It's out there in all the wrong ways, even worse than the first game was and in a way that none of the MGS games were. It feels really modern Western in the worst possible way.

Also that last quoted sentence has a swipe typo. It should say whack not what.

I said so far. I didnt do a review. My opinion can change. Seems like everyone here missed that part and called me a retard. Its okay, I get that ppl hate me here cuz I tend to criticize stuff and very rarely somethign deserrves a 9 or 10 which is what triggers a lot of fanboys. Whatev. What never ceases to amaze me is that when pushed, some people will always fall back to the "I'm the victim here !" and "poor me" mentality, it's never their fault, it's always the others that are, somehow, always in the wrong.

Again, absolutely zero self awareness.

Also : no one "hates" you (your words), it's just that you're a constant, negative ball-breaker that whines 99% of the time in here, it's got nothing to do with you "being objective" and people "hating" on you 'cause of it.

I'm just curious - is there an obvious reason that the previews were cut off at 30 hours? Like does shit go sideways in one way or another?

I have completed the first chapter today on normal difficulty, and it wasn't a challenge, really. So yeah, to this point it's a bit too easy for my taste, should have probably chosen the hardest difficulty level in hindsight.

Reviews were absolutely forbidden to discuss anything happening after a specific mission happening somewhere at mid game. So…

Truly hope this comes to PC or Xbox next year. Currently am playing the directors cut and finding it a very interesting and zen experience.
 
Played an hour of the original today and whoa. Loved seeing Kojimas name 5 times in the opening credits; don't change hideo. I'm excited to keep playing

The first game was also pretty easy even on Hard. Just going to be one of those games where difficulty isn't the draw of it.
 
Played for about 3h first 2:45 without the day one patch didn't encounter any issues with the disc version but without the day one patch online features dont work so i installed it. Love it so far. Cant wait to continue tomorrow after work 🤣
 
Got a a good 3h into it, first fight was awesome but it had its issues.. but could have been me still getting a feel for switching weapons. Game is beautiful atmosphere is there.

True and I find it very fluid. Stranding fuckers and if somehow I missed tagging someone and he saw me, I switch to my non-lethal AR. Combat been very fluid so far and I like it

Combat is beefed up significantly but ultimately its still Death Stranding, and there's no getting around this is a game about making deliveries and building infrastructure.

Honestly, I don't know - some people who didn't enjoy the first game eventually warmed to it... but probably not.

I'm having a great time myself, but I loved the original.

It do be like that on the easiest difficulty though. Hell, I'm playing on normal and the game is super easy so far, if people are having trouble even on the easiest difficulty then they might want to reconsider their capabilities to play videogames altogether...

How scripted are the environmental hazards like the landslide and the bushfire? Are they set story moments or can you trigger them dynamically?
