It tells you to complete the mission "cayde's stash". so you select the mission "cayde's stash" and don't go into patrol

It's a perk that creates more orbs.

Doesn't matter imo. Best to infuse either one of them into a 1000 Yard Stare sniper to get that up to 300. So so good.

I've been pondering that, I think I might do that if I can for sure get it to 300.

The problem I have with this coin trick is that it is sending a negative message about the game's loot system and overshadowing other problems. It's also making a lot of content available too early, which is a general concern I have had for year two.

I'd love to hear more about the bolder here.

You also made a point about working towards exotics, and Bungie is providing just that. Which is great! House of Wolves had the Elder Cipher. Now there's Chaperone, Exotic Sword Quests, Boolean Gemini, Aces HC, probably more. And you can buy any year two exotic you already had. The 3oC expendable is to help with all the non-quest, non-returning exotics. It was a good idea. And it is broken as is because of boss frequency, not drop chance. The drop rate is ~15% / coin. Not crazy really. I'm not defending 3 of Coin as it is now. It is an unpleasant experience grinding Draxis, being exposed to raw RNG. I'm saying getting some exotics early doesn't ruin the game. Even if I got everything I wanted, I can play the game and still have a ton of fun. But that's me.

There is no news about additional DLC for the game and I doubt we'll see any of it until next spring. This expansion has to last at least 6 months and I do not want another House of Wolves situation where the content is old after 2 weeks. Of course, the problem then was also the fact that the loot system was largely based on RNG, which is no longer the case.

This doesn't worry me as much. No way the content is old after 2 weeks. L I have 3 pages of Quests on my main alone. I haven't touched my alts. I haven't done any strikes or the raid yet. And the raid seems like it's good enough to have real legs. I can easily see this expansion lasting 6 months.

But lol at blocking machinegun fire and cutting people down. Sooooo good! Blocking with sword in crucible is fun, people never expect it.

On the ToC exploit: I played what I think is a pretty decent amount of Destiny year 1 (about 175 hours give or take) and in all that time for actual drops I only got a couple unique exotics. It may have literally been 2. That's insane. I feel like I should have owned 75% of them after that amount of time. Not just a couple that I didn't even really want.

The only reason I ever got Suros Regime is because Xur sold it. Same thing with The Last Word if I remember right. Never got to use a Gjallarhorn or Ice Breaker or Thorn. Missed them or didn't have the coins to buy them when they were available. Until finally the second time Xur sold Gjallarhorn. Aaaand then they nerfed it/left it behind right after that.

My point is not having those mentioned weapons makes me feel like I missed out on a lot of the game. A lot of the fun I could have had. I missed out on blowing shit to pieces with Gjallarhorn and there were definitely times when an Ice Breaker would have come in very handy. But nope. Wasn't to be.

So this time around I will exploit the shit out of any chance I get to get these coveted weapons and I will have a blast with them. I'm not going to work my ass off again only to hope and pray some terrible RNG system gives me what I want, only to be left disappointed time and time again.

And I do understand the grind/rng should be fixed or at least better than year 1, and so far it does seem like it's much, much better. However I am not going to take my chances and let these pass me by when I can get them right now.

I think it's good that it caught you once. I think that's what it's supposed to be, a one time thing that catches you totally off guard because thematically that's what Oryx is doing in universe. You beat him, you used all your counter tactics against what he threw at you and he is at the very very VERY last sliver of his existence. And in that desperate moment, he throws his one last trump card at you.

I think it's a pretty great moment because let's be honest, this one wipe? It ultimately means nothing. But that one little feeling of "HOLY SHIT WHAT I DID NOT EXPECT THAT OMGGGG"? That's priceless.

I completely understand what you're saying. I might even agree... eventually. The rage is just too fresh currently, lol. Hard to explain but it's such an intense fight that requires perfect execution over an extended period of time. To reach that point and have the rug pulled out from under you is tough. It absolutely fits the characterization well though, like you said. I might grow to begrudgingly respect it. It definitely leaves an impression when you finally get him down after being so damn close.

Draksis isnt dropping exotics anymore. Respawned And beat him six times just now

Nothing has changed. The normal drop rate for exotics from ultras is 1% or less. The coin increases it to around 15%, give or take a few. That means on average you'll have to kill him 5-6 times to get an exotic drop. RNG being RNG, sometimes it'll be a streak of 10 before you get one, sometimes it'll be 2 drops back to back.

15% or so means 85% or so of the time, you will NOT get an exotic from him. Those aren't great odds! That's why the draksis thing is so funny, you can crank out hundreds of RNG tries an hour and you can't do that any other way.

I'm becoming more inclined to just use my 3oCs as I run strikes. I mean, Draksis is faster and all, but the end result should be the same statistically right?

I have a shit-ton of strikes to do for the Vanguard Heroic part of the Vanguard strike quest chain and am going to need to do more strikes soon when New Monarchy's exotic quest chain hits (I'm at 24 with them).

Yea nobody is going to be doing Court of Oryx for long. It's too easy to troll and cost somebody their runes. I saw some people waiting outside while I summoned and then they'd come in to summon theirs and leave again.

I've done more then 20 tier 1 events (half of them I summoned) and participated in about 10 tier 2 events that others started.
