That looks like steam store set up issue.![]()
If it's not the account, then what could the cause be?
No, Sony did it themselves because they don't operate on those countries.Did Steam auto-add blocking to Sony published games?
That's dumb if you don't need a PSN account for anything on this game. No, Sony did it themselves because they don't operate on those countries.

My guess is there's laws and taxes associated with selling in these countries that Sony isn't setup for.I don't understand what is the point of blocking the sale of a digital game in a certain country, I can understand maybe not considering to distribute a physical version because of costs/expected sales, but a digital copy? Even if only 1000 people buy it, it's free money.
All the tax reporting and so on. Sony might not have the service set up for it and doesn't want to bother.I don't understand what is the point of blocking the sale of a digital game in a certain country, I can understand maybe not considering to distribute a physical version because of costs/expected sales, but a digital copy? Yes, but that's sadly how Sony operates. They have never supported these countries on PlayStation and they won't on Steam. That's dumb if you don't need a PSN account for anything on this game.
Sony being the one and so far only company to pull this shit, when everyone else joined the 21st century at least a decade ago, does not make this scenario the "all digital future". The Sony shit gets so much attention every time exactly because it isn't the norm.Welcome to your all digital future. It's as bad as us physical media purists have been saying from day fucking one.
Some countries are gonna miss out…..

I wonder how the indie devs manageAll the tax reporting and so on. Sony might not have the service set up for it and doesn't want to bother.
That the best I can think of.
Wish Eve asked me where I live.![]()
Every other company manages, far smaller ones than Sony have managed it in fact. All the tax reporting and so on. Sony might not have the service set up for it and doesn't want to bother.
That the best I can think of.
You realize this is Sony right, and that these same countries aren't supported by PSN on console either. The Joy of PC Gaming. Hassle free.
PSN doesn't but they not buying it from PSN but Steam. So still doesn't make any sense. No, Sony did it themselves because they don't operate on those countries.
What are you even talking about?Welcome to your all digital future. It's as bad as us physical media purists have been saying from day fucking one.
Yes, but the thing is that Sony doesn't have accounting operations on those countries, so they refuse to sell their games over there. It's a matter of logistics, but yes, they unironically don't want those countries' money.PSN doesn't but they not buying it from PSN but Steam. So still doesn't make any sense.
lol you cant buy physical copies of this game in those countries either.Welcome to your all digital future. It's as bad as us physical media purists have been saying from day fucking one.
Which is funny because people in those countries do buy playstation consoles and have psn accounts.Yes, but the thing is that Sony doesn't have accounting operations on those countries, so they refuse to sell their games over there. It's a matter of logistics, but yes, they unironically don't want those countries' money.
Sony can do it (they used to), they just choose not to, as weird as it sounds. Stubborn company things.Sounds that Sony is basically incompetent. One person dev studios manage to sell shit on Steam worldwide, but somehow this is an insurmountable barrier for Sony.![]()
Yep, stubborn and incompetent.Sony can do it (they used to), they just choose not to, as weird as it sounds. Stubborn company things.
(and not, it's not about MAU either, as PSN is completely optional)
Denuvo, so not anytime soon. These countries can jack sparrow a copy.
All the tax reporting and so on. Sony might not have the service set up for it and doesn't want to bother.
That the best I can think of.
Is it confirmed to be the case? I don't recall any other Sony game having Denuvo, including TLOU2 past month.Denuvo, so not anytime soon.
What are you even talking about?![]()

I wonder if Shift Up wanted this, we will see once Lost Soul Aside gets close to release.
It's on PC.You realize this is Sony right, and that these same countries aren't supported by PSN on console either.
The disc version of the PC game? We are talking about a Steam version.you can always easily import a disc version... that's what he's talking about. often you don't even have to and get it through stores that sell imported titles.
using a VPN to get around region locks on Steam can get you banned for example and you can only change region every 3 months anyway.
