I feel like everything this expansion is void shields, like they're compensating or something. That might just be a gut reaction though. Seen a lot of arc too. The only new enemy I can think of with a solar shield are the Taken Fallen Captains and I would not want to get close enough to sword them anyway.

Their blinding blasts can fuck directly off.

Which runes do you have? If its the first level rune you should be able to walk up to the front left rune (closest do the arena) and present it.

It is lame but works pretty good. I used like 65 of them and got like 20 exotic engrams to drop in the hour and a hal I was doing it.
