Found out the Vanguard sniper is actually better for the Nightfall than P&T. Will have to see with an upgraded P&T, but unflinching against all those Hive bastards is fucking beautiful.

So many Gjallahorn drops, makes me jealous. I have decided my purchase of Destiny 2 hinges on me getting a Gjallarhorn at some point. It is the only reason I continue to play. I will pass on a sequel out of spite. RNG is sinister. I am sick of seeing everyone else get awesome drops and I get shit. I now have enough coins banked to just sit out in case Xur sells it. I don't have time to keep grinding like I have. Probably just poke in for a raid here or there, but that's about it. It's time to scale back my playtime and do other things.

It should also be possible to run it normally with a sunsinger by standing in your own solar grenades, self-res, flame shield etc. I got pretty far, but it isn't worth the hassle.

8PM EST, 6 guardians went down the summoning pitts to defeat crota.
We all worked very hard all night, and we were ready to give up after 7 to 8 hrs of constant work, we were exhausted, team began to crumble, everyone was fed up, tired, blaming each other for our faults, blaming the game for acting up on us, etc. This is when we all called "our last shot". We gave it our best.
3:45AM EST, 15mins before reset, 6 guardians became legend and saw crota's end:

Hunter: Boots, gloves, Black Hammer, radiant mats
Titan: Chest, Raid RL, randiant mats
Warlock: Nothing because he's still level 28 (he did get radiant shards from the first chest though). This week I'll try to get him through the bridge to see if I can snag him some raid gear. Will have to find some willing participants.
The only way this week can top last week is with a Ghorn. I won't hold my breath.
