Well, this is a fanfiction, and therefore not about Destiny's story specifically. Also, I haven't seen one thread on the story, nor do I wish to necrobump one if there is one (I'm assuming that thread, if it exists, died already).

I finished the story. It was...ok. I would have liked more of a set piece though. One of my biggest complaints is the bosses in this game are SHIT. They're just bigger, bullet sponge versions of normal enemies. Why can't we get unique looking bosses?

I like this game but I want to like it more. I really hope future content and the sequel fix things up.

Looking for a little guidance regarding endgame.

I reached lv 20 over the weekend, and now I have access to the strike list, heroics and such. ALso I notice now I can start the reputation thing.. is it worth it to go ahead and commit to the vanguard stuff or should I switch inmediately to the faction of my choice?

Also is there a faction that is friendly for PVE'ers, I notice a lot of them require crucible marks, not feeling the MP this time around.

yeah, the story is horribly done in this game. It's one thing to be obscure, but the game gives you grimoire cards you can't even read in game. It just feels like they didn't have time to make an interface for it so they released an app instead. I don't get it.

Has anyone else noticed the 56k modem sounds subtly mixed into the Moon Strike mission final boss music? It's real subtle but it's in there.

I like the game.

But asking for a normal 5 hour campaign with some cutscenes is not much to ask I think

You are talking to the wrong vendors.
No rank or level requirement.

It's on the very bottom row of 2 vendors. Crucible is in the middle area, vanguard is in the ship area.

Bungie seems to live in their own little bubble. I cannot fathom that this game wasn't focus tested. Actually, I know that it was. And yet somehow Bungie still arrived at these decisions.

Things like no in-game story, no voice chat, no matchmaking, no NPCs acknowledging your race, all the meaningless jargon constantly coming from your ghost...

Who was even asking for this stuff?

If there was prox voice in the Tower I would easily spend hours each night just hanging out with people.

I don't regret my purchase, but with how varied peoples' reactions to the game is, I'd say not, honestly. Buy the cheapest option and see if you like the game first.

It's not, but what don't you understand?

It's obvious that they didn't treat it as an afterthought. They just fell short of the audience's expectations. It happens all the time.

It's disappointing but not a mystery as to how it could have ever possibly happened.

The Nexus loop caters to crypt/legendary/materials
The Loop does all that + you power level the shit out of your Marks for your factions

This is not the route you do to farm that spot.

The video is missing 4 or 5 chests that can hold the spawns for everything else.
