How is the PS5 pro version vs the standard?

Also, is there anything that moves over from the first game if I have a save file.

Im trying to avoid any spoilers. Not watching that DF video

DF video is now up. Seems to be better IQ, slight resolution improvement and ps5 pro doesn't have some graphical ailments the base does. Both versions meet 30/60 targets in quality/performance modes. They said barely any difference in the pro quality and performance modes too I think, so play on performance on pro

I think the game is already available in the New Zealand store. I might just buy some psn cards and buy it there

Didn't look that minimal to me between the SKU's. The takeaway was pretty close to quality mode on base model at 60fps. It was noted that on the Pro the difference between quality and performance was minimal. (ie not much reason to run quality mode on the Pro). Sounds like a title hitting the stated Pro target. Quality at 60fps.

Watching the DF review on a 4K TV. Think I'll go with Performance mode for base PS5. Don't see any difference between Quality and Performance.

Sony itself considers this game first-party. lol

Sony have completly funded the game and xDev, their first-party studio who work supporting external developers, have work in the game.

It's funny that the comments here complain about the reviews with lower scores lmao

As if they were less biased than reviewers like "PSX Brasil", "Push Square", "Meu PlayStation" and other PlayStation fansites that push the average up with their generalized scores of 9 and 10 for any exclusive.
 
The only thing Im apprehensive about is quite a few reviews saying its easier and a more chilled experience than the first.

Might wait for a few weeks to see some feedback on here.

Push Square is one of the toughest sites regarding PS games scores.

Only a fanboy would say something like you did.
 
I think that Death Stranding as a series cannot be considered Sony exclusive any more.
Timed exclusive yes, and we can also safely assume that without Sony we wouldn't have it, considering they provided the engine and enormous support.
But it's not an exclusive imo.

The game wouldnt exist if it wasnt for Sony and GG Decima engine, but I agree. This is a Kojima multiplatform franchise but thankfully Andrew House set Kojima up with a favour before he left. Props to Sony for that!
 
I just read just few sentence on some reviews and did not watch video reviews to avoid spoilers, but it looks like its on its way not just game of the year but possibly best game of the generation.
