You're talking about
Sullivan
right? If so what I did
was get a sniper rifle, made sure I had atleast 1 painkiller, hopped onto the lower scaffolding below him and shot him to hell. You will get hit, and you may fall off, but you should do a lot of damage. You can probably melee him to finish him off. Have a fast weapon like the knife gloves, or nailbat.

Yeah I am, and that's another nice idea. Gonna go try that now.

I think I'm about halfway through now, just about to go do
the snipers
and I was thinking about starting again just because I want more inventory slots for a full playthough. Go for a few achievements and accumulate cash with this playthrough. It's just getting a bit bothersome running out of item slots when I want to carry a couple of books and a few decent weapons, food etc.

On my second playthrough now and man, it's glorious not to have to run around like a lunatic making cases (though that's fun too in its own way). So many places I've discovered already which I never even noticed before. Hope to get most of the anal trophies this time, like every item of clothes/every mixed drink/70k kills etc. What a game this is.

Though still can't believe that "beat every case in co-op" trophy (bronze, no less), what a bunch of shit that is, guess I'll never get the platinum then.

Did that first time round (failed at case 1-2lol). So now i'll restart focusing on the cases, but this time i'm at level 21, knowing where some decent items are, and a better understanding of the map.

Anyhow, I have some questions in preparation for my next run:
3. Where are all the hidden zombrex? I spent most of my money this run on zombrex :(
I only know this one because I looked it up:

Free Zombrex Locations

1.) Royal Flush Plaza
- Case related. It is in Big Roy’s Mart.

2.) Americana Casino
- Go to the second floor of the BBQ restaurant and take a right at the fork. Jump up on
the balcony and over to the closest light. Proceed across the rest of the lights.

3.) Slot Ranch Casino
- Backstage behind the curtain. Climb up a stack of boxes and speakers. Jump onto a
smaller stack of boxes and speakers.

4.) Underground Access
- Directly under the Atlantica Casino. The underground path overlaps the upper edge of
the casino. The Zombrex is near an access ladder on a raised walkway.

5.) Code Blue (mission)
- Save the paramedic. Bring the paramedic to Dean (Mission: Once Bitten) and the
paramedic will also give Dean a free Zombrex.

6.) Yucatan Casino
- On top of the tallest slot machine display in the middle.

7.) Royal Flush Plaza
- Defeat the Postal Worker (Mission).

8.) Silver Strip Diner – Survivor: Richard (Hunger Pains).
- Bring him food and rescue him.

Anyhow, I have some questions in preparation for my next run:
1. Where are the good magazines at and what do they do?
2. What are all the gifts you can give can you give katie?
3. Where are all the hidden zombrex? I spent most of my money this run on zombrex :(
4. Which survivors need items to get them to join?
5. Which survivors give survivor cards?
6. Where are the keys to the car in the mall and the SUV outside?
7. What are all the Juice mixes? Are they just the same ones as DR1?
8. What non-psycho, non-survivor combo cards can you discover?
9. What's the best way to level once you are past 40?
1. Not sure I randomly came across some good mags
2. there are 10 gifts in total and can be found in the toy stores in the Plaza and mall
Snowflake the tiger, a painting that you purchase from a survivor on day 3, stuffed: bear, rabbit, donkey, elephant and bull, water gun, beach ball, pony stick
3. there are 4 hidden zombrex and can be found link. You get another from a psychopath and 2 from 2 survivors. Buy the end of my run I had 3 left and only bought 1 in the beginning.
4. I cant name them all, you will have to look at a guide, some needed food or drink, 3 needed money totaling $43,000. The worst survivor is BiBi.
need drink, dress in tux and attract zombies using firecrackers.
5. Only one I remember was the rock bank. It was hard for me to tell since I had large groups through out my play through.
6. Most keys are sold in the thiefs shops though out the map Suv is $2 million, car is $500,000 and bike I think is $100,000.
7. link
8. link
9. I am sure there are plenty of ways, replaying and doing a perfect run or go for the zombie genocide will do the trick. If you do go for the genocide make sure to have the Horror (25%pp boast) and Driver/motorcycle books.
hope this helps and good luck.

Going to tell you the really easy (and cheap) way to do it.
I suppose you have saved near the elevator in the yucatan casino, ok, open the map. You will see the nearest place you can make objects is at the right wall when you go outside of the toilets. Go there. You will have to grab around two fire torches (there are placed all around the yucatan) before going in. Enter and get the toy gun there, mix the torches and the gun to get the gun that spits fireballs. Go and save, load, and repeat.
When you have 2 of them go to the boss fight, I recommend you have a good object that also kills zombies fast. The room below him theres a kitchen with a lobster. Get it. Now go up stairs and enter the boss room.
-Kill all the surrounding zombies with your fast weapon of choice, never stop so Sullivan doesnt shot you, nor uses the dynamite. You can only kill if you want half of them on the left part, thats the part where is the trick and the right part zombies usually dont come near you. There are lots of zombies with bees there that can help kill the zombies with ease. If Sullivan hits you and you are low on health, eat the lobster.
-When you have done this go to the left part below the platform where sullivan is standing. RIGHT BELOW. You will see he cant shot you from there.
-Get out your toy gun that spits fire and retreat slowly back untill you can see the top part of his body our of the platform and you will see that although he is trying, he cant shot you from there. But you my friend, locating a good position, CAN!
-Shot that motherfucker, he will go down, lose life, get up, change to anear place. Shot him again, he will fall down, lose life, get up and go to the other place were he was, rinse and repeat. In 3 minutes he will be dead.

Thanks, i'll give this a try as well.

I can get very very close to killing him with the sniper rifle, but so far no luck in finishing it. An additional health bar and item slot would make a huge difference :lol.

They carry over. The only ones that don't are the big zombie killing achievements, including the one for
the gas zombies

I gotta be close to getting them, but I'm sure theres a few hidden items I haven't even seen yet. I'm still coming across new areas and I'm almost done with playthrough 2. I was gonna start case files on the 3rd go but I might just have to screw around one more time. I'll be almost lvl 50 by the time I start them. Oh well, it just means that I'm having fun.

It does. I managed to complete it even though i missed one poster that was locked away behind a story door that i got previously on the playthrough before.

Oh, and I have Logitech controller that resembles a DS3. Will I be able to properly config it without any issues?

Just finished the game, but it seems I missed some survivors, even though I was pretty thorough completing missions.

Can someone "spoiler" a list of the hidden survivors and day/time of them, just so I can check who I missed ?

This is the full list. Keep in mind that the Notebook does not list them in any particular order outside of the first few entries being Psychopaths, so keep that in mind when planning your moves.

I didn't skip a single call, but seems some of them aren't meant to be found easily.
Kinda sucks missing so few though because I was doing so well timewise without a guide.

Just like the first game, they make it a point to encourage roaming around and outside of your "schedule" with the unlisted survivor missions. That way, you can try for a perfect run once you're confident enough with your routes and shortcuts.

I mean, hell, there's still a good amount of people who aren't even aware that there's a fifth mission-related Zombrex that you can obtain.

I never had an issue with them in 2. I would just run and keep spamming follow me so they wouldn't stop to fight any zombies. I made them all wait in bathrooms or stores a lot, they always listened.

Wow, I've played through and restarted the game over 6 times and I can honestly say that I've never had the problem that you did.

For me, unlike the first one, I'll just go charging ahead into a swath of zombies and the survivors follow me just fine. Maybe you just ran into a nasty bug?

I never had a survivor that I didn't just run straight to the safe room and have them follow me without pressing anything. I also never had a single survivor lose more than like one health bar, and they always get out of the "zombie grab". I'm not sure why you're having such a different experience.

Now dead rising one...that's another story, but DR2 I found almost too easy in the survivor area.

Maybe it's just bad luck, but I had it happen twice in the past hour with two separate survivors. I was so frustrated I couldn't even scream at the screen. I just stared.

This is incorrect. The reason why you unlocked that while missing the one behind the locked door is because there is 1 more poster than you need. You do have to complete this in one playthrough.

Weird dude. Is it a survivor that is disabled and you have to carry them? They are the only ones who cannot follow you. The survivors can get stuck on a zombie occasionally but as long as you run back to them they free themselves almost straight away.

I'm going through a second run now, and unlocked the 8 survivor achievement, zombrex posters, and working on the gifts and 50 survivors. The first thing I've noticed is that at level 42, I'm absolutely destroying bosses that I had a lot of trouble with on my first run. Not by a small margin either, I'm talking killing them before they have a chance to react half the time, and even if they do hit me they do no damage.

Nope, they both had legs and seemed capable of walking but they just stood in the same spot and ignored me completely. The game confirmed they were supposed to follow me. They were alive. They definitely didn't want to get eaten. I even did them a favour and blasted through every zombie in a 20 metre radius around them. They still ignored me.

If this honestly hasn't happened to anyone else I'll give the game a little credit and assume it was just glitchy. It's just frustrating to have it happen twice within an hour for no reason at all.

I really want to enjoy my time with this game but when you're a self-admitted completion-ist, having shit like that happen and put the control out of my hands really hampers the fun.

The worst I had was a survivor getting grabbed by a zombie and needing to go back and free them. Of course, I wouldn't go anywhere without the leadership mag.

So it did come up with giant blue letters saying PERSON HAS JOINED. Right? If so, it sounds like they glitched out on you. That's not normal.

You probably got them in a certain shop in the first area. And if you would have read what they said, you'ld know they don't move without their stuff.

Those are the only survivors that I know off that won't move when you tell to.

edit: even without leadership mag.

Are you kidding me? The survivor AI in DR2 is too good. It's nearly impossible to lose them with rare exception. DR1 on the other hand was much more challenging in that regard.

Ok, no, I'm gonna make this clear, they were just regular happy-time every day survivors who assured me that they wanted to live. They were not disabled. They did not want anything. They joined my party. They stood there and died.

I can assure you guys I know how to play the game though, and from what you guys tell me I'm almost positive it was just a glitch. I don't remember their names because I rage quit but I'll go through it again and get their names for you guys when I work up the patience to play it again.

Yeah, I haven't had any issue with the survivors. I leave them to their own devices and they tend to take care of themselves. If I'm in a rush I just hurry to the safe room bypassing all zombies and they're always right there behind me.

I'll sometimes delay taking survivors back to the safe room on purpose because it's fun watching them smack zombies around, especially since they're pretty effective about it. They can also distract psychos.

The survivors do follow you (unless they're being chewed on, which happens to me a lot). My guess is that the survivors aren't officially JOINED yet. Some of them you have to talk to over and over. In particular, the separated couple on the west side of the outdoor plaza (girl standing on a merch booth) has some misleading dialogue where they're like "yeah let's go!" but then you have to talk to them again before they actually come with you.

My question is, how do I deal with
Snowflake? I can kill Ted no problem but then she mauls me no matter what I do.

Knife Gloves.

Spam the Double Leg Jump Kick -> hit him twice with the knife gloves, rinse, repeat. I thought he was complete bullshit before, but it's a cakewalk that way. Especially since you already seem to have a good strategy to take off a lot of his health before.

Only trouble I had with a survivor was the limping army dude. He just would not get in the fucking wheelchair. Reloaded and it worked fine so must have been a glitch.

Do a Youtube search for
Skill to Survive, there's plenty of tutorials out there. The basic gist of it is to get 3 steaks from the nearby restaurant and put them down on the floor near Snowflake. Eventually she stops to eat them and once she's eaten all 3 you get a cutscene.

No, the Case Files are separate from anything the other survivors require. You will get very bored on Day 3 after the Zombrex without doing side missions, though. :lol

So, unless I'm mistaken, case 5-2, The Getaway, is not one of those cases
you can leave until the very last minute, because the winch cable will snap regardless of how many hits you get on the rotor when time runs out on the mission.
Yes, this happened to me. :lol Thank god for multiple save slots.

Also, am I correct in thinking that side missions with green locations are all survivor missions, while side missions without green locations are all psychopath missions? I'm not a big fan of psycho missions and I wouldn't mind it if I could skip those and just do the survivor rescues. Would be nice the green locations in the mission descriptions were a key that these missions were for survivors.

Also, is it possible to have Bibi
turn into a psycho? 'Cause she seems a bit psycho-ish. But I managed to have her follow me in the end. I wasn't sure if there was only one outcome to that mission. If you screw up on the fireworks in the concert enough times will she turn on you?

Loving the game so far. It's a vast improvement over the original (sorry, Frank).
