting all these comics back to 1 if it's not a reboot

2) With detective comics will it just continue off where the previous line up ended or is it starting brand new

3) Also what's the difference between this and convergence?

I love reading the harley quinn comics and seeing it going back to #1 is going to be upset if it's starting brand new but still the numbering is dumb.

I'm conflicted :/

So all of that was fake?

Not all of it, just the bits about Lex and Lois with super powers. The list of titles is real.

1) Continuing, but with some changes. Old stuff brought back, current stuff sticks around. It's not entirely clear on how that's gona go down, but it doesn't sound like a reboot. New #1s is fine, it signals a major shift and a good jumping on point.

2) Dunno.

3) I'm... not sure. This is more continuity focused, for one. Need moar deets.

Convergence/DC You was DC's attempt to diversify the stories coming out of their line and put less of a focus on continuity. This is basically doing the opposite.

im so confused, i just got caught up with superman and batman. so what now?

Last year's terrible event, Convergence, was an attempt to put out New 52 titles and create a bunch of titles that featured stories consumers might want to read by popular creators (possibly in different universes), but it lead to problems like being uncertain whether JLA, Justice League, Superman/Action Comics, and Batman/Detective Comics were in the same universe.

Since that's basically failed, this is DC doubling down on continuity and the titles in the OP will all be in the same continuity.

Those stories continue until this starts, at which point Stuff Happens, and new stories start.

Past that it's tough to be sure. From the sound of it, things will keep going pretty much the same for some, and signal a new status quo for others.

Technically Convergence was them covering the downtime during their move from NYC to LA :p

That's what the DCYou was.

we wait for solicitations.

I can't imagine Batman & Superman changing too much fundamentally. Batman is mostly the same already, and I'm guessing Superman will have his identity back and will start a romance with Lois.

I doubt the new 52 is going anywhere, especially since Johns expressly said nothing was being thrown out, only added onto.

No teams or any hint of anything is frustrating. This is especially true with the double shipping books. How will they avoid burning the creative teams out? In many ways we barely learned anything here. :/

So are all of the Action Comics and Detective Comics post-Flashpoint going to be renumbered to pick up from where they left off? Or will post-Rebirth pick up from the pre-Flashpoint numbers?

Seems like May 2016 is the month I finally stop buying DC books. I've been looking for an excuse and this is a perfect one.

In all honesty is more of a money / space thing. Once you start filling up a third long box you tend to question the sanity in buying so many comics every month. And of course, there's the money thing 3-4$ a book converted to Canadian -10% (which I have thanks to maintaining a file at a local shop). I suppose I should also point blame at the odd assortment of books I buy but I mean I'm spending 50$ + every month and I'm lucky if I enjoy even 1 of the 7 or 8 DC books I grab. Marvel is batting 100 by comparison but I also buy quite a bit less from them.

This is all so confusing.

Look, as long as a guy dressed as a rat is throwing boomerangs at a clown, I'll be ok. But man, ever since New 52 I've been completely lost with this reboot stuff.

Out of curiosity, what's your pull list look like?

lol that's nothing. Before a fire happened I had around 20K comics. Still have around 5K.

Ugh, I just started reading at issues 41 for JL and 1 for JLA, along with #1 for the new Hellblazer. Is there any reason to keep going, or should I just drop them until May?

Sounds pretty good so far. A shame about the solicits being fake, The Super-Man sounded awesome. I bet Rich is pissed at that friend right now. $3 price point is nice but I do wonder how long it can be maintained. And there are more bi-monthly books than I thought there'd be so I'll still need to be selective with what I get. I also wonder how long the quality can be kept up for those creators.

The single thing I hated most about the new 52 was regressing Babs back to Batgirl. I've stayed away from her solo book but Batgirl and Birds intrigues me so I'm curious to see more about it.

I know it's a trivial thing but I'm glad Action and 'tec are getting their original numbering back. When the N52 happened I was fine with all the renumberings except for those two. Otherwise I like the idea brought up here of occasional renumbergins acting like TV seasons.

Seems pretty clear we're getting a younger Wally back. Not ideal but much better than what the N52 brought us.

All in all I'm excited, I just hope to God they can pull it off this time. I get the feeling if they don't at least Didio is gone.

Are you digging the stories? If so keep going. It seems like this time they've prepped enough for books to have at least decent endings before the change.

Supergirl is going to be very similar to the TV show, right? With the adoptive sister working for the DEO?

I would be fine with that. I think the show is fun. And they never really seemed like they knew what to do with Kara in the New 52.

Pre flashpoint Action ended around 904 or so, so it's rolling the N25 books into the numbering.

Didio should be gone anyways.

A great argument can be made for that. But DC was on fire for me from before Infinite Crisis and through Blackest Night. The dude can do good work and I'd like to see him do so again.
