Furthermore, the reason people are getting two exotic drops from one ultra kill sometimes is because the 3oC is a chance to spawn its "own" exotic. i.e. on those kills, that boss would have given one exotic. The 3oC exotic is a "bonus" exotic.

Absolutely. It's a fast run to Draksis. You should equip heavy boots to avoid Mindlog's first world problems.

You can kill him (after spending 5 minutes to get to him) in about 10 seconds a trip.

Shito lets him walk up to him, I just run up the gut and give him a rocket hug.

Okay, I have a plan.

All I need to do is get out of work at lunch, go home, sneak past the mother-in-law and baby into the basement, fire up Destiny, visit Xur, run like hell to Draksis, and Profit.

I have an hour at lunch and my commute home is 25 minutes. If all goes to plan I will have 10 minutes to pull this off. Smh.

Engrams = 290
Non-random (sold directly or bought at Exotic kiosk) = 280. Either way you'll wanna infuse them past those levels whenever you can.

Most everyone does at this point, I'd guess.

Cost proposition is likely the reason Xur no longer directly sells Exotic Shards. Now you have to kill an average of 5 Ultras for a chance at either a new Exotic or one you can dismantle for the Exotic Shard.

Time investment seems to be the only thing being skewed by this farming method, so I would expect them to either add a small timer on the consumption of a Three of Coins similar to ammo synthesis, or restrict to Ultra targets outside of Story missions.

EDIT: since many of the low-level CoO are 2 bosses, the rate of drops might be faster than even Draksis.

EDIT 2: and you can be getting runes and artifacts and shit.

Yes, but In a fireteam you run the risk of losing the CP, especially on Gate Lord, it just takes too long to go back to orbit.

Ok I got a theory here , think some exotic gear is locked behind quest ( legs) as I not have seen them drop for anyone , same goes for hunters chest and warlock blink helmet , did people get it or am i wrong here ? Btw used 50 three of coins got 10 exotics.

I've wasted all of my strange coins and got only two weapon engrams, which turned into Suros and Monte Carlo. Fucking great.

This is really screaming to me not worth it.

In that spending of a 3oC you could have gotten like 5 paths to 290 with engrams in a strike.

Oh I would totally run some strikes if it wasn't the fucking Echo Chamber every other time.

I'm seeing a lot of people get two or more of the same thing here and on reddit. I would guess that means it would be better to go decrypt the engram once you get it to avoid duplicates. So making less runs and more frequent trips to the tower would likely be worthwhile for varieties sake.

Legendary only has 1 code which bundles all the DLC. No way they can give you TTK but not HoW for instance.

As to trusting that site or not, that's your call

I need to get off Gaf and Reddit. I was excited to learn about the Raid today but at this point I just feel sick. Hopefully I get a small chance to use some 3oC's tonight but I see this getting over-corrected to the point where people who weren't able to play early are left out of the fun (see: Queen's Wrath 1.0, Xur selling strange coins, any other exploit I'm missing here).

Feels bad man.

Maybe they just leave it. Give us the Quest Exotics to strive for, and if people want to farm engrams and gamble at the Draksis casino, let 'em.

Would be nice.
